We wanted to examine the top 5 Ascendancies in Kalandra League and see if there is any shake up in the meta in POE. Anticipate Necromancer being lower due to the minion rework (NERF), Trickster might be in the top 5 after a slam dunk rework.
#5: Elementalist
-Elementalist returns into the Top 5.
-Has 3 main builds: Lightning Conduit, Explosive Arrow, and Ignite Vortex
Elementalist is a pretty diverse ascendancy and we do think the main reason why it's so high is that it is home to two of the most popular league starters, lightning conduit, and an explosive arrow. There are three main builds, there're a lightning conduit, explosive arrow, and ignite vortex.
-5% are playing Ward Loop with Volatile Dead
So five percent are actually playing Ward Loop with Volatile Dead, we have war loop and volatile, and war loop is actually kind of popular, this league still we think a lot of people just like the play style wars loop where you run around, you don't need to worry about anything and everything just dies around you.
-4% of people are playing Maw of Mischief Ignite
Four percent of people are playing Maw Mischief Ignite as in the past, this was the build we expected to be the most popular, however, it never really quite reached that overpowered stage, because a lot of people didn't really care enough about the boss, but you can see here involved mischief, now this ascendancy is pretty diverse it really focuses on ignite or inflicting ailments, lightning conduit people play Elementalist so they can get 65 shocks even on the tankiest uber bosses, explosive arrow you play it because all your damage can ignite vortex the same way, and mall mischief ignite is the same way.
-Very Diverse Ascendancy with many extremely strong builds capable of bossing.
#4: Deadeye
Deadeye is so good we have 2 Deadeye this league, main 3 builds include: Tornado Shot, Venom Gyre, and Kinetic Blast. All builds revolve around benefitting from Projectile Chaining and additional projectiles. Small percentage of players playing lightning arrow and CoC Ice Spear w/Tornado Shot, home of the magic finders.
#3: Ascendant
2 main builds: Ward Loop and Aura Bot, wide variety of builds able to be played on Ascendant, ranging from Dex Stacking Venom Gyre to CB/KF to Int Stacker, shocked to see so many people still playing Ward Loop after a huge damage nerf.
#2: Occultist
The cold and chaos Ascendancy dominates due to the popularity of CoC and BV, top 3 builds: CoC FR, Cold/Poison BV, and Caustic Arrow Death’s Oath. Lots of players are also playing Poison Phantasmal Spark and CoC Ice Spear.
#1: Inquisitor
Completely Dominated by Righteous Fire/Fire Trap at 54%, top 3 builds: RF, Eye of Winter, CoC Ice Spear, very diverse ascendancy with a wide variety of builds due to it being OP, regen with Pious Path is completely game-changing, allowing many spell builds to run RF for a more damage multiplier, the rich person ascendancy: 56% of players own an Aegis Aurora.
Final Thoughts
Surprising to see Champion not in top 5 due to the popularity of Champion Lightning Strike, Trickster is in a distant 8 th due to ascendancy not offering enough offensive power, Necromancer is in 10 th place with Summon Carrion Golem and SRS being the most popular minion skills, Berserker is out of sight w/3% representation with Venom Gyre being more popular than Lightning Strike.
