Blizzard has added 5 new unique Malignant Rings in Diablo IV after patch 1.2.2. With these powers one for each class to bring back some of your favorites. In our Diablo 4 Season 2 Malignant Ring build guide, we’re going to go over the best builds for each unique ring!

Diablo 4 Season 2 Best Build For Malignant Ring - Most OP Unique Ring Builds For All Classes In D4

In Diablo 4's first season, you confronted the Evoker of Varshan to obtain Malignant Hearts. You also confronted his minions and spent a lot of time farming them out in the open world but that's not going to be as important anymore. Blizzard said seasonal mechanics don't necessarily become a core part of the game, however, a lot of players liked the Malignant Hearts or at least certain Malignant powers. That's why we have the Malignant Rings! The new Malignant Rings drop off the Echo of Varshan located beneath the Tree of Whispers. They're available to both players on the Eternal Realm and those enjoying the Season of Blood. Next, let’s break down D4 Season 2 best unique ring builds for all classes!

1. D4 Best Barbarian Malignant Ring Build (Ring of Red Furor)

The Diablo 4 Season 2 Barbarian unique ring gives bonuses to Hammer of the Ancients, Upheaval, and Death Blow. It has a wide variety of uses due to being applied to death blow.

  • Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian Build

Hammer of the Ancients will probably be using this ring in most cases because it provides resource generation which you need and pretty good overall stats. Plus you're going to be cycling through fury fast enough to proc it very consistently.

  • Upheaval Barbarian Build

When it comes to upheaval and death blow, things aren't quite as clear. The way most people are building upheaval currently is a big burst of damage with overpowering and furious upheaval. Meaning you don't want to spam the skill so you're not cycling fury. This means the Red Ring of Fur is probably a poor choice. On the other hand, upheaval is interesting because it applies to a lot of different builds.

  • Other Builds

For many of the builds that already exist, it's probably not going to be a great fit. However, there are a couple of cases where it might work quite well. It could very well fit into Walking Arsenal, it's probably not going to fit into Thorns for pretty obvious reasons and there may be some interesting ways to apply it to Whirlwind.

2. D4 Best Druid Malignant Ring Build (Airidah’s Inexorable Will)

Having it pulled with this unique ring is pretty good in Diablo 4 Season 2. Though the once and then 5 seconds later second time isn't as good as the original pulled.

  • Pulverize Druid Build

For Pulverize, aspect rules are just too competitive, you're going to give up a lot of damage for clear that you probably don't need. If you want extra clear on Pulverize, go with something like Hemomancy. Hemomancy is a little bit lower opportunity cost and also gives really good value since you're already scaling life and physical damage.

  • Tornado Druid Build

The Diablo 4 S2 unique ring will work well on Tornado. You do have the damage to close which is good, you have ultimate skill cool down which is also quite good and you have up to 10.5% willpower which is cool. Having a massive willpower bonus directly translates into a damage multiplier and this isn't a stat you normally get to see on rings. Plus having everything grouped up in the tornadoes means there's more of a party.

  • Shred Druid Build

There's a good chance that Shred is going to be using the D4 Malignant Ring Season 2 as well as it benefits from grouping similarly to Tornado.

  • Stormclaw Druid Build

For Stormclaw, the discussion seemed to be a little bit more mixed. On the one hand, it can afford to drop a legendary aspect. On the other hand, the pull maybe doesn't do enough due to how far apart they are. Your Petrify cooldown's short, there's a chance that by leaning into Anticipation and Flickerstep, Stormclaw could end up with a short enough cooldown on Petrify. But it's up pretty consistently after all if a cooldown's 7 seconds, you're going to get two pulls every 7ish seconds that's pretty good. This could make Stormclaw feel a lot better to play even if the objective power level isn't that much higher.

  • Lightning Storm Druid Build

The unique Druid ring D4 Season 2 isn't going to be very good for this build.

  • Support Build

Support Druid is where things get interesting especially the upcoming Abattoir of Zir event where grouping up large amounts of enemies. Then having another build AoE them down with Upheaval Barbarian.

  • Boulder Druid

Boulder Druid is going to be something where we need more time to play and feel out. Because it could be really good, it could group everything perfectly into your line of boulders or it could group everything too close to the character. If that happens, your boulders won't do any damage, making the ring effect not only bad but outright detrimental.

3. D4 Best Druid Malignant Ring Build (Ring Of The Sacrilegious Soul)

Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul is one of the best D4 S2 unique rings in patch 1.2.2. Who knew that having a ring that played your build for you was really good? You can use the Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul in every Necro build. Hard farm for it and you'll want the three to corpse skills and it's probably going to be good enough. This is a really strong D4 item because playing the build with verse without it is going to be a night and day difference. So Necromancer players can look forward to having a lot of fun.

  • Infinimist Druid

For Infinimist Druid, you can use it alongside X’Fal’s to enable a corpse explosion black river variant or just to do a lot of automation and heavy lifting. Something important here is it has plus 3 to ranks of all corpse skills which is insane value. You're talking about reducing cooldowns and increasing damage and it even has a lucky hit which is a really important stat on a lot of Necromancer builds. The ring is excellent and well-stated overall.

  • Sever Druid

For Server, it's also a really powerful Malignant Ring in D4 Season 2 but not quite as important because you could use the Fal’s instead but it gives you resource automation and buff-up time which is always good.

  • Blood Druid Build

For Blood Lance Druid and Blood Surge Druid builds, automation's good and the pattern's going to continue here. Automation's good for every single build, realistically though quality of life is always an improvement.

4. D4 Best Rogue Malignant Ring Build (Writhing Band Of Trickery)

When it comes to the best D4 Season 2 Rogue Unique Ring build, Writhing Band of Trickery isn't looking that great. There could be some niche uses where you need to taunt a boss away from you. This could be quite good in hardcore as it will help you to survive. However, there's a pretty good chance this unique ring isn't going to see very much use, at best it's going to be a niche swap item and at worst you don't want to use it because you're giving up too much by losing that legendary aspect.

  • Trap Rogue Build

Unlike a Malignant Heart where the opportunity cost was effectively nothing because skulls had armor and then you got armor on your heart, you are giving up a whole ring with all of its stats with the legendary aspect to use one of these rising bands. In a lot of cases, it's just not worth it. Keep in mind there could be some niche cases where it's useful such as taunting things into a Trap Focused build.

5. D4 Best Sorcerer Malignant Ring Build (Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop)

Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop is one of the Diablo 4 best Season 2 Malignant Rings that you put it on every build and you're going to be getting a lot of damage bonuses. Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop has cooldown recovery, resource generation, lucky hit, nonphysical damage, and all the things that you want on a Sorc all in one big old pile and it gives you up to 15% multiplicative damage for 4 seconds. Dealing elemental damage refreshes all the bonuses so you could at the start of a dungeon. Find one way to proc a little bit of shadow damage or you could put on a Duriel that you have and proc poison damage once at the very start. Then you will have that buff-up for the entire time provided you stay in combat which is insane. Sorc builds already want to use two to three elements, this will enable some builds that just didn't quite have the damage.

  • All Sorcerer Builds

It's the best Sorcerer ring by far and goes into every build with no exceptions!
