In this guide, we're going to talk about gear in the first couple weeks, this is going to be our attempt to make a somewhat comprehensive list of all the gear, that's item level like 360 plus that you can be collecting in the first couple of weeks here.

Best Gearing (Scaling & Non-Scaling Gear) Guide - Fast Ways To Get 370+ ILvl in Dragonflight
There are two different types of gear that are available right now: rewards that DON'T Scale with your ILevel and rewards that DO Scale with your ILevel.
There are rewards that scale with your item level which is your character's in-bag item level, it's 366 on this on this character or there's also gear that doesn't scale off of that, now some characters sometimes have a higher item level than they should when you look at their in-bag item level, this character before has shown as high as 380 on this before you see the PVP item almost 381.
But even sometimes the non-PvP item level has shown to be higher which means that sometimes those item level scaling rewards have been inflated for some people at different times, that is a bug, it's unclear if or when it'll get fixed, but it is worth noting that exists, so worth noting again, almost all this stuff not a big deal all of this gear is going to get easily replaced by Mythic plus 7 gear if you can farm that in a couple weeks time, you'll be able to upgrade whether you're coming out of these few weeks at item level 360, 380, it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things, but if you care about where your character's gear is at for making those first couple of days of M plus a little bit easier the first couple days of normal and heroic grade a little bit easier than this is the guide for you.
Rewards that DON'T Scale with Your Item level
Let's start by talking about the non-item level scaling gear sources, because it makes sense in theory, to do as many of these as possible before then going to the sources that do scale with your item level, those are all non-scaling sources of item level rewards that you can go and get.
Mythic Dungeons
The first one of these is Mythic dungeons, Mythic dungeons drop item level 372 gear, and you can do them each once per week, so good source of gear collecting that doing them in an armor stack is in theory good as well if you can do it with people that share your armor type because the same personal loot trading rules apply as did last expansion in dungeons, they don't enrage in raid it's a group loot world now, but an M zeros and an M plus, it is still personal loot where you're able to trade items that drop for you in a slot that you've already got that item leveler higher, so that's one source of gear.
Crafted Gear
There's also crafted gear, so crafted gear, there's a couple of different flavors of crafted gear, there's crafted gear that requires a spark of Ingenuity that you can get at item mobile that's fairly High currently, but the problem is that the spark of Ingenuity crafted pieces are the same pieces that you'll be able to use to get a Mythic item level crafted pieces, spark of Ingenuity plus an optional reagent that is from killing Mythic bosses or plus 16 or higher dungeons is how you get the Mythic crafted pieces, so if you use one of your Sparks of Ingenuity on those pieces, you will be locked into, you can actually recraft it later with the concentrated Primal Focus that you get from Mythic content, so you will be able to raise the item level of whatever piece you make with a spark of Ingenuity if you do it early, but it will be locked into being in that slot, and it may not be the piece that you're looking for long term, so that might be something to hold off on is using your Sparks of Ingenuity, the spark of Ingenuity comes from this Dragonflight one out of 10 9 Campaign which you do need to complete the Thaldraszus Zone currently, the campaign for the Thaldraszus Zone before you can do this we believe which means that on alt characters that are interested in getting Sparks of Ingenuity, leveling through doing at least the South Padres Zone campaign is a good thing to do, because you're going to need it anyways for that part, so you also will want your Thaldraszus Zone campaign to be done for another reason that we'll talk about later too, so spark of engineering crafted gear something to potentially stay away from in these early weeks, but there's other crafted gear that you can make high item level if you drop a Titan training Matrix 4 from your M zeros or even potentially the Titan training Matrix 3 from your heroic dungeons that will let you get gear as high as 369 if it's been well crafted from heroic or 382 if it's well crafted from Mythic the item level will vary by 10 item levels depending on the quality of the craft which means there's some value in finding somebody who is specialized in crafting whatever it is you want, but you don't have to craft your own item here you can use somebody else's crafting using the work order system, it is a fairly complicated system, but once you kind of get the hang of it it is very powerful to be able to get yourself gear crafted as if you have basically any profession in the game although it's really nice to keep it kind of within your guild Network.
