Dragonflight 10.1 PvP & PvE Class Changes
In Embers of Neltharion, Blizzard opted to raise both player and opponent stamina by 25%. This is similar to a change made just before Dragonflight was released, and for the same reasons.
The only way to threaten players when damage mitigation skills and healing are too great compared to player health is to make opponent damage excessively high and spikey. When mana isn't an issue and healers can swiftly replenish their allies, the difficulty becomes tuning foes to provide enough burst damage to kill players before they can respond. Playing like that isn't fun at all. When a player's health is raised, they have more time to respond to danger and their decisions about cooldown and mana management become more important.
Healing spells based on percentages and hybrid healing items/enchantments will also be updated to reflect this change.
Damage dealers and tanks' self-healing and absorb shield spells have been enhanced by a proportionate amount, so that they keep their effectiveness whether playing alone or providing group assistance. Player stamina has also been raised by 25%.
