Diablo 3 How to Speed Level 1-70 in Season 28 | Diablo 3 Fast Leveling Guide 1-70

2/23/2023 5:15:04 PM

In this Diablo 3 season 28 speed leveling guide, we'll cover the fastest way to go from level 1 to 70 in season 28 without getting power leveled by someone else. Season 28 begins on February 24th introducing the altar of Rights, this provides some absolutely massive buffs to early leveling. Using the altar you'll have the easiest fastest journey to level 70 than ever before.

Diablo 3 How to Speed Level 1-70 in Season 28 - Diablo 3 Fast Leveling Guide 1-70

Here are the fastest ways how to speed level 1-70 in Season 28 Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls. Solo and group, on PC and console (Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch).

#1. Leveling from Diablo 3 Altar of Rites

It's a new progression tree that you'll complete throughout the season by farming specific requirements and gaining specific buffs in return. The first two seals you'll want to unlock on the tree are game changing for speed leveling, the first seal gateway can be unlocked at level 1. What this seal does is it doubles the duration of your kill streak timer, allowing you to keep up your massacre bonuses for longer and it also doubles the XP rewards for massacre bonuses. We recommend massacre bonus leveling to everyone since this is technically the fastest way to level from 1 to 70 in Diablo 3 season 28. With a timer duration doubled, it's so much easier to keep up your massacre bonus, making this method more accessible to everyone. This is the best 1-70 leveling method for season 28 Diablo 3.

What does massacre bonus leveling entail?

Go to a zone with high monster density, you start killing monsters and after killing about 15 in rapid enough succession, your kill streak begins. You'll see a little rope burning down and you'll want to keep refreshing that rope by hitting monsters. You only need to hit a monster to refresh the Rope once it's going. So sometimes you may even want to keep an enemy alive to be able to toss a weak ranged attack against them, as you're moving through an empty area. The best place to level up using this method is the Temple of the Firstborn in act 2. There are so many little beetles that are going to show up in these tight corridors, you can rack up the kill count really high, really fast. So you just run this zone, leave the game, remake it, run the zone again. This is if you're playing solo. If you're in a group, it's going to be tough to maintain your massacre bonuses without a super well coordinated group. Because if an enemy dies before you hit it, it won't count towards your kill streak, so you need to ensure everyone in your group is tagging all the enemies. So if you are not capable of that level of coordination, going with cursed chest leveling, still very strong, very fast and you're going to do this via cursed chest bounties.

Chests specifically will spawn hundreds of enemies at a pace that lets you maintain a nice kill streak, all while you sit in one place or move around a small area. This makes it very easy for your full group to tag most of the enemies and maintain their kill streaks. What you want to do is have everyone in your party split up and make their own game. When you each load in game, you bring up the map and you're looking for a cursed chest bounty, see if that spawned. The first person to find a cursed chest bounty then invites everyone to their game. Just go and run the cursed chest together and repeat. Both curse chest and cursed shrines show up with similar names and cursed shrine bounties are not worth doing. Also some cursed chests are more difficult to get to than others. Here’s a specific list of cursed chest that you're looking for (group leveling only).

Act 1:

The Cursed Cellar - The Old Ruins

The Cursed Court - Cathedral Level 2

The Cursed Bellows - Halls of Agony Level 3

Act 2:

The Cursed Pit - Archives of Zoltun Kulle

The Cursed Spire - Archives of Zoltun Kulle

The Cursed Moors - Shrouded Moors

The Cursed Temple - Temple of the Firstborn

Act 3:

The Cursed Garrison - The Battlefields

The Cursed Bailey - The Ruins of Sescheron

Act 4:

None

Act 5:

The Cursed Peat - Paths of the Drowned

Regardless of your method what difficulty do you run on, the highest you can handle without struggling. If you're dying or losing your massacre bonus, drop the difficulty. This does mean you'll likely change difficulty throughout your 1 to 70 journey depending on when you get good items or as your items become obsolete. As you're nearing 70, you're going to be dropping down that difficulty.

