WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5 Most Fun Melee DPS Tier List - Most Fun Melee Specs Ranked in Dragonflight 10.1.5

A fun DPS class is one that offers a diverse range of abilities and playstyles, allowing you to experiment with different strategies and approaches to combat. We've played all of the melee DPS specs so far in both 10.1 and 10.1.5 and nothing major has changed, so today we are going to take every melee, see it through the scope of our experience, rank them in terms of what we think is fun and enjoy the most. Now let's get into the most fun melee tier list & ranking in WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5.

  • S Tier (Giga Fun) - Outlaw Rogue, Enhancement Shaman, Feral Druid, Retribution Paladin, Subtlety Rogue

  • A Tier (Decently Fun) - Arms Warrior, Windwalker Monk, Fury Warrior, Havoc DH, Unholy DK

  • B Tier (Okay, Could Play It) - Frost DK

  • C Tier (Needs Some Love) - Assassin Rogue, Survival Hunter

  • D Tier (No Way)

The specs at the bottom of our Dragonflight 10.1.5 melee tier list are going to send you to sleep. The specs on the top that feel like you’re on top of the world.

Arms Warrior - A Tier

It's performing very well, but we're not really looking at performance currently, although we do understand for a lot of people fun equals being at top of meters, we don't deny that. However, we like to look more a little bit onto how the spec works, what type of builds does it offer is it like versatile in terms of its offerings like could you be able to like experiment or go into a semi-single target, some multi-target. So for sure, the flexibility in the build is one thing, but also how it performs mechanically. You better enjoy swinging your stuff with an Arms Warrior, with Dragonflight with the new systems of the talent, and everything is going really well. This new tier set is good, it's really fun. Last year's had also made you use cleave, now you can go ahead and not use cleave, but it does have some interesting implications in the rotation. You can go really deep into the fantasy of fitting very large mortal strikes and very large executes. This is when you're in a way you spin a win, so it has always been really fun.

Assassin Rogue - C Tier

The total rework for the Rogue specs which has been confirmed to be probably coming in 10.1.7, so we're not going to see it in 10.1.5. However, we're going to look at how the spec is performing in terms of fun mechanically and automatically as well. So Assassination does deliver on the fantasy, you do have a lot of bleeds, poisons, it's really simple and satisfying in single target, as always it tends to be more complicated which doesn't necessarily mean that it's not fun in AOE. It's not a dull spec by any means and it's not like the worst case, it delivers in a lot of avenues. We're again not looking at performance all the way, but when you do put in that large amount of effort and management and AOE, you do want some compensation to be reflected somewhere. So in this consideration, we are going to take put Assassination in C tier.

Outlaw Rogue - S Tier

Outlaw is a giga fun melee spec in 10.1.5, not looking at performance, but the way the spec feels once you get the hang of it. The mechanics of it, all of the amount of options you have and the fact that you always have something to press and when you press it, it feels impactful, the fact that you always have some sort of RNG, little mini game over there with the roll the bones, but there are a lot of ways to maintain a decent Rogue. On top of that, there's the whole cooldown reduction, always having some big stuff to do, the fact that the rotation isn't changing almost at all in terms of AOE and single target, it's just very bombastic, very dynamic, it's just pure gigafun spec to play.

Survival Hunter - C Tier

It's a similar discussion to Assassination as well, this spec could need a little bit more love. As opposed to Assassination, it's seemingly performing way better in terms of the actual output into the game, both raids and Mythic+, that's something that has it going for it because you kind of have to be able to also do a little bit of more damage. But in terms of actual design and rotation, it feels like they're just always doubling down on the bombs, which is particularly boring considering that they're not taking while for Infusion and making it a neat rotation implication where you can choose and your bombs matter. It has some cool potential to get some interesting gameplays with it being similar to Outlaw or your middle range, you have malleabilities but you also have some of them at range, you can use that effect to a more flexible play style where you can dodge pools of fire and still fire at the boss, but it definitely needs a lot more help, so put it around next to Assassination.

Enhancement Shaman - S Tier

This is a versatile spec that blends melee combat with the raw power of the elements. As an Enhancement Shaman, players summon lightning bolts, imbue their weapons with elemental forces, and unleash a storm of attacks upon their adversaries. The dynamic nature of the spec, with its emphasis on watching for procs and utilizing totems for added effects, provides an electric and engaging melee experience that is sure to keep players entertained. Also, you have a lot of build variety which is something that not a lot of melee specs have, we would put it into S tier.

