Welcome to another new world gold guide, we're trying a few things thinking what can we make a guide about and to be honest aside from guides, we need merges but those aren't coming till mid-January, because as many of you know Katie made a post on Twitter the other day, stating that they are aware of the need for merges, but everyone's on holidays right now, and they will have an announcement regarding when and which when everyone's back, also for the same reason, there isn't much going on on the PTR, nothing new nothing to test, it's all pretty much just in Holiday mode.
So what did we do, while doing this we made some what surprising discovery we're a hoarder no sadly that's not the discovery we already knew that no the discovery was that we managed to store away on alts and in the Maine's various sheds a ton of random Arcana potion materials, and we do mean a ton, we haven't really touched our canis since we did the aptitude video way back in February, and without a need to make potions anymore, well they just sort of what they are taking up a sizable amount of space, so the first instinct was of course to sell them, and I will say if you find yourself in this position do sell them, but then I remembered when we posted the armoring aptitude video, we had a bunch of comments asking if other aptitudes were worth doing and what did you get from them, so seeing as we had all this crap anyway, and it really wasn't going to cost me anything, we thought why not, let's burn these materials and get some Arcana aptitude levels and see what we get these days from the Arcane aptitude crates, we honestly have been wanting to do this anyway, with transmog coming, the patterns for staffs will give you unique skins, so this is something we would like to have, a secondary benefit of this was of course pushing my Brimstone Sans influence to increase my storage size there also, so we set out to making a pile of potions, now we did stick to the Mana regen potions and health regen potions as much as I could with the materials we had, because these potions do have some value, the health potions and the Mana potions the regular ones, those you're better off throwing on the ground than selling, we also have to say, we never in the past pushed our can aptitude this way, when we did it back in February, we did it with leather making gauntlets, so we're curious how well this would go, so in the end we had made 21 of each crate for Arcana, and my storage of course LED out a very resounding sigh of relief we have so much free space now, it's amazing how much space throwing this stuff without paying attention into your storage over months winds up taking up, so let's open these up and see what we got:

It was a fun experiment and not a total loss, we did get nine weaponsmith’s charms which sell very well almost for around 15K each, we also got a ton of cooldown materials Timeless shards and various other goodies, so after testing so many aptitude crates for so many different skills, we would now have to say armoring is still favorite profit-wise, follow closely by Arcana then Furniture, the rest well they need to rework those, ones like engineering are nowhere near as rewarding as these, we're not sure if it is a mistake or if they thought grinding them with among would be too easy, so it's intended who knows, but engineering just doesn't give materials like these ones do they just give plain old tier 4 materials.