#2. Diablo III 1-70 Speed Leveling from Build Main SKills

What will your build look like while leveling? What skill are you going to use? Because not all skills are created equal for massacre bonus leveling. First off, if you get any items that give big damage multipliers to a skill, you definitely want to work that skill into your build and ideally build around it. Otherwise, if you're unlucky and don't have damage boosting legendaries, then here are the skills you'll want to use for damage.

- Barbarian: Rend

- Crusader: Sweep Attack, First of the Heavens

- Demon Hunter: Chakram

- Monk: Exploding Palm

- Necromancer: Corpse Explosion, Skeletal Mage

- Witch Doctor: Haunt

- Wizard: Hydra, Disintegrate

#3. Diablo 3 Season 28 Leveling Guide with Challenge Rift Cache

Doing the Challenge Rift after the season starts, do not complete this week's Challenge Rift before the season starts otherwise you cannot open the reward on a new season character. So wait for season to start, do the Challenge Rift, then you can open that challenge with bag to get a bunch of goodies, blood shards and crafting materials and gold that you'll use to get yourself some nice gear to speed up your leveling process in Diablo 3 season 28. Ever since we got a challenge with casualties have been a tremendous boon to the 1-70 leveling process. However this season with the Altar of Rites in order to unlock your 15th seal on the altar, you need to sacrifice an unopened Challenge Rift Cache. So a lot of people have been asking whether they should save their Cache this season, so that they can instead spend it on the altar to unlock the 15th seal.

The season starts on Friday night and the challenge Rift resets on Monday afternoon, meaning you're going to get your second challenge Rift on Monday afternoon. So unless you're a top 1% player who's trying to top the leaderboards early on in the weekend, you're putting in 20 hours serious efficient gameplay before Monday rolls around, if you're not in that category, you're better off not saving the challenge with Cache. Just use it, by opening the Cache and using its contents and following this D3 speed leveling guide 2023, you can hit level 70 in under an hour in Diablo 3 season 28.

#4. Diablo 3 Gambling Guide Season 28 for 1-70 Leveling

When you gamble blood shards at Kadala on a level 1 character, the pool of possible legendary items you can get is heavily reduced. In fact, there's often only a couple options you can get per item slot. So for each class, this is how you want to gamble your blood shards. These are both materials that'll help you level from 1 to 70 easily in Diablo 3 season 28.

- Barbarian Gamble: Bracers (Bracers of Destruction and Bracers of the First Men) or Rings (Band of Might)

- Crusader Gamble: Bracers (Gabriel's Vambraces) or Shields (Guard of Johanna and Denial)

- Demon Hunter Gamble: Bracers (Wraps of Clarity) or Helms (Leoric's Crown) or Quivers at level 31 (Holy Point Shot, especially if you upgraded into Karlei's Point) or at level 34 (The Ninth Cirri Satchel)

- Monk Gamble: Bracers (Gungdo Gear, Cesar's Memento and Pinto's Pride) or Boots (The Crudest Boots and Rivera Dancers)

- Necromancer Gamble: Gloves (Grasps of Essence) or Rings (Circle of Nailuj's Evol, especially if you upgraded into Reilena's Shadowhook)

- Witch Doctor Gamble: Mojos (Gazing Demise, especially if you upgraded into The Barber)

- Wizard Gamble: Offhands at level 1 (Winter Flurry) or at level 33 (Etched Sigil)

#5. D3 Crafted Legendary Guide for Speed Leveling

With all the materials you got from the Challenge Rift Cache, you'll also have enough to use the Kanai's Cube recipe to upgrade a level 70 yellow into a legendary. But you'll only have enough materials for a single one and you aren't guaranteed to get a good one. So here is your best bet on what to upgrade for each class.

