Fendzon is now probably the second-best melee character behind the zealer. This Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 new build has been greatly improved and that is large because of the massive 100% increase is has been added to the skill fend. So pairing that with good damage and not being locked out by the evade animations which used to be a previous issue with this build is now a lot more viable. The combination of jab and fend makes this a very powerful character if you use good Diablo 2 runewords. This new D2R 2.4 Amazon upwards of about 12k damage. Also, the best weapon choice is not grief with this build.

Skill Tree Distribution

For the javelin spear skill tree, put 20 hardpoints into jab and then 20 airpoints to fend. Fend is an interesting skill that attacks all adjacent targets until the maximum level is reached so that's the maximum amount of strikes. But if you go to use it on a single target it's not like zeal where zeal will strike five times at a single target. Fend will only strike once at a single target. That's why you put 20 hard points at a jab.

For the passive magic skill tree, put 20 airpoints into the critical strike and then 20 points to penetrate. The next thing to do is put 1 point into the dodge, avoid and evade animations. Those skills don't lock you out like they used to which is a big improvement. Then put 20 air points into valkyrie and whatever had leftover.

We using a very high end setup for this D2R 2.4 PTR build. However, there are definitely some more budget D2R items if you had an ethereal ethon sedan you put three shell rings in it, and then you ran g face, duress, string of ears, raven frost, a dual leach ring, and more. That's all kind of standard melee stuff that is not too expensive and it will perform very well in the future.

The coolest thing about this build is it's not centered around grief, you need to use a spear weapon for the spearzon. So you are using the breath of dying in a matriarchal pike to get additional javelin and spear skills. Breath of dying provides both enhanced damage and dual leech.
