The hardcore shooter Escape from Tarkov is going to get a new, extensive update - patch 0.12.7. Among other things, this introduces another boss opponent, new quests and enlarges the customs area map.
What's in the new EFT 0.12.7 update? The developers have announced patch 0.12.7 for Escape from Tarkov and will introduce some new features with this update. However, this is not just additional content. There are also gameplay changes that affect gameplay.
5 Important Innovations From Escape from Tarkov 0.12.7 Update
There is a new reporting function which you can use to report suspicious player behavior. This should now make cheaters in Escape from Tarkov even more uncomfortable.
In addition to adjustments to the skills and the introduction of the two Escape from Tarkov weapons FN GL40 grenade throwing and the Mossberg 590A1 shotgun, there are some special changes. We present you the five most important ones:
1 - New Boss
With Sanitar a new boss comes into play. It is a former doctor who can heal himself and his companions on the battlefield.

3 - Enlarged Customs Map
The Map Customs (customs area) is expanded by 30 to 40%. This is to remove a bottle neck. This is the bottleneck at the rail overpass along the street. So far, this has led to some problems. With the larger map and more alternatives, the gameplay should run more smoothly.
4 - Enhanced Enemy AI
The AI opponents Scavs get a revision of the artificial intelligence and can now group and storm towards the player. As a result, they are no longer easy targets for snipers.
They also loot the bodies of fallen comrades and even players. So it is possible that after the death of your character, good equipment in battles will not only be removed from fellow players, but also from scavs.
5 - More HP To Chest Region
With the new patch, the chest area of the players is increased by 5 HP from 80 to 85 HP. That sounds like a minor adjustment, but has a bigger impact on gameplay. With this change, the ammunition types 7.62x51mm M80 and 7.62x54mm LPS Gzh lose the ability to eliminate players with just one hit in the chest.
In addition, when shooting with 5.56x45mm M995 ammunition, you now need three instead of two hits to eliminate players. Of course, other weapons also need more hits for a player to go down.
This means that the battles should be more tactical and exciting after the update 0.12.7. Nobody should rely on a one-hit kill anymore. As a result, some weapons should no longer be so overpowered.
