Acquiring the best Elden Ring 1.10 weapons for early game presents can significantly enhance your gaming experience. Equipping powerful Elden Ring weapons early on allows you to dispatch enemies more swiftly and effectively, streamlining your progression through the game. Following are best Elden Ring 1.10 early weapons are very easily accessible and very beginner-friendly, so you don't have to do a bunch of farming or kill any hard bosses to acquire these weapons. The only areas we are going to be traveling to will just be Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, and some parts of Caelid.
10. Claymore
This is going to be one of the best 1.10 Elden Ring greatsword of early game. It's an amazing weapon class, it has very solid move sets, good damage, good stagger potential, and some very good weapon skill options. For the Claymore, this is going to be a strength-based greatsword that can be infused. Unlike some of the other greatswords, it's probably not going to get the most amount of damage but one thing that it does have is a unique heavy attack. Instead of having a horizontal swipe or a downward slam, it gets a poking attack. Poking attacks and piercing damage are amazing in this game a lot of enemies are just weak to it. Typically, poking attacks will come out faster and go further as well.
Weapon Combos
So pairing this alongside a charged heavy attack build, using the Axe Talisman in the Spiked Cracked tear could work very nicely. Another amazing thing about this weapon is going to be its default skill, it comes with a Lion's Claw. This weapon skill does a cool front flipping attack which has high amounts of damage and stance damage doesn't cost much FP. It's a quicker animation and you get infinite hyper armor. This means that throughout the entire animation, you're not going to get staggered out of it.
How to Get?
Lion's Claw can be accessible later on in the game and you can put that on any type of weapon that you want to. But the fact that you can get access to it very early on in the game. In terms of requiring this weapon, you do have to go to Castle Morne in the Weeping Peninsula. It requires a little bit of traveling but it's basically just heading all the way south from where you start off the game and doesn't require you to kill anything. You can pick it up off a chest and you have yourself an amazing Elden Ring 1.10 early game weapon.
9. Great Epee
Great Epee is a heavy-thrusting sword which is one of the better weapon classes in the game. They get probably the best two-handed move set, they can stagger pretty nicely and the running heavy attack is just the best running attack in the entire game. It covers so much distance and incredible speeds and does some really nice damage. Typically when using these thrusting types of weapons, they'll lack variety because they only get a bunch of poking attacks which poking attacks are nice. But when trying to hit multiple enemies at once, it can be lacking. If you are in need of a variety of move sets, the Great Epee is going to be the Elden Ring best 1.10 early game weapon for you. This weapon also can be infused, it does scale best of strength although going into dexterity is almost just as good.
How to Get?
Acquiring the weapon itself, you can get it due east of the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace. It would be in a chest surrounded by some enemies.
8. Reduvia
This is a dagger. Although they don't get good damage, the stagger potential is not that high and they have poor range, the trade-off being that they're really quick. Like claws and fist weapons can just do the exact same thing but just perform a lot better in stance damage, move sets, and DPS. It is going to be a special weapon meaning that you cannot infuse it and it gets stuck with its weapon skill which is Reduvia Blood Blade. This is an incredible skill to have, it's a nice damaging projectile that causes high amounts of blood loss buildup. Blood loss build up in this game is incredible, enemies get shredded and melted by this status effect. They take chunk damage every single time that it does proc.
Weapon Combos
We recommend switching off it later on in the playthrough if you do get access to the Blood Blade Ash of War since it performs the exact same way but it can do more stance damage and consume less FP and stamina. But Blood Blade Ash of War does decrease a little bit of your HP.
How to Get?
It is going to be an NPC invasion. In the little section, you'll trigger an invasion. This Invader fight is challenging but you can just wait around for about 10 to 20 seconds, then another NPC will actually come and help you. Once you do defeat the NPC Invader, you do get access to the Reduvia.
7. Lance
Lance is the low greatspear in the entire game that can be infused which makes it very useful. Greatspear is an amazing weapon class that gets a bunch of good poking attacks and a high amount of stance damage. They can be coupled alongside a shield and you can block and poke at the exact same time.
Weapon Combos
If you get yourself a second spear, the dual-wielding combo can be really good as well. They also have good weapon skill options. With how good the scalings of this weapon can be, with a lot of different types of infusions, it is very versatile with any single type of build. It does scale primarily off your strength stat, but if you want to infuse it into a faith or intelligence type of build, you can do that. The best Ash of War to infuse early game would be Impaling Thrust, it has a very quick poking attack, high damage, high stance damage, doesn't consume much FP and it's a very quick animation.
How to Get?
You can acquire Impaling Thrust from Bernahl at the WM Shack. In terms of the weapon itself, you get it at a very similar location, a bit north of the Warmaster's Shack.
6. Rusted Anchor
Rusted Anchor is a great axe that can be infused with one of the best strength weapons in the entire game. Great axes are a pretty decent weapon class that gets quick move sets, nice damage, and okay stance damage. They tend to be outclassed by great hammers because great hammers end up getting higher stance damage so they can just stagger enemies quicker. They get striking damage over standard damage which striking damage tends to be a bit better. But one thing that the Rusted Anchor does get over the regular great axes is that it gets access to piercing damage. Piercing damage is the best damage type in the entire game, a lot of enemies are weak to it and not many actually resist.
Weapon Combos
Paring this alongside the spear talisman could help improve the damage even further. So the Rusted anchor has some of the highest damage potential in Elden Ring. In terms of weapon skill options, you get to go Flaming Strike and Wild Strikes.
How to Get?
You can acquire Rusted Anchor in the Weeping Peninsula at the Morne Tunnel which is going to require killing a boss but the boss itself is not going to be that challenging at all.
