The War Within Healer Tier List - Best Healer Ranking for M+ & PvP in TWW

6/24/2024 11:37:20 AM

In the World of Warcraft: The War Within beta, we've gotten the chance to test out the various healer specializations and see how they are shaping up for the new expansion. Some healers are performing better than others based on a variety of factors. In this guide, we'll rank the healers from best to worst based on their performance in the TWW beta.

TWW Healer Tier List - Ranking Best Healer Spec for M+, Raids & PvP in TWW

When evaluating the best healer specs in World of Warcraft: The War Within (WoW TWW), we must consider the recent balance changes and performance in the beta. While DPS specs have seen numerous adjustments, healer specs have remained relatively stable, making it worthwhile to analyze their performance. This guide will cover all the healer specs, their strengths, and current standings.

  • 1. Mistweaver Monk (S Tier)

Mistweaver Monk has emerged as the top-performing healer in TWW beta testing so far. The main reason for this is the reworked Mana Tea ability, which now provides insane mana regen. With the new Mana Tea, Mistweavers can gain the equivalent of two full mana bars during an 8-minute raid encounter, allowing near infinite mana sustainability. This allows Mistweavers to maintain strong healing throughout extended fights when other healers struggle with mana. Beyond the mana advantage, Mistweaver's core gameplay remains largely unchanged from previous expansions, still relying heavily on Enveloping Mist, Renewing Mist, and Vivify

  • 2. Restoration Shaman (S Tier)

Restoration Shaman ranks high due to strong synergies between their Tier Set bonuses, Legendary effects, and Talents. The focus remains on Chain Heal spam, which is further enabled by new instant cast Healing Rain from the Totemic hero talent. Mana efficiency may be a concern, but overall throughput is very competitive.

  • 3. Preservation Evoker (A Tier)

Preservation Evoker is looking quite solid, able to viably play both of their throughput-focused hero talents Karden and Flamekeeper. They provide consistent healing through abilities like Echo, Temporal Anomaly, Dream Breath and Spirit Bloom. Mana is more of a limitation compared to Mistweaver, but Evokers still put out strong healing numbers.

  • 4. Holy Paladin (B Tier)

Holy Paladin was extremely overpowered during early beta testing due to the overtuned Light's Hero talent. Although nerfed since then, Holy Paladin still provides high healing through abilities like Holy Shock and the new Eternal Flame talent. Mana efficiency and lack of diversity in playstyle remains an issue.

  • 5. Restoration Druid (B Tier)

Restoration Druid ranks low due to a lack of impactful changes in Dragonflight. The playstyle and abilities remain extremely similar to previous expansions, with a focus on using Wild Growth, Swiftmend, and the Groveguardians from the Keeper of the Grove talent. Mana efficiency is also a concern due to the lack of extra regeneration.

  • 6. Discipline Priest (D Tier)

Discipline Priest suffers from some questionable mechanical interactions and low overall throughput numbers. The Tier Set bonuses don't align well with ramp timings. Mana efficiency is also hampered compared to past expansions. Some talent and number tuning should help improve Discipline's standing.

  • 7. Holy Priest (D Tier)

Holy Priest is pulled down by low overall throughput compared to other healers. The new Archon hero talent provides a strong healing cooldown, but doesn't make up for weaker performance in sustained healing. Mostly a numbers tuning issue that should be solvable with buffs.

TWW beta testing shows a wide gap between the top and bottom healers in terms of throughput, mana efficiency and impactful changes. As always, extensive balance tuning will continue leading up to launch, so the rankings could shift. But based on current evidence, Mistweaver Monk and Restoration Shaman appear to be leading the pack, while Discipline Priest and Holy Priest lag behind. Healers in the middle of the pack like Evoker and Holy Paladin show promise but need some mechanical fixes.
