Venom Gyre was one of the most popular league starters in Sanctum, however, a lot of people complained that it was bad for the league mechanic. Venom Gyre received some huge buffs that will make early game leveling and late game much better. We go over Venom Gyre in 3.21 and how all the changes affect this quintessential league starter.
Adrenaline
-Adrenaline is a buff that grants 100% increased damage, 25% increased attack, cast, and movement speed, and 10% additional physical damage reduction.
-With the new tech in stance swapping, venom gyre builds can easily get permanent Adrenaline and Onslaught.
Leveling
-Leveling has changed a lot as the go-to of Poisonous Concoction got obliterated in the Patch.
-Tested put Bow Leveling: early sniper’s mark, rain of arrows with point blank, near identical early game tree.
-Can swap to Venom Gyre after 1st, 2nd, 3rd lab.
-Incentive to level as Dual Wield.
Passive Tree and Masteries Changes
-Passive Tree now grants you +1 Projectile.
-May have to take Mana and Mana Mastery in order to fit Auras.
-Claws have new Dual Wield Mastery that make dual wielding more appealing.
-Loss of Elemental Mastery (40% effect of non-damaging) makes it harder to use secrets of suffering.
-Spell suppression mastery: lost of 100% critical strike chance but easier to get high spell suppression.
-Attack mastery grants permanent adrenaline with stance swapping.
-Life mastery is a loss of 10% life for one point.
Pathfinder Forbidden Jewel
-Being able to steal master surgeon addresses one of the biggest weaknesses of this build.
-You are able to a life flask running constantly as your life flask effects never run out.
Final Tips
-Leveling will be different without Poisonous Concoction, but it should be a smoother experience and transition.
-Potential for dual wielding depends on the Crucible weapon passive tress.
-Recovery can be fixed with pathfinder forbidden jewel.
-Permanent Berserk Setup is still the way to go.
