This event is packed with exciting opportunities, from farming valuable currency to progressing through the Atlas efficiently, and this guide will help you maximize your loot and progression.
PoE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur Event Atlas & Mapping Plan Guide
The Settlers of Kalguur event is set to begin on November 7, 2024. In this event, you'll encounter modifiers from the Necropolis League, which include positive benefits like increased pack size, additional currency drops (Chaos Orbs, Regal Orbs, etc.), and more. Importantly, the negative modifiers from Necropolis, known as "Haunted Modifiers," will not appear, making this an even more rewarding experience.
Expect to see modifiers that increase pack size, Rarity, and Quantity of items, which are crucial for farming various currencies, including Divine Orbs and other "bubblegum" currencies such as Glassblower's Baubles and Gemcutter's Prisms.
PoE 3.25 Best Atlas Passive Trees for Settler of Kalguur Event
Your Atlas passive tree is vital for maximizing map drops, currency, and other rewards. Here's a breakdown of the tree strategies I'll be using for this event:
Strategy 1 - Map Sustain and Progression
In the first tree, we recommend rushing to Unwavering Vision to gain 20 bonus points. These points should be invested in nodes that improve map sustain on the left, right, and middle sides of the tree. Be sure to grab Commissioned Officer for a 6% chance to trigger a free Kirac mission when completing a map.
Strategy 2 - Maximizing Connected Map Drops (More Maps, More Monsters)
Next, focus on nodes that increase the chance for monsters to drop connected maps. This will help ensure a steady supply of maps to keep you going. With these nodes, you’ll have a 60% chance for a monster to drop an additional connected map.
Strategy 3 - Shrine Nodes for Additional Buffs
As we move into deeper Yellow and early Red maps, survivability becomes more important. That's why we focus on shrine nodes from the bottom, middle, and top of the tree, which provide additional buffs to help tackle more challenging content.
Strategy 4 - Unique Map Drops
For endgame progression, grab the nodes that increase the drop chance of Conqueror, Shaper, Elder, and Synthesis maps. These maps are valuable for both completion and selling for currency.
Strategy 5 - Monster Pack Size and Map Effects
Once you’ve secured the essentials, consider adding nodes that increase monster pack size and map effects. These nodes are less critical but can provide additional rewards as you farm maps.
Strategy 6 - Endgame Passive Tree for June & Betrayal Farming
In the endgame, my strategy shifts towards Betrayal farming, focusing on June Missions. Our goal is to kill as many Katarinas as possible to gather Veiled Orbs and other valuable Betrayal rewards. I plan to kill 1,000 Katarinas during this event to test the drop rates of Veiled Orbs and other items.
To support this, We'll block all league mechanics except Harvest and Ultimatum, as blocking specific mechanics also blocks the associated Scarab drops. This ensures that we can focus on farming Scarab drops from Ultimatum and Harvest without diluting the pool with other mechanics.
Additionally, we pick up Blue Altar nodes, Scarab Chance nodes, and more map drop nodes for Conqueror, Elder, Shaper, and Synthesis Maps. This setup is designed to farm as many Tier 17 maps as possible, which can be sold for profit.
Strategy 7 - Betrayal and Veiled Orb Farming
Betrayal will be one of the top mechanics to focus on during this event. Veiled Orbs do not drop in maps, so their value is expected to be much higher. Killing Katarina frequently will help stockpile these valuable orbs, and you can sell any excess for profit.
PoE 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur Event Currency Farming Strategies
The modifiers in Settlers of Kalguur will result in a significant increase in small currencies such as Chaos Orbs, Glassblower's Baubles, and Gemcutter's Prisms. This influx of bubblegum currency will lower their overall value due to market saturation. As a result, you should focus on mechanics that drop rarer, more valuable items.
Mechanics to Focus On
Betrayal: As mentioned earlier, Veiled Orbs and Betrayal-specific rewards will be in high demand due to their rarity in maps.
Essences: Since Essence drops will be limited outside of specific nodes, they will retain high value throughout the event.
Incursion & Alva Temples: Temples and double-corruption rooms will be highly sought after, especially early in the event when players are gearing up.
Blight & Beast Farming: Blight maps and Beastcrafting will also be valuable, as these rewards cannot be farmed as easily in regular maps.
Harvest: Harvest crafting will be essential, as players will need it to enhance their gear quickly, especially with the speed at which currency will be farmed.
Mechanics to Avoid
Strongboxes: With a large influx of raw currency from maps, strongbox farming will not be as lucrative.
Expedition: Expedition, particularly Tujen, will see diminished returns due to the abundance of bubblegum currency.
Legion & Beyond: These mechanics typically reward players with raw currency, which will be less valuable in this event.

Map sustain is crucial for progressing efficiently through the Atlas. With the right passive tree setups, you can ensure a steady supply of connected maps. Focus on nodes that increase map drop chance and connected map drops.
Tier 16+ Maps
Farming Tier 16+ maps with additional modifiers will be important for maximizing currency and item drops. Use Scarabs and other modifiers to increase pack size, item quantity, and rarity.
Cyclone Build
For those looking for a build to run during the event, I'll be playing a Cyclone build this time. It's a comfortable and reliable build for map farming. I won't be starting with Flicker Strike like I did in the previous league, but will instead focus on Cyclone from the early mapping stages.
