Last Epoch Season 2 Fast Leveling & Campaign Speedrun Guide (1.2)

4/18/2025 11:23:26 AM

Want to reach level 100 in Season 2 of Last Epoch? This leveling guide provides a complete walkthrough of the Last Epoch 1.2 campaign from Act 1 to Act 7, designed to efficiently level from 1 to 100. The route featured here follows a hardcore, online, deathless run with no gear carried over from previous characters. All idol slots and passive points are collected along the way, resulting in a powerful transition into endgame content without backtracking.

Last Epoch Fastest Leveling & Campaign Speedrun Route in Season 2

This campaign speedrun route balances speed, safety, and power acquisition. All passive and idol quests are completed along the way, avoiding the need to backtrack later. The strategy is particularly suited for hardcore players, but softcore characters benefit equally from the optimized gear and XP routing.

The strategies included are class-agnostic, meaning they apply across all builds and playstyles. According to top players like Lizard, completing the campaign in under 2 hours with all passives and idols collected reflects strong execution. With practice, even faster times are achievable. Offline players may achieve faster times due to persistent shrine effects and faster zone transitions, but the core routing remains the same.

Level 1-5: Getting Started and Building Momentum (Act 1)

The campaign begins in a familiar forest area. Activate a loot filter immediately to highlight key early gear such as silver rings (for movement speed), movement speed boots, and a solid two-handed weapon. Group enemies and use AoE skills to quickly reach level 4 before the first boss.

First Boss Strategy:
If level 4 is not reached in time, rely on healing potions to brute-force through the fight. Stay still, heal when necessary, and push through.

Town Vendor Check:
After the boss, head into town and buy:

  • Silver rings

  • Movement speed boots

  • Ruby amulet (for extra health)

  • A weapon appropriate to your class/build

Aim to leave town by the 4:20 mark or faster for an optimal pace.

Level 5-10: Specialization and Side Quest Efficiency (Act 2)

After reaching level 5, specialize into your main leveling skill. For bow builds, this might be Puncture. Continue routing through shrines and killing elites to maximize experience gain.

Key Strategy:
Take side quests that offer passive points and idol slots immediately. Completing these early ensures higher power throughout the campaign. This includes quests that many speedrunners skip but only take 1–2 extra minutes to finish.

Combat Tip:
Fight bosses from favorable positions. For ranged builds, standing in the southeast corner often avoids incoming damage.

Level 10-18: Dense Zones and Early Bosses (Act 3)

Zoning becomes more complex here. Begin checking for static shrine locations, and look for guaranteed loot spots like the bottom right pike chest, which is ideal for DoT or melee builds.

Boss Fight Tactics:

  • Let NPCs tank when possible.

  • Use teleport portals to skip long walks after boss kills.

  • Save time by interacting with NPCs in efficient order to trigger zone transitions.

Shrines and large enemy groups provide good XP. Keep momentum by avoiding unnecessary backtracking, and always lay a portal before boss fights.

Level 18-25: Dangerous Zones and Defensive Crafting (Acts 3–4)

This is where the campaign’s difficulty spikes. Three zones in this stretch are especially dangerous:

  • The Void Centipede zone

  • The two zones that follow

  • The beam-heavy elite area

Recommended Action:
Pause to craft resistances and health on all gear. This is the best time to invest in survivability. Avoid pulling full rooms of enemies. Move slowly and methodically through these areas.

Zone Mechanics to Watch:

  • Shrines may appear in fixed spots—check edges of maps.

  • Look for elite density for XP boosts, but don’t overcommit.

  • Use portals to turn in quests and return directly to objectives.

Level 25-35: The Most Dangerous Zones (Act 5)

This stretch includes the Void zones, some of the most dangerous in the campaign. Do not rush. Before entering:

  • Craft health and resistance affixes onto all gear

  • Cap physical and void resistance

  • Ensure poison resistance is rising

Shrine knowledge is more valuable here. Know where they spawn and check those locations quickly. If a shrine provides damage or movement speed, it can carry entire zones.

Avoid pulling large groups. Some elites can one-shot players. Use corners to kite and eliminate enemies safely. Never fight a boss and multiple elites at once.

Level 35-45: Surviving the Void and Crafting Upgrades (Act 5)

Act 5 opens with the most dangerous beach zone in the campaign. Every character should pause here and upgrade gear. Focus on:

  • High health

  • Capped physical resistance

  • Poison resistance

  • Tiered armor bases

Enemies apply stacking DoTs and can ambush quickly. If standing still, death is near-instant. Every move should be deliberate. Poison Bomb Boss is simple if executed correctly—stand still during the fight to avoid triggering bombs.

Complete all side quests that grant passives and idol slots. These are efficient and provide major power increases for the next phase.

Level 45–60: Cleanup and Optimization (Act 6)

By now, the build should feel powerful. Gear should be upgraded with good bases and crafted affixes. Continue collecting final passives and idols. Use map teleports to save time:

  • After interacting with a zone objective, teleport to another town, then back to your current zone

  • After the snake boss, skip ahead by teleporting directly to Rust Lands in the Imperial Era

Zone layouts become longer and more linear. Kill elites and grab shrines for XP bursts. If under-leveled, consider clearing high-density zones or shrine-boosted elite packs.

Level 60–70: Final Bosses and Campaign Completion (Act 7)

This stretch focuses on wrapping up the campaign and stabilizing the build for Monoliths. Bosses like Wengari Twins and the Tree Boss hit hard—positioning and damage uptime matter.

Key tips:

  • Wengari fights: Clear surrounding mobs first, and avoid fighting both bosses at once if possible.

  • Tree Boss: Respect the avalanche mechanic. Stay mobile and ranged if squishy.

Before exiting the campaign:

  • Confirm all 15 passive points and 8 idol slots are acquired

  • Finalize gear with capped resistances (cold becomes important here)

  • Use a shrine or elite pack for a final burst to level 70 if under-leveled

Level 70–85: Early Monolith Progression

Now in the Monoliths, begin clearing lower corruption timelines. The build should now feel stable, with enough passive points and idol slots to support high damage and survivability.

Focus on:

  • Completing Blessing timelines

  • Acquiring base gear upgrades for late-game crafting

  • Building LP (Legendary Potential) gear if applicable

Avoid pushing corruption too quickly. Use this phase to farm key gear for scaling.

Level 85–95: Target Farming and Scaling

At this stage, the character should be well-equipped to handle medium corruption Monoliths. Begin targeting:

  • Exalted bases

  • Specific blessings

  • Affix shards to craft endgame gear

Tuning resistances and defenses becomes more important here. Consider adjusting gear to match the modifiers of each Monolith zone.

Level 95–100: Peak Progression and Final Push

This final stretch is where XP gains slow down. Focus on:

  • High-density zones with strong XP modifiers

  • Shrine farming for movement speed and damage

  • Efficient mob clearing over boss farming for XP

Avoid dying at this stage, especially in hardcore. Death here is time-consuming and demoralizing. Push only if the build can handle the modifiers confidently.

By level 100, the character should have:

  • Full passive tree filled

  • Maxed idol layout

  • Optimized gear for corruption pushing or arena content
