11/4/2024 10:57:52 AM

Welcome, Exiles! In today's guide, we'll be walking you through the best Atlas and map strategies for the Necro Settlers event in the Path of Exile 3.25 endgame. This event is packed with exciting opportunities, from farming valuable currency to progressing through the Atlas efficiently, and this guide will help you maximize your loot and progression.

PoE 3.25 Necro Settlers 2.0 Best Atlas & Mapping Strategies

The Settlers of Kalguur event is set to begin on November 7, 2024. In this event, you'll encounter modifiers from the Necropolis League, which include positive benefits like increased pack size, additional currency drops (Chaos Orbs, Regal Orbs, etc.), and more. Importantly, the negative modifiers from Necropolis, known as "Haunted Modifiers," will not appear, making this an even more rewarding experience.

Expect to see modifiers that increase pack size, Rarity, and Quantity of items, which are crucial for farming various currencies, including Divine Orbs and other "bubblegum" currencies such as Glassblower's Baubles and Gemcutter's Prisms. So here we outlines an optimized progression method, aiming to unlock the Atlas swiftly while generating early currency, power leveling, and setting up for long-term success.

PoE 3.25 Best Atlas Passive Trees for Necro Settlers Event

Your Atlas passive tree is vital for maximizing map drops, currency, and other rewards. Here's a breakdown of the atlas passive strategies we'll be using for this event:

Strategy 1 - Best Start Atlas Progression for Necro Settlers Event

First things first, the goal of this strategy is to unlock the Atlas and complete bonus objectives within 2-3 days of the league start. This progression method ensures that currency generation begins early, allowing for quick gear upgrades and a solid footing in the league.

Many players using this strategy have fully unlocked their Atlas by Day 2 and completed all bonus objectives by Day 3 in previous leagues. This structured approach guarantees fast map progression and currency acquisition, ideal for both new and experienced players.

Why Blight, Ritual, and Delirium?

Blight is a key mechanic for fast leveling and currency generation. It provides significant experience gains through both regular maps and blighted maps. These maps are highly valuable on the early trade market, but the primary focus here is leveling efficiency. By utilizing Blight, players can reach high levels (e.g., 94) by Day 2, thanks to the large amount of experience earned during encounters.

Ritual encounters are another excellent choice for early progression. They offer the potential to find expensive items, including synthesis items, fracture items, and valuable currency. With the addition of Omens in this league, such as the Omen of Connection (for six-linking items) and Omen of the Jeweler’s, Ritual becomes even more profitable.

Delirium is selected for its high chance of dropping cluster jewels. Crafting cluster jewels early in the league can be extremely lucrative, and even new players can follow a simple crafting method to make significant profits. This strategy provides a reliable source of currency, especially through the crafting and selling of large cluster jewels.

Atlas Skill Tree Progression

The order in which Atlas passive points are allocated is critical for efficient progression. Many new players make the mistake of rushing to content like Blight or Ritual without first establishing a solid foundation. The following steps outline the optimal progression path:

Step 1- Strongboxes

Begin by allocating points to Strongboxes. For just three points, this ensures that every map contains an additional strongbox, providing extra loot early on. This boost in loot is particularly valuable in white and yellow maps, giving players a steady source of currency through strongbox rewards.

Step 2 - Kirac Missions and Map Drops

Next, focus on Kirac missions and higher map tier chance nodes. Kirac missions are essential for acquiring higher-tier maps, and they should be stockpiled for red maps. The higher map tier chance nodes ensure that appropriate tier maps drop more frequently, accelerating Atlas progression.

Step 3 - Unwavering Vision (20 Bonus Points)

Once the Atlas foundation is set, prioritize the Unwavering Vision keystone, which grants 20 additional passive points. This significant boost allows for rapid expansion into more content and faster access to desired mechanics like Blight, Ritual, and Delirium.

Step 4 - Blight Setup

After setting up the base, shift focus to Blight nodes. With Blight being critical for fast experience gain and currency generation, it’s important to allocate points to ensure a 100% chance for Blight encounters in maps. Additionally, nodes that reduce tower construction costs and increase Blight chest rewards should be taken to maximize the efficiency and profitability of Blight encounters.