Feral Druid - S Tier

Putting this into giga fun because this spec has been progressing and evolving into something really cool and awesome. They're doing really well with Feral in Dragonflight and it's definitely in terms of design although the numbers could be bumped up a little bit, everything that Feral did well when it swapped its way of dealing AOE, has set the standard for a lot of the spec reworks for a lot of the DPS specs. So it's a really good example, it's just missing a little bit of tuning and maybe on a more interesting tier set, but outside of that Feral has been really fun. This could be a top performer in the game.

Frost DK - B Tier

Frost Death Knight is decent, it's similar to Feral in a way where a lot of its mechanics have been improved upon and made in such a way where you can play stuff that you've been wanting to play for instance like ice cap and obliteration, which they have been opposing talents for years and years and having a more fun obliteration added and made making players able to play both talents has proved to be an actual good build, which is basically what people are playing right now. not to mention that It's kind of outperforming unholy in a lot of areas of the game which is hilarious because we've been memeing about Frost being a breath for a long time and even with breath although a lot of people hate it just because they've been playing it for years and nothing, but breath for somebody who hasn't played Frost is a really fun mechanic. We'll definitely give it an okay.

Fury Warrior - A Tier

The Fury Warrior spec in WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5 offers an incredibly fun and engaging melee experience. With their dual-wielding frenzy, overwhelming attacks, and unique mechanics, Fury Warriors embody the thrill of raw, unbridled power. If you're seeking an exciting and fast-paced melee DPS playstyle, the Fury Warrior is an excellent choice that is sure to keep you entertained throughout your adventures in Azeroth.

Havoc DH - A Tier

It’s going to be a tough one to rank because on one hand, a lot of people enjoyed the previous play style, some other people enjoyed the more in-depth mechanics, Havoc right now the only thing that's holding it back is severe performance issues, it's not quite that feral level even if we ignored the output. Aside we ignore, it's just lacking a little bit in town diversity from what we've been able to see and play throughout Dragonflight. We'll probably put it into decently fun, it's incomparable with any other DPS, it's the most mobile, the most fast-paced, the most all over the place, is not something that you can find on other melodies.

Retribution Paladin - S Tier

It's a definitely deserved spot, this DPS is really good, there's very little you can talk about Ret Paladins in terms of fun and not achieve it. The rework basically covered all the aspects that felt either lacking or incomplete or just like a hurdle to work with or it's not as complicated as it was in the past, it's not the easiest pick around, but it's definitely entry level for everybody and everybody will have fun playing it. Ret Paladin is supposed to be one of the toughest warriors on the battlefield.

Subtlety Rogue - S Tier

It has become a little bit more complex and a little bit harder to understand in terms of its rotation, this is due to its new tier set and the fact that you go now and once again with flagellation and there are a couple of like getting used to openers and priorities. But once you get past that, the fluidity, the smoothness, the way you deliver everything within the Subtlety Rogue is just like no other spec. It's like a main Paladin and Rogue player, it's very hard to put aside the fantasy and the dynamicness and the bombastic feeling from alpha with the smoothness and the fluidity of Subtlety and always having something powerful there like this is the thing about Subtlety, you have very fast access to burst regardless if it's single target or AOE performance aside, it's very fun performance, you can just admit it to yourself that shadow technique is the coolest finisher in the game.

Unholy DK - A Tier

Then the Unholy DK, we'll probably put it between decently fun and okay, it still retains a lot of its build diversity and tools you can use to make the best out of any scenario possible, it has its own team.

Windwalker Monk - A Tier

Closing our ultimate Dragonflight 10.1.5 most fun melee ranking list is the Windwalker Monk, masters of martial arts and spiritual harmony. Windwalker Monks embody the fluidity of combat, delivering a seamless combination of melee strikes and mystical abilities. Their resource system, Chi, adds an additional layer of complexity, allowing players to unleash devastating finishing moves and maintain a steady rhythm in their attacks. The fast-paced nature of Windwalker Monk gameplay provides a satisfying and dynamic experience, making them an enjoyable choice for those seeking a balanced melee class. It is always a fun spec to get into and always delivered on the fun compo.