- Barbarian: Bastion’s Revered, Blade of the Tribes, Fury of the Vanished Peak, the Gavel of Judgment

- Crusader: Darklight, Gyrfalcon’s Foote, Johanna’s Argument

- Demon Hunter: Lord Greenstone’s Fan, Karlei’s Point

- Monk: Balance, Incense Torch of the Grand Temple, Flying Dragon, The Flow of Eternity

- Necromancer: Bloodtide Blade, Reilena’s Shadowhook, Nayr’s Black Death, Maltorius’ Petrified Spike

- Witch Doctor: Scrimshaw

- Wizard: Fragment of Destiny, Wand of Who, Unstable Scepter, Serpent’s Sparker

In a normal season, if you got a good item, you would extract it into the cube after upgrading it since we can't equip level 70 items, so you benefit from it by equipping it as a passive cube power. However, in season 28, you will be able to equip level 70 items thanks to the second seal you'll unlock on the Altar of Rites. The anointed seal removes all level requirements from all items. And you can unlock this seal by level 18. So by level 18, you can be equipping your level 70 legendary item, plus you can craft yourself a set of rare level 70 gear to wear as well. At this point, you are instantly viable for destroying torment 6 difficulty. Everything becomes trivial, you do the massacre leveling in your insane level 70 gear, you destroy everything and you level up faster than ever. All you have to do is get that second seal unlocked.

#6. Diablo 3 Alter of Rites Seal Unlocking Guide - How To Unlock Alter Seals

How do we unlock the first two seals as quickly as possible? First off, in New Tristram is where you find the altar of rites, it's act 1, it's to the left and there is a little nook. You open it up and to unlock the first seal, all you need is 10 reusable parts. The challenge with bag gave us a few hundred of those. So you've unlocked the first seal at level 1 immediately. To unlock the second seal, you need 20 reusable parts, 15 arcane dust, and then 2 flawless diamond or greater. Gems only start dropping once you reach level 18. Farm for gems as quickly as possible without relying on randomness and finding a gem goblin or a portal to whimsydale. Starting at level 18, you keep remaking your game until you see the Zoltun Kulle or Maghda boss bounty spawn. When you kill a boss and a boss bounty, a chest opens up, gems will fall out. and Maghda and Zoltun Kulle are fast and easy bounties to run with straightforward paths. So run these over and over until you get 2 diamonds. Then upgrade those two diamonds at the Jeweler to get your flawless diamond. Then go to the altar and unlock your second seal and then it's easy mode to level 70. You're not going to lock anything else on the altar before you reach 70, just focus on getting those Massacre bonuses and obliterating your way to 70.

How to Get to Level 18 as Quickly as Possible in Diablo 3?

- 1. Once the season starts and you’ve done your challenge rift, then you create a Necromancer.

- 2. Load into the game on master difficulty, unless you're playing hardcore, then you can do hard difficulty.

- 3. Open your challenge drift cache, grab all the drops, equip Templar's weapon, go to the Act 1 vendor near the followers, buy the best D2R unique wands he offers, plus all the armor he's selling. Go to the Blacksmith and salvage all the white items that you got.

- 4. Upgrade your Blacksmith to level 12

- 5. Craft a level 5 blue axe, a level 10 blue dagger, a level 15 yellow two-handed sword and a level 19 yellow two-handed magic sword in Diablo 2 Resurrected. Then also craft the highest level blue armor piece for every gear slot that you're able to equip that is under level 11.

- 6. Then go to the Altar of Rites and unlock your first seal.

- 7. Open your map and take the waypoint to the Ruins of Sescheron in Act 3.

- 8. Blast your way to the Elder Sanctum, keeping up the Massacre streak as much as possible. After level 4, focus on Corpse Explosion for maximum damage.

- 9. In the Elder Sanctum, re-assign your skills and runes. Again focus on Corpse Explosion and add Skeletal Mage to the mix.

- 10.Try to keep a massive Massacre streak all the way through the Elder Sanctum to hit level 18 at the end. Very often there's also a Cursed Chest that can help you with that.

- 11.If you are not level 18 by the time you found Kanai's Cube, then go to the Temple of the Firstborn and run that until you hit 18.

- 12.Once you reach level 18, reduce game difficulty to normal and restart the game until you have Zoltun Kulle/Maghda bounties. Complete these until you have 2x Diamond.

- 13.Upgrade the gems in 1x Flawless Diamond, then unlock Anointed in the Altar.

- 14.Craft 1 of each level 70 item from the Blacksmith for every slot, starting with a Two-Handed weapon, Helm and Boots.

- 15.Start blasting Massacre bonuses in Temple of the Firstborn on T6, reduce difficulty as you go.
