With the Fresh Start Server going live in New World, here are the top three builds you should definitely be running when trying to get from Level 1 to Level 60 as fast as possible.
Hatchet is so good when it's paired with a couple of different equipment and skills, you can actually go to the Hatchet grain ax or Hatchet life staff, even the Hatchet bow. Hatchet Great Axe is a very strong build probably the best for Fresh Starts right for PVE at the very least, it's going to give you the most mobility, and give you a ton of damage.
Primary Weapon: Hatchet (Skills)
Berserk
Berserk is going to give you that movement speed and increased damage. When you take the on the hunt while berserk is active, your movement speed is increased by 20%, so you're going to want to take all the different berserk perks
Feral Rush & Raging Torrent
Active the Feral Rush if you want to get in a nice little leap with some damage, and the biggest PVE damage of all time is going to be the Raging Torrent with 4 fast attacks.
Defy Death
What makes Hatchet so good as well as the passive skill Defy Death. When you receive that lethal damage you avoid death and you're reduced to 50 health or not 50 but 50 health and gain that immortality for 3 seconds. So for 3 seconds after you take damage that would typically kill you, you are invulnerable basically which is insanely strong for not just PVP but also PVE and that's why Hatchet is going to be the number one weapon when it comes to the best weapons to start to get from 1 to 60 in New World.
Secondary Weapon: Great Axe (Skills)
The Great Axe is a great one to pair with Hatchet because you will be able to take a couple of different skills that will help you out.
Reap
You have a reap if you really want reap you can actually pull enemies closer to you which is going to allow you to group up enemies much easier.
Charge
You can also take charge which is going to be the mobility factor when it comes to the Great Axe, it's going to charge 10 meters and deal 120% weapon damage when you reach a target. So Mobility is key here so the charge and the hatchet together are going to be the huge speed with the berserk.
Blood Lust
You move 20% faster and deal 15% more damage when looking at a foe within 14 meters. So again mobility is just King with the Great Axe Hatchet, nobody can catch you if you're PVP flagged and you don't want to fight them because they're in a group of five or something, and then they also can't really do anything to you if you are on top of them, they can't get away because this is an in really the best probably catch build in the game.
With all of these clumps of people playing in the Fresh Starts, leveling at the very second that it releases, it's going to be hard to get some of these Quest mobs as soon as they spawn, definitely, if they didn't buff up the respawn rates insanely high, so Blunderbuss going to be a great one to have. A lot of people have started playing the Greatsword and there are reasons as to why, it's the highest DPS and the newest weapon in the game, so there's a lot of hype over it.
Primary Weapon: Blunderbuss (Skills)
Net Shot
Net Shot will help you kite a little bit, it is probably one of the strongest abilities when it comes to PVP as well. By firing a large net out of the blunderbuss to deal 70% weapon damage and slow targets by 40% for 3s.
Azoth Shrapnel Blast
Fire 5 shots (each one with 50% weapon damage) in a horizontal fan in front of you while pushing yourself backwards. This not only allows you to attack enemies in a large area at the same time but also push yourself out of the attacked range.
Claw Shot
From the muzzle, fire a four-pronged claw on a chain in front of you. The projectile can carry you up to 14 meters and can only lift you 3 meters. If it makes a connection with an enemy, it will quickly drag you toward them while doing 40% weapon damage and inflicting root for a second.
Secondary Weapon: Greatsword Skills
Crosscut
Crosscut does insane damage in PVE, you're going to be able to hit all of your crosscuts abilities because you should be able to hit all PvE mobs there.
Relentless Rush
Then you have a Relentless Rush for getting out of the situation - where you need to get the heck out, you can use you Relentless Rush, it's going to be
great for that specifically.
Calamity Counter
If you get over your head, you can just use Calamity counter and just sit there with your stamina bar and then do a lot of extra damage both out taking any damage.
This is probably not the best of the best when it comes to speed, but the bow does have a few different ways to kind of benefit from using it, so if you're surrounded by three or more foes, you do gain 20 haste there's also a couple others as well.
Primary Weapon: Bow Skills
Evade Shot
The skill on the Skirmisher side allows you to leap back 5m and shoot an arrow dealing 125% weapon damage to your targets, which is great for skilling foes in the group!
Penetrating Shot
With this skill, you can shoot an arrow in 100m range and pass through targets, then deal 150% weapon damage.
Explosive Arrow
Fire an arrow that deals 50% weapon damage on hit, then explodes on impact dealing an additional 135% damage to all targets within a 2.5m radius.
Dodge and Weave
With Dodge and Weave, after you dodge, you gain 10% Haze for 2 seconds
Archer's Speed
There are a few more movement speed ones that you can look into, so Archer speed gained 10 haste for five seconds when you swapped your boat. These are all movement speed abilities that work really well with the bow.
Secondary Weapon: Spear Skill
Javelin
You can go the Javelin which is going to be a great way to throw your spear and make sure you're tagging enemies, but again you're going to be able to use that ability once every couple of seconds or so and it's going to be much better to just have a bow or musket to tag those from far away.
Skewer
With this Impaler skill, you can rush forward and kewer your target to deal 125% weapon damage and apply bleed to deal 20% extra weapon damage every 1s for 10s. This is great for killing quest bosses or single powerful mobs during leveling.
Perforate
This is a 3-stack skill that executes 3 quick piercing strikes, each one dealing 8% weapon damage and applying the debuff Rend reducing the target's damage absorption by 5% for 10s. This is very effective to deal with a group of foes for leveling up.
