To commemorate this occasion, the WoW team has prepared a spectacular anniversary event, packed with exciting activities, rewards, and gifts to the game's history. WoW 20th Anniversary Event 2024 Guide

WoW 20th Anniversary Event Date - When Will WoW 20 Year Anniversary Start and End?

The World of Warcraft (WoW) 20th Anniversary event is scheduled to run from November 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM to December 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM. This celebratory event, part of The War Within Patch 11.0.5, will introduce several exciting rewards and features for players to enjoy. While the event is centered around this anniversary celebration, the patch may also introduce other features like Classic Timewalking dungeons, providing players with a variety of content to explore during this special period.

WoW 20th Anniversary Rewards

• Currency

- Timewarped Badge: a traditional currency from past WoW anniversary events, making a return for this special occasion. Players can earn these badges by completing daily and weekly quests, which will reward them with a stash of Timewarped Badges. These badges can be used to purchase old cosmetic items, toys, and pets from vendors, allowing players to acquire some nostalgic goodies. Additionally, a special vendor will offer new items, including mounts, for a hefty 5,000 badges each.

- Bronze Celebration Tokens (New): a new currency specifically designed for the TWW 20th Anniversary Event. Players can obtain tokens by completing daily quests, including PvP and world boss quests, as well as by completing the new raid quests. The tokens can be used to purchase upgraded Tier 2 armor sets from a vendor, with each set costing 80 tokens initially. However, subsequent purchases will require fewer tokens thanks to an achievement. Players can also use their tokens to buy old anniversary pets for 10 tokens each, as well as toys, pets, and themed items from vendors for 10-15 tokens each.

The 20th Anniversary Event offers a mix of new and returning mounts, headlined by the majestic Blue Armored Phoenix, a stunning riff on the iconic Ashes of Al'ar.

• Transmog

In celebration of the 20-Year Anniversary Event, players can now get their hands on a new Transmog collection inspired by the exclusive service rewards earned by Blizzard employees. This set includes a stylish sword, shield, helm, and a matching ring toy, allowing players to emulate the iconic look of Blizzard's own veterans.

• Pets and Toys

A selection of beloved pets from previous anniversary events are making a comeback. This is a dream come true for =pet collectors, who can now relive the memories and accomplishments of WoW's rich history. There are also new toys to be introduced to the game. Use 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens to buy each pet from Storekeeper Reginald.

The Blackrock Depths is a revamped 10-15 player raid that available in Raid Finder, Normal, and Heroic difficulties, it offers a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation, allowing both veteran players and newcomers to experience this classic location in a whole new light. With its mix of challenging bosses, exciting loot, and the ability to tackle it with friends in various difficulty modes, this raid is set to be a highlight of the 20th Anniversary Event in War Within.

WoW 20th Anniversary Tier 2 Armor Sets

The original 8 Tier 2 sets will come back to celebrate the anniversary and new armor sets will be added, you can purchase Tier 2 armor sets for all 13 classes using Bronze Celebration Tokens, each set has a unique appearance. Unlock the Upgraded Apparel achievement to lower the cost of additional Tier 2 sets to 40 Bronze Celebration Tokens each.

WoW 20th Anniversary World Bosses & Loot

To participate in these bosses and gain loot, you need to reach level 15. We'll update the 2024 WoW anniversary world boss loot table once it is available. 

WoW 20th Anniversary Caverns of Time Event

Players can immerse themselves in a variety of engaging mini-games and activities. These include Fashion Frenzy, a style competition reminiscent of Trial of Style; storytelling sessions with the beloved Lorewalker Cho; Mount Mania for collectors to showcase their prized mounts; and a Pet Corner for enthusiasts to display their companion collections. Adding to the festive atmosphere, players can don costumes of iconic WoW characters, complete with themed emotes and voice lines. The event also features a puzzle-solving adventure called Guest Relations, serving as a sequel to the Secrets of Azeroth event, where players can interact with visitors throughout the Caverns of Time to unravel clues and riddles.

WoW 20th Anniversary Quest

The Korrak's Revenge quest takes place in a modified version of Alterac Valley. Players engage in intense battles, summoning bosses and completing objectives to achieve victory. As a reward for participating in this event, players can earn a faction-specific mount. Alliance members receive the Stormpike Battle Ram, a sturdy creature raised in the Alterac Mountains and trained to headbutt orcs, while Horde players obtain the Frostwolf Snarler, a fierce beast also from the Alterac Mountains but trained to bite dwarves. To enhance accessibility, PvP Vendors for this event have been conveniently relocated to the Caverns of Time Anniversary Hub.
