6/5/2024 3:36:58 PM

Spells have been buffed, nerfed and changed significantly in Elden Ring. If you want to find out the best Elden Ring DLC spells 2024, let’s find out on this Elden Ring Sorcery ranking for Shadow of Erdtree.

Elden Ring Best Sorceries For DLC - Elden Ring Spells Tier List 2024

In Elden Ring, spells are divided into two main categories: Sorceries and Incantations. Sorceries generally focus on offensive magic, while Incantations offer a mix of offensive, defensive, and support abilities. Having the best Elden Ring sorceries can deal significantly more damage compared to regular attacks or weaker spells. This increased damage output allows you to defeat enemies and bosses more quickly and efficiently, reducing the duration and difficulty of encounters. Next, we’re going to talk about Elden Ring DLC best spells for any intelligence build.

1. Glintstone Arc

Glintstone Arc is a pretty cheap AOE spell that is very low in requirement and low in FP cost. It’s very fast cast time and it deals a decent amount of stagger since it does stagger enemies pretty comfortably. The real benefit here is the AOE potential because a lot of spells across the board don't have that AOE potential. Imagine how op that would be to be able to stand at range and spam AOE spells. This is one of the best Elden Ring DLC sorceries that allow you to do that, also pierces through targets so it can hit multiple targets.

How to get?

If you’re starting as the Astrologer class you can buy it from Sorceress Sellen at the Waypoint Ruins.

2. Rock Sling

Rock Sling was great at launch and it's still great now. It's not as good but it's still fantastic. Rock Sling does physical damage whereas every other magic spell does magic damage. So if you come across enemies that are resistant to magic and you are a full intelligence magic build, this is the best Elden Ring DLC sorcery for you in the fight. It also does great poise damage so it will very regularly stagger enemies if you're going to follow up with any sort of critical hits in that way.  The benefit of it being physical damage is it also gains buffs from those physical damage buffs and it's also boosted by the Meteoric Staff as well.

How to get?

If you head to the Street of Sages Ruins in Caelid in an underground Celler. Here you'll find a chest that will contain Rock Sling for you.

3. Carian Slicer

Carian Slicer is the best melee DPS spell in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. It is a very fast sweeping attack with this magical sword that does really fantastic damage and you can get this super in the game. If you want to have some melee-focused intelligence knight build without using a sword but by using a magical sword like this, this is definitely the option that you'll use as your main damage dealer when you're in melee range.

How to get?

You'll need to get the Royal House Scroll right in Limgrave on top of the tower next to a Mage. Then you take that to Sorceress Sellen and then you'll be able to purchase Carian Slicer from them after you have given them this scroll.

4. Night Comet

Night Comet is one of the best spammable ranged spells in Elden Ring for DLC. You can charge this for extra damage but the main benefit is that enemies do not dodge away from Night Comet. The second benefit is that with the Staff of Loss, you can boost its damage by 30%. In patch 1.07, its FP consumption gets reduced, so it has a buff as well.

How to get?

To get this, you'll need to go to Sellia, Town of Sorcery. There is a tower in the southwest corner where you'll need to light the brazer and then it will unlock a sealed barrier in the center of the town. Inside that chest, you'll find Night Comet for you to grab. The Staff of Loss is also found in the same village.

5. Comet

The Comet is the best ranged spell in terms of damage potential once you have charged it up. That is mostly because of the buffs it had received in patch 1.07 where its FP cost was reduced from 26 to 24, its damage was increased, its stamina damage against guarding enemies was increased and its stamina cost was also reduced. When you charge this up, it does deal a significant amount of damage and you can also Pierce this through enemies as well. If you're fighting a group of enemies, you've got that extra benefit because of its high damage potential. The downside is the longer cast time than most of the spells on this Elden Ring DLC spells tier list,  but it has higher damage potential.

How to get?

Before the Debate Parlor, there is an illusionary wall and destroy the wall. Once you go in there, there'll be a chest that will contain Comet.

6. Adulas Moon Blade

Adulas Moon Blade is a really good spell for a couple of reasons. It's considered a carrian sword sorcery so you can give it buffs via the Carian Glintstone Staff. It's considered a cold sorcery so you can give it buffs via the Snow Witch Hat. In patch 1.07, this also has been buffed to increase the amount of frostbite buildup that it does do on certain types of targets that are guarding. It also had FP consumption reduced down to 22 which is the main benefit to this so you can spam this better. If you're equipping the talismans that reduce your casting time or those buffs as well, you can get this off in an attack much faster to build up that frostbite which is the main focus of using this.

How to get?

This is dropped by Glintstone Dragon Adula located at the Cathedral of Manus Celes which is at the very end of Ranni's Quest. You'll have to do the entire questline, go all the way through the Lake of Rot and defeat Astel. At last, you'll be able to get Adulas Moon Blade by defeating the dragon at the very top.

7. Moon Spells

Rennala’s Full Moon reduces the magic damage negation of those that attacks. All intelligence builds uses magic so reducing their damage negation is fantastic. Ranni's Dark Moon is the better version that comes a bit later in the game. It does the same magic negation effect but it also does frostbite buildup which is fantastic and you can buff this with the Carian Regal Scepter. You can buff both of these with that if you wanted to go that route as well.

How to get?

Chelona's Rise is found in the Moonlight Altar area at the very end of Ronnie's quest line just like the previous one. There is a tower that you will need to unlock the seal by defeating the various Turtles. At the top of that tower in a chest, you will find Ronnie's Dark Moon.

8. Shard Spiral

In patch 1.07, its attack power significantly increased. The benefit is it does heat seek targets, it will constantly hit enemies as it rotates through them. If you have a large enemy, this is going to hit multiple targets. This is the Elden Ring DLC best spell that you should absolutely get.

How to get?

You will need to complete Sorceress Sellen entire questline and side with her at the very end. Once you open up her menu to purchase things from her again, she will have this option for you to buy.