War Mode Gear
Another source of gear is war mode, War mode pretty phenomenal, it gives you two extra World quests per day, it's just a gold reward, this rewards a rep reward, but sometimes you can see gear rewards, and sometimes you can get bloody coin Rewards or bloody tokens, now bloody tokens are a currency that you can get a whole lot of, we've gotten like 500 from A world quest and then we've just been collecting 200 a day from looting a war supply Crate that drops in the zone, they drop all the time and with war mode on, you just go there if there's people the other faction, and it's an even fight you can fight it out for it, if there's too many of them, just run away, let them have that one get another one later at some point, you can get yourself quite a lot of these bloody tokens, the bloody tokens are used at Valdrakken, there is a vendor that is in here, in this area the PVP vendor that will let you trade them for the this you can get 366 gear in almost every slot including weapons, bracers cost as little as 200 tokens, weapons two-handers will cost you like 800 tokens, and this gear is 366, increases to 408 and Arenas and Battlegrounds, so if you're going to do PVP, this is a great way to get yourself head started into that, but also there's a nice set bonus here, 105 versatility on the two set, so a pretty nifty piece of gear and you can use this to fill out whatever slots are low item level for you and that will help raise your bag item level which will then help the scaling sources of item level.
Cobalt Assembly Ring
There's also the Cobalt Assembly Ring, Cobalt Assembly Ring is quite good, so you can get this thing called Cobalt reputation once you get to two out of five rep that increases your rep gain with Cobalt assembly by 30, you need to do this by talking to Zavin in the Cobalt assembly like Hub, so do that as soon as you get to low rep get the Cobalt reputation thing get out you can get all these other Buffs as well to make it a little bit easier to grind in the area uh but then yeah you can get yourself the Rings which actually don't show up on the they don't show up on this list of rewards there, but they do show up on the vendor although you might actually need to get to Reg 4 before they show up on the vendor or they might have fixed that apparently that was a bug early on, so a couple assembly ring, it's 389 which means in theory doing this before m0, so you could trade Rings is potentially valuable especially if you want to trade 372 rings, but obviously 372 ring good for you too, so uh maybe not super important for that, but it's 389 so it's high item level, so it bumps the rewards nicely of other content they do have a little less stats on them, but they have a proc and in some cases that proc has been doing pretty well especially the tank one.
Ring of Blood Questline
There's also the Ring of blood, over here on the side of Maruukai, there's the Ring of blood, makes its return this expansion, it's just a like six elite quests in a row that end with giving you a weapon, we believe that weapon's like 346 or something, but really nice way to get yourself a nice early weapon if you're sitting on a 280 weapon or something coming into this expansion, you get yourself one of those by doing the Ring of blood Quest over there, it's also worth noting that the Ring of blood is one of many side quests that unlocks A world quest that can show up there, once you've done the Ring of blood side quests you will see then ring of blood World quest showing up there, so there are a lot of side quests like this that will then lead into unlocking A world quest that is based on the same thing, it is worth doing that therefore side quest if you really care about having all the world quests possible, getting all the rep possible, doing those side quests will unlock that for you.
Renown Rewards
There are also renowned rewards, Renown does reward fairly, we've been able to get to 376 boots from the Maverick Centaur reputation, and crucially if you stick with it over these for these couple weeks you can get to stuff like 289 helmets from Valdrakken 22, but that is another source of potential gear if you are looking for it especially if you're somebody who is on a character that is intending to do very little dungeon raid content than the renowned gear, may be quite good for you for quite a long time.
Rewards that DO Scale with Your Item Level
World Quests
There are scaling item level rewards scaling item level rewards include World quests, just World quest signal rewards, we guess this character doesn't have any up, but when A world quest rewards an item, it will scale with your item level, so you can see World quests that have like 340 here if you're low item level, and then when you get to when your character gets to like 360 item mobile gear, then those same world quests will be rewarding 360 animal gear or or potentially higher, so that can be a good thing to do the weekly or the world quests, generally reset either weekly or bi-weekly which means they reset halfway through the weekly reset, there are however two categories of world quests that reset daily, one of those is the war mode World quest, those reset every day, there will be two of them, we think on the map and they reset daily, and can have good Rewards or can have pretty garbage rewards like these ones do, and then of course, the pet battle World quest also on a daily reset, so if you need that pet battle, training Stone and the 25 rep that that Quest gives you, then make sure you do those every single day.
Trial of Flood and Trial of Elements
First clear of the week of Dragonbane Keep, Tuskarr Feast, and Maruuk Hunt. Aiding the Accord weekly quest.
There are a couple of events and quests that can only be done weekly that guarantee a piece of loot which also scales with your item level:
-Siege of Dragonscale Keep
-Tuskarr Community Feast
-Grand Hunts
-Trial of Flood and Trial of Elements
-Aiding the Accord
The cap on these seems to be significantly higher than 378, with unconfirmed reports 382 weapons and even over 400 item level, as these are weekly and also scale with item level. We’d recommend doing these at the end of week once you’ve exhausted non-scaling rewards (Mythic dungeons) and also gotten more gear from daily rare killing.
Dragonflight Rare Farming
If you don't want them in max if you want to just fly around New Dragon riding races, do that kind of stuff also totally fine, if you want to do both that's what we do.
