Diablo 4 Mythic Unique Drop Rate in Season 5
The Tormented Bosses, Duriel, and Andariel have 5 chances to drop a Mythic at a 1.5% chance each. Now, let’s calculate the Mythic Uniques drop rate from tormented bosses.
Total drop rate = 1 - (1-0.015)^5 = 1 - 0.927 = 0.073 (7.3%)
So, we can get the rough drop rate of Mythic Unique items from each Tormented boss, Duriel, and Andariel is close to 7.3%.
In D4 S5, the actual drop rate for Mythic Uniques seems increased, with a powerful build, you are able to get multiple Mythic items in just a few runs. Based on the test, Rob2628 claimed that the drop chance of Mythic can reach 20% in Season 5. Even if it is not that high, this season is easier for farming Mythic Unique items like Shako and The Grandfather.
How to Get Mythic Unique Items in Diablo 4
1. Tormented Bosses
It is recommended to farm all Tormented versions of endgame bosses: Echo of Varshan/The Beast in the Ice/Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint/Lord Zir/Duriel, King of Maggots/Echo of Andariel, as they all have five chances to drop a mythic at a 1.5% drop rate each. In addition, the cost to summon them is reduced to 1 Stygian Stone.
2. World Bosses & Chests
The Mythic items can drop from world bosses with a level 55+, always at iPower 925, you can farm anywhere you do get a regular unique.
3. Endgame Bosses
Mythic Uniques can also be targeted from Duriel, King of Maggots, and Echo of Andariel, Maiden of Anguish, which has the same drop rate as tormented bosses.
4. Crafting
Mythic Unique items can be crafted using 4 Resplendent Sparks, which can be obtained by salvaging Mythics or as a first-time reward for defeating the Tormented versions of endgame bosses.
