Path of Exile Schedule 2024-2025: Next League, New Event, PoE 2 and More

11/4/2024 9:57:54 AM

The Path of Exile community will experience significant changes and transitions as we move through the final months of 2024 and into early 2025. With several major announcements and schedule adjustments, players have a lot to look forward to, today we’ll talk about the PoE timeline from 2024 to 2025, covering the next 3.26 league, the new Settlers event, and PoE 2.

Path of Exile Next League Date - When Will PoE 3.26 League Be Released?

Path of Exile 3.26 is anticipated to be released in early February 2025, with the official league announcement expected in late January 2025. This timeline follows the recent news of Path of Exile 2's Early Access being delayed by three weeks to December 6th, 2024. To bridge the gap between now and the new 3.26 season, Grinding Gear Games is implementing a Settlers of Kalguur event beginning this month, which will extend into early 2025. This structured timeline maintains the game's regular update cycle while accommodating the delayed PoE 2 Early Access launch.

The development team traditionally avoids Christmas-period releases to ensure their staff can spend time with family during the holidays, despite the potentially lucrative holiday gaming market. Additionally, January is typically avoided for major releases due to reduced consumer spending following the holiday season. February, however, represents an optimal launch window when consumer spending typically rebounds. This timing also provides adequate breathing room after the release of PoE 2 Early Access, allowing the development team to properly focus on both projects while maintaining quality standards.

New Path of Exile Settlers of Kalguur Event 2024 - PoE Settlers 2.0 Release Date

The Settlers of Kalguur event will begin on November 7th, 2024, the primary mechanic involves monsters in every area being affected by pools of mods that players can manipulate using lanterns, and the event promises to be rewarding with the possibility of obtaining Divine Orbs. However, it appears to be a scaled-back version of what some players might have expected, as it won't include previously teased features like Rogue Exiles and chaos-dropping mechanics that were available in earlier iterations. While some hardcore PoE fans might find this event entertaining, it seems to be designed as bridge content to keep players engaged until the PoE 2 Early Access goes live.

To participate in the event, players will need to create a brand new character as the event takes place in a fresh economy, meaning you cannot use any existing characters from other leagues. The event is non-voided, which means any progress and items you earn during the event will be preserved after it ends.

Path of Exile Schedule/Timeline 2024-2025

Below is a rough timeline confirmed by official reveals, so the next thing that we can expect is the coming of the new event in the current season, and the 3.26 expansion won't come out until next year. Once Path of Exile 2 fully launches following its Early Access release, Grinding Gear Games plans to implement a staggered release schedule between POE 1 and POE 2 leagues, ensuring more frequent content updates for players. This strategic approach will result in increased league launches throughout the year, providing consistent engagement opportunities for both games' communities.

  • PoE Settlers of Kalguur Event (Settlers 2.0): November 7, 2024

  • PoE 2 Early Access: December 6, 2024 (Delayed by 3 weeks from original plan)

  • PoE 3.26 Announcement: Late January 2025

  • PoE 3.26 League Release: February 2025
