The War Within Best M+ & Raid Tanks - TWW Tank Tier List & Ranking

The introduction of new Heroic Talents has reshaped how tanks perform in both Mythic+ dungeons and raid environments. The tank is responsible for maintaining threat and taking monster/boss attacks to keep pressure off the healers and DPS. A tank needs robust survivability through self-healing, damage mitigation, and avoidance. Many tougher Mythic+ and raid pulls require effective crowd control (CC) like stuns, interrupts, snares, etc. to prevent damage. Good tanks excel at coordinating and assisting with CC. War Within M+ Tank Tier List

S Tier

Blood Death Knight

Blood Death Knight is the best War Within M+ tank. Everything works properly. It feels good both in Raid and M+. It has good damage, great survivability, and the talent tree is significantly better. So overall, Bood DK is fantastic, very strong.

Brewmaster Monk

Brewmaster is going to be higher than what most people rate it but it's the same tier as Bloody DK on the TWW M+ tank tier list. Brewmasters have the highest tank damage and super good survivability. Elixir of Determination fixed most of our issues and it recently got buffed which is a huge deal, especially on trash packs for casters. It'll proc way more often and it gives us a reason to be hopeful to live. Damage might get tuned down so Blood DK is better due to its toolkit.

Protection Warrior

Protection Warrior is in an extremely good spot. His spell reflection is absolutely insane in the current season, really tanky. The damage is mediocre, it's not insane but it's okay. Spell reflect hard carry is absolutely insane this season, it's reminiscent of BFA. In a dungeon pool where spells reflect, it is absolutely bonkers. Good season for Protection Warrior. These three S tier specs on the War Within Mythic+ tank tier list are pretty much tied.

A Tier

Feral Druid

Feral Druid and Vengeance Demon Hunter are still good but not bis. These are good, they have potential but they might even be tuning required. Bear is overall fine maybe some buffs to the lunar talent tree.

Vengeance Demon Hunter

Vengeance Demon Hunter needs a change to Demon Spike because DK has their stat reliant fix by playing sand lane. DH should have spikes not scale with haste and have a way lower cooldown in general. 

D Tier

Paladin

The only issue with Paladin is its mitigation healing. We're not properly scaled right now because you cannot top yourself like you can on live and that's a really big issue for Paladin. You need to be able to top yourself that's the whole point and it's how the class functions. Hero talents don't have any issues with but overall this class needs a lot of help.

S Tier

Blood Death Knight

Excels due to updated Bone Storm mechanics and impactful Heroic Talents like Sand Lane and Deathbringer.

Protection Paladin

Top tier choice with enjoyable Heroic Talents such as Templar and Eye of Tyr.

A Tier

Protection Warrior

Highly durable thanks to talents like Colossus and Mountain King, but limited talent flexibility holds it back from S tier.

B Tier

Guardian Druid

Offers versatile Arcane and Physical builds but lacks the power of S tier best War Within raid tanks.

Vengeance Demon Hunter

Strong overall with effective talents, but abilities like Alrai lack excitement and synergy compared to top tanks.

D Tier

Brewmaster Monk

Currently feels underpowered and fragile. The Stagger mechanic and Heroic Talents need buffs/enhancements in order to compete effectively in raids.
