1. Lenne's Rise (Ball Farm)

The first rune farming spot is Lenne's Rise, it's located in northeastern Caelid at the base of a peninsula, if you're starting Elden Ring for the first time, this location is extremely easy to get to. All that's required to pull off this method is to hop on torrent and race down the hill until a magical ball of death spawns, all you'll need to do is use your fast and furious torrent skills to slide out of the way and turn the camera to observe the ball falling off the ledge, if done successfully, you'll get a handful of Elden Ring runes, then ride back and rest at the Site of Grace to reset the conditions or fast travel if you have a fast load time. The ball farm near Lenne's Rise can be done at any point by players of any level. 

2. Greyoll's Dragonbarrow (Dragon Farm)

The next location for the rune farm is Fort Faroth, which is located in Greyoll's Dragonbarrow, the northeastern subregion of Caelid, the run to this location can be started after taking the Spirit Spring, this method is good because it is super simple and can yield a boatload of runes early on with zero risk of death. You need a weapon that can inflict bleeds, make sure you plus up on your ADHD meds while the payout does take a minute or two, 50 000 runes for hacking the tail of a dragon that doesn't even fight back as a win. The trick here is hopping on torrent the second this slumbering beast dies and riding with all haste to the Site of Grace in order to rest at it, if done correctly, once you stand up and turn around you should have 50 000 runes banked and the dragon should still be alive to kill, once again if you think you may mess this one up make sure to upload all of your save data to the cloud before the attempt. 

3. Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance (Mohgwyn Palace Tree Jump)

The Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance area for rune farm is within Mohgwyn Palace, which is well known for being one of the most exploitable spots, this location can be reached fairly easily by completing the White-Faced Varre Questline or later on in the game when you make it to the consecrated snow fields. You’ll be starting out at the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum Site of Grace, rune starts by hopping off the nearby ledge, which will make Torrent available to answer your summon. Once you summon him, you'll ride northwest until you spot a giant tree with large roots extended out of the ground, you'll have to go right up those roots and jump towards a ledge, that's jutting out of the cliff face, after landing on the ledge, you'll just continue to jump until you find yourself on top of the landscape, there is a dark gray rock that's sticking out a bit from a small alcove, from there, all you have to do is jump torn out as far as you can and continuously swing your sword for a couple of minutes until you're magically graced with 173,000 free runes, after snatch matching up all the runes, you can pop your map back open and fast travel to the Site of Grace to repeat the process.

4. Palace Approach Ledge-Road (Mohgwyn Palace Bird Farm)

The next rune farming spot is located at the Palace Approach Ledge-Road, one of many Sites of Grace in Elden Ring, it is the players’ first stop in the Mohgwyn Palace. This one is still not patched in 2023 and likely will never be patched. This simple method consists of shooting a bird across the way, having it fall off the ledge, and rinsing and repeating until you have met your desired end state with the Golden Scarab and Pickled Fowl Foot running, you can plan to take in about 20,000 runes every few seconds. After you shoot the bird, there are quite a few Elden Ring weapons you can pick up, so you can also do a hill farm for millions of runes within the Mohgwyn Palace.

5. Ordina, Liturgical Town (Jump Glitch)

Moving on to another rune farm glitch still works after Patch 1.08, this one requires you to go to a later game area known as the Consecrated Snowfield, you’ll be starting from the Ordina Liturgical Town, there is a candle puzzle that you'll have to complete in order to open up the portal to the Miquella's Haligtree, and more importantly to the spot that you'll be jumping from. All you need to do is ride a short distance from the Site of Grace and double jump torrent out to the great beyond and repeatedly swing your sword for a couple of minutes until you receive a ton of runes. Within the Consecrated Snowfield, there is another location called Yelough Anix Tunnel, where you don’t have to complete a puzzle.
