Let’s get into the WoW War Within reputation guide with the gear rewards, vendors, and best ways to farm reps in TWW for maximizing your reputation gains and leveling characters.

WoW War Within Reputation Guide: Rewards, Vendors & Best Way to Farm

In World of Warcraft: The War Within, there are several effective and fast ways to farm reputation and renown. Questing is a primary method, with the main story providing substantial reputation gains across all factions. More sources are available in the game for rep grind.

TWW Reputation Farm

  • Sojourner of Hallowfall Achievement

After completing the main storyline, you can focus on the Sojourner of Hallowfall achievements for each zone, which involves completing various quest chains. These chains often culminate in a 500 reputation reward upon completion. An efficient strategy is to utilize alternate characters to progress through these zone-specific quests, as the reputation gains are account-wide. This approach allows you to simultaneously level up their alts while boosting the overall reputation. The Sojurner quests can be tracked through the achievements panel, making it easy to identify which quests to target in each zone.

  • Collect Treasures

Treasures scattered throughout the map offer another valuable method for grinding reputation in The War Within. These small chests, visible as icons on your mini-map, not only contain items like pets, and toys but also award 150 reputation points each. Collecting all treasures in a zone can result in several thousand reputation points, with the reputation tied to the faction associated with that particular zone. To streamline this process, you can utilize the HandyNotes addon, which helps track and locate these treasures efficiently. This addon displays the total number of treasures in each zone, so you can hover over map icons to check if you’ve already been collected on your account.

  • Rare Spawns

Rares are special enemies that appear sporadically throughout the zones and are indicated by silver mob icons on the map. Each rare defeat awards 150 reputation points for the corresponding zone's faction. Unlike treasures, rare spawns aren't always readily available, you need to be in the right place at the right time or potentially specific locations. Some rares may also necessitate a group to defeat, adding an element of coordination. While actively questing or completing world quests, it's advisable to detour and engage any nearby rares. These encounters not only offer reputation but can also drop valuable items and level-appropriate gear.

  • Contracts

Available through the auction house, these single-use items provide a week-long, account-wide buff that increases the reputation earned from World Quests. For instance, a three-star reputation contract adds 15 reputation points to every World Quest completed during that week. However, it's worth noting that some contracts may be significantly overpriced, potentially making them less cost-effective for many players. Nevertheless, for those with ample WoW gold reserves or if prices become more reasonable, contracts can be a good way to maximize reputation farms across all characters.

  • Weekly Quest

Another way to farm reputation in WoW TWW is the weekly quest in Dornogal, where you can earn 1500 reputation points from a weekly dungeon quest. Given the relative ease of dungeons, this quest is highly recommended to complete every week. As the expansion progresses, it's likely that similar high-reward weekly quests will be introduced, possibly involving activities in PvP.

  • Special Assignment

Special Assignment quests require players to complete a series of tasks within a specific zone, unlocking a larger event quest upon completion. While the primary reward for these quests is special keys needed for Bountiful Delves, they also provide a modest reputation boost of approximately 200 points. Bountiful Delves offers another avenue for reputation gains but comes with a strategic consideration. While they provide a good amount of reputation, the current gear rewards are suboptimal. It's advisable to hold onto your keys until Season 1 begins, at which point the gear rewards are expected to improve significantly.

  • Assembly of the Deeps

When it comes to these four factions, you can find Khaz Algar reputation vendors in each zone. The Ringing Deeps zone offers a unique reputation-building opportunity for the Assembly of the Deeps faction through the Awakening the Machine event. Players will face waves of enemies, with every five waves completed granting access to open one of the chests. Completing all 20 waves allows players to open all the chests, the real rewards come from these chests that contain varying amounts of reputation, with observed values ranging from 250 to 350 reputation points per chest.

  • Council of Dornagal

The Isle of Dorn hosts an hourly Theater Troupe World Event for the Council of Dawn faction, offering a substantial reputation boost of 1,000 points with each completion. This event requires players to first complete an introductory quest from the main NPC to unlock that. It involves a variety of casual activities such as defeating enemies, interacting with objects, and performing emotes, making it accessible to players regardless of their build or gear. As participants engage in these tasks, they fill a contribution bar, with higher completion correlating to better rewards.

  • Hallowfall Arathi

In this area, you can participate in the Spreading the Light event, which involves lighting up four Lesser Keyflames, there are bonus objectives and quests that will provide you with a Lamplighter Supply Satchel and more Hallowfall Arathi reputation. While time-consuming for solo players, this event can be tackled more efficiently in groups.

  • Severed Threads

In the insect-themed zone, players engage with the Severed Threads reputation system, which operates differently from other factions. Upon reaching max level and completing the Forge a Pact quest, players must align with one of three minor factions: Weaver, Vizier, or General. This way rewards 1,500 reputation points. To progress, you can unlock and participate in faction-specific activities such as treasure hunts or excavations, or complete world quests and defeat rare enemies. The zone is dotted with small bug icons on the minimap, indicating mini-quests that contribute to reputation progress.

TWW Reputation Gear Rewards

The reputation rewards you can unlock in TWW include useful gear, pets, mounts, etc. To obtain a specific gear reward, you need to collect 2500 reputation points to increase your renown rank by 1. Once you reach a certain level, you are able to unlock different items.