5. Cross Naginata
Cross Naginata is a bleed based spear that scales primarily on your dexterity stat. Typically spear weapons can be very nice because they get access to piercing types of damage. But spears will lack a lot of variety because they get nothing but poking attacks. But the Cross Naginata does get a unique move set, the light attack combo gets a nice mix-up of vertical swipes, horizontal swipes, and poking attacks. The fact that it gets access to bleed and some of the most range in its class is going to propel it to be one of the best Elden Ring best early bleed weapons 1.10.
Weapon Combos
Another good thing about spears themselves is their power stance or dual combos. Picking yourself up another spear and putting it in your left hand can be extremely powerful. One downside is that it does have higher requirements at 16 strength and 20 dexterity, so you might have to kill a couple of bosses beforehand. We recommend definitely putting on the Bloodflame Blade spell, this is going to be a nice bleed based buff. Maybe later on in the playthrough, you can use Stormcaller or Spinning Strikes once you do get access to more bleed.
How to Get?
To get Cross Naginata, it is going to be in Caelid but it is very early on at the Caelid Tunnel. You don't have to kill any bosses, all you're going to do is enter the Gael Tunnel which does require a little bit of platforming down to the bottom. If you're going to pick it up very early in the game, you might struggle a little bit. So we recommend following the path, going towards where those big Octopus are, pick up the weapon itself, and die. Because when you die, you teleport back to the original Grace of what you started.
4. Nagakiba
Nagakiba is the best Katana in in Elden Ring. Katanas are an amazing weapon class that has really quick move sets and they get access to bleed. They have good variation in the move set, a pretty decent range, nice damage, good DPS potential, and the weapon skill options are incredible. For the Nagakiba itself, this one is going to be the best in class. Because it can get some of the highest damage in some types of builds but also this gets amazing range, more range than all the other Katanas, while getting the best moveset. One downside of the Nagakiba is that it has higher requirements than the other types of katanas. It requires 18 strength and 22 dexterity so it's probably not going to be something that you can use right at the beginning until you kill a couple of bosses, so we recommend going with the Uchigatana instead.
Weapon Combos
Weapon skill we recommend is removing it all together because Unsheathe is a skill that default to the katanas and Unsheathe is incredible to have. It is very quick incredibly cheap and does really high amounts of stance damage. This is just one of the best skills in the entire game. If you're using a katana, this is going to be one of the better options.
How to Get?
Dropped by Bloody Finger Hunter Yura to the north of Murkwater Cave or in his camp near Seaside Ruins Site of Grace.
3. Greatsword
Greatsword is not a greatsword, it falls under the colossal sword category. This is a really large weapon good that has nice horizontal swipes. In terms of his move sets, it does get some nice poking attacks with the rolling and crouching attack. What makes the greatsword so good is that it's going to be the best colossal sword in the entire game. It gets the most range and it just gets the most damage and paired alongside certain types of weapon skills, this thing can trivialize the entire game. The downside to the greatsword is that it can be on the heavier side and it does have a 34 strength requirement. If you want to use a colossal sword at the beginning of the game, we recommend going with a Zweihander instead.
Weapon Combos
The best pairing for the greatsword would have to be a Lion's Claw. Lion's Claw is the easiest weapon skill to use in the entire game that has high damage, good stagger potential, and would cost many Elden Ring runes. You just never get staggered out of it.
How to Get?
To acquire the Greatsword is going to be very early on in Caelid. Follow the main path until you get to a carriage, the weapon inside of a chest.
2. Death's Poker
Death's Poker is one of the better intelligence-based weapons in Elden Ring. It is a greatsword that has a very nice move set, good damage, and good stance potential. This thing does get a unique heavy attack in some cold upward cut, also nothing too flashy but it is second best early on weapon in Elden Ring 1.10. The best thing about this weapon is going to be its skill. It is going to be a special weapon so it can't be infused, so it's just going to be stuck with this skill.
Weapon Combos
Its skill Ghostflame Ignition does summon a cool ghostflame ball that does a bunch of frost damage. Frost buildup is an amazing status effect to have, once proc, it does do a chunk of damage to the enemy and makes them take 20% more damage for the next 20 seconds. Meaning in that time, you can output even more damage, and does give you the follow up option whether you click the light or heavy attack to do a nice trail projectile or a nice AOE explosion, that trail effect is going to be the better option. It outputs more damage and that in combination with just using regular light attacks. It can just make for a very deadly combo.
How to Get?
The only unfortunate thing about this is that you have to acquire it of killing a Death Rite Bird of which these enemies are very challenging. The one you have to kill is going to be located in Caelid and it only does spawn in at night time.
1. Bloodhound's Fang
Bloodhound's Fang is a curved greatsword that has very solid move sets, is pretty quick, has nice amounts of damage, and has very good reach. The heavy attacks come out incredibly quickly and also do a high amount of stance damage. In particular, it gets the most range, gets amazing damage, and does get boosted damage on jumping attacks. This thing also can be buffed despite it being a unique weapon that cannot be infused.
Weapon Combo
It has bleed, on top of this, you can pair this alongside the Bloodflame Blade spell to further enhance the bleed. But the fact is you're getting amazing damage, amazing move set, and bleed. For a weapon that only requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade is going to be really good. As for the Bloodhound's Fang skill Bloodhound's Finess, it is a nice high damaging attack. She does get a follow-up dodge into a high damaging attack and it's very cheap. It does high stance damage and it's very easy to use too.
How to Get?
The best thing about this it is probably going to be the earliest one to acquire as well. Just south of the Agheel Lake South Grace. You go straight to the Evergaol and you kill the boss, that's inside of it.
