Look at our WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2 tier list for leveling, we break down the strengths and weaknesses of each class to guide you in making the optimal choice for your 25-40 adventure.
In the World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2, the importance of selecting a strong leveling class cannot be overstated. The leveling phase is a crucial aspect of the game that sets the foundation for a character's progression and success in subsequent content, including raids and end-game activities. A good leveling class excels at dispatching enemies quickly and efficiently. Faster leveling means reaching the end-game content sooner, allowing players to participate in raids, dungeons, and other group activities with their guild or friends. Now, let's check WoW SoD phase 2 best leveling class for 25-40.
S - Mage
Mage is the best WoW Season of Discovery leveling class simply due to the fact that they can AOE grind. They have the fastest leveling experience out of all classes which is probably why the world's first 60 in Classic WoW was a mage Joker.
S - Hunter
Hunter this is a solid S tier best SoD Phase 2 leveling class. Hunters have been the strongest class overall in Season of Discovery. Their pets receive a massive boost from the Beast Mastery rune.
A - Druid
In terms of leveling, we’re going to put them in a solid A tier. They’re going to be a strong leveling class in Season of Discovery Phase 2 because they received a lot of runes that only make them stronger. With Fury of Storm Rage, you'll probably find yourself leveling as balance because of the free wrath casts. Unlike Classic, you probably won't find yourself using bare form after 10 when you unlock it. Simply because Fury of Storm Range is so much more powerful. Even at 20 when you unlock cat form. While Feral DPS is quite strong at max level with some raid gear. Questing in general is just a lot simpler and a lot easier than balance. Overall they're very well-rounded with self heals but they can't level as quickly as some of these other classes.
A - Paladin
Paladin is also another solid A tier class on our WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 Leveling tier list. They received quite a few buffs from Classic Crusader Strike however they are still for all intents and purposes, an auto attack and weight class. They do get a lot of utility such as self heals, bubbling, layon hands, etc. Season of Discovery did give them quite a few buffs. But as an all-around class, they can be quite boring.
A - Shaman
Shaman is a solid A tier in leveling experience. They have a lot of utility, especially in ghost form along with Druids and Hunters. They're the only ones that get any movement speed. They get their dual wield specialization rune which makes them much more interesting to level than they were in Classic. They can solo most content.
A - Warlock
They have a lot of sustain in Season of Discovery which makes their questing experience even better, such as life tap not being a channel and alongside the pets that make them very strong levelers. They're an A- with things like fear and dots, they're able to tank on large packs. Before Season of Discovery, they were one of the strongest leveling classes.
B - Rogue
Rogues are B tier on our SoD Phase 2 Leveling tier list. They unlocked a lot of kits with Season of Discovery and they've always been quite powerful, especially in 1v1. But with the lack of self-heals and the constant need to eat food which slows down the questing experience that's what moves them down to a B tier.
C - Priest
Priest is a solid C tier of WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 leveling ranking. Priests are very strong in the open world, they're very difficult to kill. Chances are you can solo pretty much any quest or content that you need to but their gameplay is very stale and slow. You will find yourself mostly wanding things to death. While Season of Discovery did add some strong spells such as Penance it's still for the most part wand and AFK.
D - Warrior
It is a bit situational. If Warrior is your first character, you don't have gold to go to the auction house and buy a bunch of gear, they are D tier. If Warrior is your alt, you're able to buy green and even blue weapons for your Warrior to use while leveling, they would most certainly B+ even an A tier class simply because they are so incredibly powerful. If you have the gear, stamina, and strength, you can pull packs of 2-3 mobs your level and cleave the mob down with ease. If at level 10, you're still using level 2-3 weapons, chances are you're going to have a really bad time. That's why they go down to D tier.
If you are leveling an alt, ensure you have the gear for it, and the leveling experience will be significantly better.
