We go over the top 5 Game Changing Nerfs in Crucible League. Crucible league introduces a lot of player power with a new weapon passive tree.
Top 5: No More Books of Regression
-This means Infinite Heist is now dead.
-Infinite Heist required you to use a book of Regression to de-level yourself, so you can keep buying contracts from Whakano.
-Common early game strategy for players to gain poe currency from Chaos Recipe, Raw Currency, Rogue Markers, and Uniques.
-Books of Regression also makes it so you cannot farm Foothills infinitely for Betrayal Crafts and Safehouses.
Top 4: Devouring Diadem
-This helmet was used by a variety of builds that tried to fit more Auras.
-Previously, you could farm this item in the Campaign in Foothills, allowing you to get your endgame helmet before maps.
-Item may be level gated to only 83 Catarina.
-Drop Rate probably got changed to be much lower than before.
-This is a great nerf that creates another chase item instead of just gutting the item.
Top 3: Infinite Sextant Strategy
-GGG made it so that the Harvest Craft only grants a 50% Chance for the map to not consume sextants.
-Winged Scarab Sextant reached 80 Divines last league.
-People loved this strategy because you could customize what you wanted to farm without any interaction from trade site. Players paired this with Expedition, Conqueror Maps, Harvest, etc.
-Winged Scarab and Harvest Juice will probably cost more.
Top 2: Masteries
-GGG utilized a mastery rework to nerf some of the most powerful archetypes.
-Poison builds lost 20% effect of white, chaos dot multi per chaos res, and 20% poison duration.
-Non-Crit lightning builds lost lucky lightning damage and chain.
-Spell suppression lost critical strike chance increased by spell suppression %.
-Auras lost reservation efficiency mastery (most noticeable nerf on flat auras).
-Element lost +15% to all Elemental Resistances and 40% increased effect of non-damaging ailments.
-Fire lost +20% fire damage over time multiplier.
-Flasks lost Utility Flasks gain 1 charge every 3 seconds.
Top 1: Early Game Leveling/Skill Nerfs
-Seismic trap has been gutted to the ground indirectly through nerfs to Saboteur and Poison/Chaos Masteries.
-Poisonous Concoction got gutted as it requires 1 charge per projectile fired from 1 life flask.
-Splitting steel, shattering steel, Explosive tarps, and spark have been nerfed early game.
-Onslaught gem removed.
-Wand recipe craft removed.
Final Tips
-Even with these nerfs, players will be much stronger with the weapon/shield passive trees.
-Early game leveling nerfs are a headscratcher.
-Interesting way of nerfing strong archetypes by nerfing masteries.
-No more Seismic trap finally.
-Heatshiver escaped the nerfs, but its rarity could be adjusted.