Step 5 - Ritual Setup

Once the Blight setup is complete, allocate points into Ritual encounters. Ritual nodes guarantee four altars per map and increase the chance of finding valuable rewards. These altars not only provide additional loot but also offer experience, making them a valuable tool for both progression and currency generation.

Step 6 - Delirium Setup

Finally, move into Delirium to increase the chance of encountering Delirium mirrors in maps. Delirium is crucial for farming cluster jewels, which can be crafted and sold for significant profit. By focusing on Delirium early, players can start crafting valuable cluster jewels and secure a steady income throughout the league.

Strategy 2 - Best Endgame Atlas Progression for Necro Settlers Event

Now we share a highly effective Atlas passive tree strategy, focused on map sustain, shrine power, and Betrayal farming for significant loot gains.

PoE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur Event Best Atlas Passive Tree for Endgame

Step 1: Early Atlas Strategy

The initial phase of the strategy focuses on rapid map progression and sustaining map drops. The approach here is to rush for key passive points that boost map drop rates and Kirac mission availability, ensuring a smooth Atlas unlock and a consistent map pool.

1. Unwavering Vision & Bonus Points

The first priority is rushing to the Unwavering Vision keystone. This node grants 20 additional Atlas skill points, which can then be allocated to nodes that enhance map sustain across the entire Atlas. Specifically, these points are spent on map drop nodes found on the left, right, and middle sections of the Atlas passive tree. This ensures a steady supply of maps as progression continues.

2. Commissioned Officer for Kirac Missions

After securing Unwavering Vision, the next step is to grab Commissioned Officer, a node that provides a 6% increased chance for Kirac missions upon map completion. Kirac missions are crucial for accessing higher-tier maps and ensuring that progression through the Atlas is not bottlenecked by map scarcity.

3. Connected Map Drop Nodes

Following the Kirac mission nodes, the next focus is on the small passive nodes that increase the chance for monsters in maps to drop connected maps. These nodes together provide up to a 60% chance for one additional connected map to drop from a monster in every map. This dramatically increases map sustain, ensuring no shortage of maps as players progress through the Atlas.

Step 2: Mid-Atlas Strategy – Shrine Power and Map Drops

As the progression shifts into yellow and early red maps, survivability and efficiency become the focus. Shrines are a powerful addition to many mapping strategies, offering significant boosts to both offense and defense.

1. Shrine Nodes for Buffs and Survivability

In addition to the map nodes, shrine nodes from the bottom, middle, and top sections of the tree are prioritized. Shrines provide a range of powerful buffs that are especially useful when venturing into higher-tier maps, where enemy damage and health become more threatening. The extra survivability and damage output from shrines make them an essential part of the strategy for deep yellow and early red maps.

2. Map Drop Focus: Conqueror, Elder, Shaper, and Synthesis Maps

The next key focus is acquiring nodes that boost the drop rates for Conqueror maps, Elder and Shaper Guardian maps, and Synthesis maps. These nodes, primarily located on the top part of the tree, are essential for completing Atlas objectives, as well as for generating currency by selling excess Guardian and Synthesis maps. After completing these maps, players can sell any remaining ones to fund gear upgrades.

Step 3: Endgame Atlas Strategy

As the Atlas is fully unlocked and players shift into endgame farming, the strategy pivots to maximizing loot from Betrayal encounters and pushing into the hardest content for the most valuable rewards.

1. Betrayal Farming and Katarina Kills

The endgame passive tree focuses heavily on Betrayal content. The primary objective here is to farm as many Katarina encounters as possible. By allocating all the nodes related to Jun missions and Betrayal mechanics, players can increase their chances of encountering Katarina multiple times. The goal is to kill over 1,000 Katarinas during the event, with a focus on farming Veiled Orbs, which are highly valuable for crafting and trading.

