LA Roadmap for April and May Detailed Information: Everything you need to know about Glaivier & Destroyer & New Raids

LA has finally released a short roadmap. This guide will discuss this new roadmap and what it means for the game and gold! Take a look into the contents of April and May as we share a roadmap of what’s to come. There's a lot of good stuff to unpack here, so let's get started.

April - Glaivier &South Vern

There are two highlights for April, being the new Glaivier Class and the new South Vern Region.

New Advanced Class - Glaivier

The Glaivier has two distinct skill sets which can be swapped between— Focus and Flurry— with each stance and skill set represented by one of her two weapons. The shorter spear is used to unleash a furious barrage in the Flurry stance, while the longer glaive harnesses Focus stance for gracefully lethal strikes and sweeping attacks. While certain builds may focus your attention onto one of these weapons, an effective Glaivier can maximize their potential by creating balance between the two stances, building up energy in one stance which grants an impactful stat-boost when swapping to the other.

This is the meta build except for the raid captain, it's now updated for increased mass so she'll be the fifth Martial Artist Advanced Class, you guys already know Wardancer, Soulfist, Striker, and Scrapper, they are just in general have higher EHP just like the warriors.

South Vern

South Vern release date

The South Vern continent will be introduced to the game later this April, according to the game’s roadmap.

Most players are expecting to see it join the game alongside the next major patch to hit live servers, and if the schedule follows the March updates, it could be set for mid-April. In that case, South Vern would be released on April 14. But the developer has yet to confirm this date.

When the region is introduced, players who have completed Punika’s story quests will see a new blue quest appear in their journal, notifying them that the region can be entered.

Why is South Vern the continent with the highest item level in the game?

With this continent immediately following Punika at item Level 1340, it refers to the middle of the current Tier Three item levels, with an average of +10 honed gear from that Tier. this will offer you a whole new set of Chaos Dungeons that are sure to be more rewarding and helpful to progression. This will help you get to 1370 sooner so you can begin raiding in Tier 3.

Completing the main story quests from this region will likely reward the players with more honing gear, similar to the previous story quests. It will also open a new Adventurer’s Tome to complete, three dungeons, one world boss, and much more.

In the Korean version, you can’t simply sail directly to South Vern to begin the story quest. But it will begin in North Vern’s Vern Castle instead, where you’ll speak to an NPC that will begin the process. You’ll have to do a bit of running around before accessing the story part of South Vern. It’s unclear if the Western version will follow the same process, but you should check your quest journal before trying to sail there and possibly waste your time and silver.

If it's similar to the Korean version, South Vern's main story will take about five hours to complete. Then you will have various purple quests to clear and then it is done.

Upon completion, the main quest will open up a new route to make navigation easier: players will be able to teleport from South Vern to North Vern and vice versa. It will provide a new way to get from the western part of the map to the eastern part without having to cross the dangerous barrier that separates these two parts of the sea.

May – Destroyer & Trial Guardian Raids

There are two highlights for May, being the new Destroyer advanced class and trial guardian raids.

New Advanced Class – Destroyer

Destroyers armed with a variety of skills centered around charging into the heart of the fray, their hammer attacks are so catastrophically crushing that Destroyers can bend gravity to their will— slowing, launching, pushing, and pulling enemies— whatever it takes to utterly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, destroy them. It's now updated for increased mass so he'll be the fourth Warrior Advanced Class, you guys already know Berserker, Paladin, and Gunlancer.

Trial Guardian Raids

The Trial Guardian Raid will add a new weekly event for players looking for a challenge. Each week, players can attempt to defeat three Trial Guardians.  They rotate and they're gonna have their own required item level to enter each week, one guardian will rotate out replaced by a different foe, Korea has the same thing differing from a normal guardian rate trial, Trial Guardian Raids will apply  "Scale of Harmony", basically lowering your item level and squashing it down 40 appropriate contents for the appropriate guardian, additionally, players cannot use the battle workshop in the raid region so there's not going to be that little circle that you have when you start a guardian a normal typical guardian raid, you have the little circle where you can change your battle items in this one, you don't all right however with increased challenge comes increased rewards aka more mats being pumped in the things we've been asking for like the challenge abyss no words no mentions about that just yet but we got one of them the Trial Guardian Raids.

General Updates of Trial Guardian Raids

May will also introduce a bunch of quality of life changes, including :

1. The ability to check daily & weekly content participation in a new menu.

2. UI updates.

3. Improved party finder & party invites.

4. Updated loot dismantling.

5. Convenience features for Market/Auction House.

6. A few fun features, like being able to randomly summon favorite mounts and new hairstyles for customization.

May – Tentative

These are also possible addition slated for May, but will largely depend on if a good portion of the community is near or above Item Level 1415, as that is the minimum requirement for these activities.

New Guardian Raid – Deskaluda

Guardians are powerful entities that can tip the scales toward good or evil. A new Guardian will arise and must be vanquished before they usher in an age of darkness.

Our Tips for you:

Deskaluda is a Tier 3 Raid Level 6 Guardian with an item level requirement of 1415 and a quick and easy source of Great Honor Leapstones. It has high mobility and huge Area of Effect(AOE) skills. On top of that, the Guardian has Stagger, Weak Point, and Counter checks. This is the first Guardian rewarding the player with Relic grade accessories.

This may not be the case immediately here in the West, but once players get used to its attacks, it should end up being a fairly easy Guardian to take down if the jump to Armored Nacresena was anything to go by.

Legion Raid – Valtan (Normal & Hard)

Valtan is the first Legion Commander we have to face in EU/NA. Normal mode requires 1415 item level and hard mode requires 1445 item level to enter. Besides the usual Tier 3 materials, he also drops an item that is required to craft the Relic grad Legion Raid set. These sets are usually powerful enough to even change class builds after unlocking certain set bonuses.

Important Information:

1. Most new players are unaware that the current Tier 3.2 Legendary gear, crafted with materials from hard mode Punika Abyssal Dungeon or Argos Raid, belongs to the same Tier as the Valtan Relic set. This means, your enhancements of the Legendary Tier 3.2 gear can be transferred 1:1 over to the Relic set.

2. The benefit of transferring the enhancements over to the Relic sets are Better set effects, higher stats, and the ability to enhance the gear up to +25.

3. A honing rate buff for Tier 3.2 shouldn't be expected any time soon and won't make sense either. The normal and hard mode of the next 3 Legion Raid commanders can be unlocked by upgrading the Tier 3.2 Valtan Relic gear.
