D2R PTR Assassin Build - Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 Fire Trapsin Build
Now let’s get into the breakdown of the D2R 2.4 Patch PTR Fire Trap Assassin (Trapsin) build by Sweet Phil, mainly covering the attributes, skills, and gears.
1. Fire Trapsin Build Attributes/Stats
Similar to most D2R builds, strength, and vitality are the focus and there is almost no need for energy.
- Strength: 137
- Dexterity: 105
- Vitality: 329
- Energy: 27
2. Fire Trapsin Build Skill Tree & Point Distribution
About the skill point distribution, most going to go in the Traps. There is nothing in Martial Arts, then for the Shadow Disciplines, put one on the Clay Mastery, Weapon Block, and Burst of Speed, this is absolutely mandatory on an Assassin. You need extra increased attack speed delay traps because traps are not on faster cast rate, the faster you can attack, you're going to lay down traps faster, and Burst of Speed gives you +45% attack speed and also will allow you to run faster as well, some people may want to put one into Fade, but you can't have Fade and Burst of Speed on at the same time. Next, we're coming over to the Traps skill tree where most of your points are going. Max out Fire Blast, Wake of Fire, Wake of Inferno, and Death Sentry. The main ones that you use in this build are Wake of Inferno and Wake of Fire, but with Death Sentry, you will have a little bit of lightning damage to deal with anything that may be a fire immune.
- Martial Arts: nothing
- Shadow Disciplines: Claw Mastery - 1 point, Weapon Block - 1 point, Burst of Speed - 1 point, Fade - 1 point
- Traps: Fire Blast - 20 points, Wake of Fire - 20 points, Wake of Inferno - 20 points, Death Sentry - 20 points
3. Fire Trapsin Build Gear
This D2R PTR Assassin build comes with budget gear, it isn't necessarily the most expensive or not necessarily the most important to showcase in this build, but more of showing what the Fire Trapsin can do in 2.4 PTR. A Jade Talon is used here for the hit recovery and a bunch of all resistance, the Shako is probably the most expensive D2R item for sale among these gears. The Highlord’s Wrath gives us the one to all skills and also increased attack speed. Duriel’s Shell provides all resistances and Cannot Be Frozen, which is important to have on a Trapsin. If you're throwing your traps when you're frozen, it's super annoying, so you cannot be frozen on that one. Magefist gives you one to all fire skills, that will help out your Fire Traps.
- Weapon:
(Greater Talons)
- Sword: Jade Talon (Wrist Sword)
- Helm:
(Shako)
- Amulet: Highlord’s Wrath
- Armor: Duriel’s Shell (Cuirass)
- Gloves:
(Light Gauntlets)
- Ring: Bul-Kathos's Wedding Band, The Stone of Jordan
- Belt:
(Demonhide Sash)
- Boots:
(Scarabshell Boots)
- Charm: Entrapping Grand Charm of Sustenance