Additionally, certain Betrayal nodes increase the chance for Scarabs to drop from unique Betrayal members, ensuring a steady supply of these valuable items, which can be sold or used for juiced map farming.

2. Blocking Unwanted League Mechanics

To further streamline the focus on Betrayal and map drops, nodes that block other league mechanics, such as Delirium and Harvest, are taken. Blocking Delirium also prevents the drop of Delirium scarabs, which allows for better targeting of Scarabs from more profitable mechanics like Ultimatum.

3. Shrine and Map Drop Synergy

The shrine nodes from the earlier phases continue to provide utility during endgame content. Additionally, the nodes that increase drop rates for Conqueror, Elder, Shaper, and Synthesis maps remain crucial, as these maps can drop valuable invitations and other high-tier rewards. Combining these with shrine buffs allows players to handle these more difficult encounters with greater ease.

Step 4: Additional Map Sustain and High-End Farming

Once the foundational parts of the tree are in place, additional points can be spent on nodes that provide more monster packs, map effects, and other bonuses to enhance the mapping experience. These nodes aren’t strictly necessary for the core progression, but they can provide extra rewards once the primary objectives have been completed.

1. Monster Pack and Map Effect Nodes

Extra nodes like the ones that offer a 10% increase in monster pack size or those that add rewarding monsters are taken at this stage. While not essential, these nodes can provide a nice boost to map density and loot, particularly for players looking to fully juice their maps.

2. Destructive Play for Bossing

After completing the core Atlas strategy, players can consider shifting to a boss-farming strategy by investing in Destructive Play. This will increase the number of bosses in maps, providing a higher chance to farm valuable Guardian maps and invitations for the Maven’s Crucible.

PoE 3.25 Best Currency Farming Strategies for Necro Settlers Event

The modifiers in Settlers of Kalguur will result in a significant increase in small currencies such as Chaos Orbs, Glassblower's Baubles, and Gemcutter's Prisms. Due to market saturation, this influx of bubblegum currency will lower their overall value. As a result, you should focus on mechanics that drop rarer, more valuable items.

Mechanics to Focus On

  • Betrayal: As mentioned earlier, Veiled Orbs and Betrayal-specific rewards will be in high demand due to their rarity in maps.

  • Essences: Since Essence drops will be limited outside of specific nodes, they will retain high value throughout the event.

  • Incursion & Alva Temples: Temples and double-corruption rooms will be highly sought after, especially early in the event when players are gearing up.

  • Blight & Beast Farming: Blight maps and Beastcrafting will also be valuable, as these rewards cannot be farmed as easily in regular maps.

  • Harvest: Harvest crafting will be essential, as players will need it to enhance their gear quickly, especially with the speed at which currency will be farmed.

Mechanics to Avoid

  • Strongboxes: With a large influx of raw currency from maps, strongbox farming will not be as lucrative.

  • Expedition: Expedition, particularly Tujen, will see diminished returns due to the abundance of bubblegum currency.

  • Legion & Beyond: These mechanics typically reward players with raw currency, which will be less valuable in this event.

PoE 3.25 Necro Settlers Mapping Plan & Strategy

Map sustain is crucial for progressing efficiently through the Atlas. With the right passive tree setups, you can ensure a steady supply of connected maps. Focus on nodes that increase map drop chance and connected map drops.

Tier 16+ Maps

Farming Tier 16+ maps with additional modifiers will be important for maximizing currency and item drops. Use Scarabs and other modifiers to increase pack size, item quantity, and rarity.

Cyclone Build

For those looking for a build to run during the event, I'll be playing a Cyclone build this time. It's a comfortable and reliable build for map farming. I won't be starting with Flicker Strike like I did in the previous league, but will instead focus on Cyclone from the early mapping stages. If you're interested, Sero recently put out a great video on Cyclone builds, which I highly recommend.

This is our strategy for the Settlers of Kalguur event in PoE 3.25. By focusing on the right Atlas passives, farming mechanics, and currency-generating strategies, you can maximize your progression and profits during the event. Remember to adapt your strategies based on market trends and the specific rewards that become more valuable as the event progresses.
