The WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 raid will be Gnomeregan. Gnomeregan has long stood as one of the most ambitious and sprawling 5-man dungeons in vanilla WoW. However, for Phase 2 it will be receiving a complete overhaul as Blizzard transforms it into a true raid instance befitting the next stage of Season of Discovery for Phase 2. This time facing entirely new challenges as they engage with revised boss mechanics and encounters. Next, we're going to talk about all the Classic WoW SoD Phase 2 Gnomeregan raids leaks.

Blizzard has not officially announced release dates for any of the Phase/level band transitions. Based on Blizzard's statements phases will last more than a month but less than 3-4 months. Phase 2 will launch on February 8th, 2024. But the release date for Classic WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2 raids will be delayed by a week or two because that’s how Classic and Retail WoW work to allow more casual players time to reach max level and gear up before people start demanding prior experience/gear for the raids.
Phase 2 is Gnomeregan at level 40 and it's a dungeon that's massive full of flavor and still abandoned in retail leaving the Gnomes as homeless refugees for almost two decades.
Here is what we predict the potential bosses for the Gnomeregan raid in WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 2:
Grubbis - This is the first boss currently encountered in the Gnomeregan dungeon. He likely won't receive much change from his dungeon iteration.
Viscous Fallout - This mob patrols the dungeon and it's possible he could gain additional mechanics as a raid boss.
Electrocutioner 6000 - As a named boss, he may see beefed up abilities and health as a raid boss.
Crowd Pummeler 9-60 - As the toughest trash currently, this mob is a candidate to become a full fledged boss.
Dark Iron Ambassador (Rare) - This rare spawn could emerge as a more prominent named boss.
Mekgineer Thermaplugg - The final boss of Gnomeregan dungeon is a lock for a raid boss rework with new abilities.
Blizzard is keeping the existing Gnomeregan quests intact, but updating and increasing their rewards. While definitive details on rewards are still unknown, the Phase 2 Gnomeregan raid in Season of Discovery Phase 2 is likely to offer the following reward types based on Blizzard's established patterns:
Traditional raid gear drops including weapons, armor and accessories to boost player power.
Updated quest rewards from the existing Gnomeregan questline that will see improved loot.
Unique cosmetic pursuits like mounts, pets, titles or craftable transmog sets for vanity collectors.
Potential for new Runes to be discovered that expand on cross-class abilities for each spec.
Consumable boosts, profession materials, and wealth rewards in the form of WoW SoD gold.
Chances to progress reputation grinds for various factions involved in Gnomeregan.
Just like Blackfathom Deeps, it's a large dungeon that can essentially be broken into different wings and be filled with bosses, events, and quests that just feel natural. Just as Phase 1 had a Season of Discovery Ashenvale PvP event, Phase 2 will have one as well. If you think Phase 2's PvP Zone event should be in Arathi Highlands to tie it into Arathi Basin you'd be wrong. Because WoW Season of Discovery phase 2 PvP event zone is the Stranglethorn Vale. Honestly, it would be funny if they kept PvP Zone events in the zone of the dungeon but how could they turn an alliance leveling zone into a PvP event zone? Stranglethorn Vale itself makes perfect sense as a highly contested PvP Zone and one that should have had a Battleground.
How To Prepare For SoD Phase 2 Raid?
Since the level cap for WoW Classic Phase 2 raid is 25-40, therefore, you will need the level up as well as farm gold to prepare for the release of the Gnomeregan raid.
Leveling Tips
Maximize Rested XP: Make sure you log out in an inn or capital city to gain the Rested XP bonus. This will give you a 100% XP boost for your first 8 hours of playtime after logging in.
Dungeon Grinding: Dungeons are a great way to level quickly, especially if you have a good group. The Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance are popular choices for leveling during Season of Discovery.
Questing: Don't neglect questing! Completing quests provides valuable experience and rewards, and it's a great way to explore the world and learn about the lore. Look for bonus objectives and chains that offer additional XP.
Professions: While not essential for leveling, professions can provide a nice boost in income and utility. Herbalism and Mining are great choices for gathering materials to sell or use for crafting.
Gear: Keep your gear up to date. Wearing higher-level gear will make you more powerful and efficient at killing enemies.
