Trap Assassin mainly relies on the attack skills Lightning Sentry or Death Sentry to kill lightning-immune monsters, she will use various ranged abilities to stay out of harm's way while her traps do their damage. The gameplay is laid back, as the traps will deal with the monsters on their own after they are dropped. Overall, Trapsin is a powerful and versatile build that offers excellent survivability, damage, and utility. So now that enemy lightning resist applies to the traps, the new build here is using Infinity in a brandistock, because it is the fastest weapon, it's basically having 20% increased attack speed because it has -20 for the speed. This one rolled -50 to enemy lightning resistance which is good, and another benefit to wearing or holding Infinity is the 35% faster run walk. So along with versus speed, enigma and faster run walk on the boots, you're running pretty fast, you have over 100 faster run walks. So it's cool to be able to run around and that's the style of gameplay. Cast stuff and run around and loot things, so this certainly fits style.

Face Vs Burst of Speed

So if you want to go with survivability, fade will max out and give you better damage reduction. But run speed is not great, trap speed is a little low, but you can certainly use this in certain cases where you're feeling danger like if there's souls, you might want to use it to teleport around or if you're going to do Ubers or something like that, you could use it. But you could have them both, so you can easily swap, so you can lay traps and then switch to fade.

+ Awesome Lightning Damage output

+ Very fast run speed and mobility, especially if you can also teleport via an Enigma.

+ Can quickly solo the whole game in top-tier D2R items.

+ Solo Baal or Chaos runs are doable within 4 minutes.

+ Great for Magic Find at any area.

+ Mob clearspeed is amongst the best.

- Not a good fit for Hardcore as it’s survivability is not that great.

- Not an effective ladder starter as good gear is quite expensive.

- Uber Tristram is problematic.

- Mana potions are required.
