POE 3.20 Gauntlet Prep Build - Is Sunder the New Spectral Helix for Gauntlet Leveling

2/6/2023 11:58:38 AM

We go over my experiences with Sunder in this new series, featuring my Gauntlet Practice. Going to play Juggernaut SRS because of its defensive prowess and high single target damage, tested leveling throughout First Part of Campaign with Sunder, will swap to Boneshatter when we get to Foothills.

Campaign Leveling

-Mule Duelist to Tidal Island in order to get 2 Quicksilver Flasks, Onslaught, and Splitting Steel.

-Switch to Sunder at level 12 and link to Chance to Bleed.

-Ended up picking up Stun Immonity with Unstoppable as our first point.

-Auras: Herald of Ash, Determination, War Banner.

-Links: Sunder - Close Combat - Fisrt of War/Brutality - Fortify.

-Aim for around 300 to 400 HP per Act in order to be safe.

So for the campaign level, you want to mule a duelist to title Island now, the reason you want to go to title islet is because you want to get two quick silver Flats, you want on slot, and you want splitting steel, now Marauder does not get splitting steel, splitting steel is pretty much how you do the First Act of the campaign, now if you actually look here, we actually prepped a little bit of the boss footage for you guys to see what it actually looks like so this is Marvel, usually you should probably swap to Sender at level 12 and that means you could do marble asunder which will be better, we're using splitting steel still, and it's kind of a struggle, you can actually use shattering steel too, but I'm not sure if you get shattering steel as a Marauder, but as you can see here, the main thing you want to use is chance to bleed and Onslaught on splitting steel or Sunder, now the reason you want to use chance to bleed is actually does a great amount of damage, especially when the boss is moving around, so basically you just get a cold reg, you run around circles, and it is not too bad and then at level 12, you swap the Sunder and what Sunder ends up looking like and this is all one of the hardest fights in the gauntlet in my opinion for lovely, and it's actually just a nightmare this is actually two additional projectiles which is probably a little bit more than you'll be used to, and in our opinion or despite usually just  Frost Blake, through the Bob once they're about to  shoot some balls at you, so you can see with chance to bleed, we do think we still have a chance to bleed the boss runs around you can see the red blood effects right so he kind of hurts himself kind of a scary fight, but on the actual Gauntlet League, it won't be as bad, because there's scaly mods, so the boss will only have one projectile, and with only one projectile, it's kind of hard to die, so we got some damage, because he's attacking the totem we dashed through him, but this boss is probably the number one killer of people in the previous gauntlets purely because of how punishing it is and its potential to one shot, so for the first ascendancy a lot of people ask me where do you actually go, for it, we go for Unstoppable because it gives you stunt immunity it makes it so you can't get slow that much, and it also gives you 10 movement speed and movement speed is King for lovely, to auras we end up running our hero bash determination War banner and then later on you want to swap it out, so you run hero to Purity, so you could run brutality if you want to and for the leaks for Sunday I'm running Thunder, close combat four to five fists of War, fists of war is really good, especially for lovely gives you more AOE, and it makes it so that one attack that you put out with one shot, and like all totem builds, it'll be multi-totem and Ancestral Warchielf and Central protector blood rage if it's possible you want to try to give ball multi-shell and ball and sexual war chief as fast as possible, and leap slam should be linked to faster attacks, and you could try to fit in a blood in the sand blood and sand will give you more area damage which should help out Sunday, and it's  so you take some Oreo's now, for the passing of the tree, you do want to go out this way you want to start using axes right away, you want to get Resolute technique otherwise, you'll have some accuracy issues, then you pack down here and you go down this way and we did take the two Hand master three, and this gives you some leech a little bit, and you go over here, we think attack speed is probably one of the main problems with the build, so you want to try to get attack speed as fast as possible, so we will Destroyer gives you a little bit of attack speed are if the Gladiator is a little bit of attack speed and verse, but you could go down here Hatchet Master also gives you some attack speed, and this also allows you to drop close combat for Onslaught which should help out a little bit, like we said before Sunder close combat fist of War slash brutality and four to five fortify is a no-brainer because we want to live and we don't want to die and fortify is at a 20 damage reduction now you want to aim for around three to 400 HP per act in order to be saved, so that means when you're in act four, so we've been act four, we have 1500 HP, so we're around that threshold and we're in Act five you want to have like, so what's it called like 1.6 to 2K if you want to be really safe and that's pretty much how it goes.

Sanctum Problem

-Sanctum feels awful to do as melee, especially with low attack speed and the mobs being hasted.

-You have to do Sanctum early in order to get Relics, which will make the runs a lot easier.

-Strategy seems to be put 2 Totems down and make sure to always move between every attack.

-Frostblink help a lot due to the instantaneous nature of the dodging.

-Having excessive damage and Relics should still make the Sanctum trivial.

Dangers of Leveling

-The practice league is a lot harder than Gauntlet for leveling because the Gauntlet has scaling mods.

-Most people die to getting shotgunned, but now there is only 1 projectile for the campaign.

-Juggernaut feels a little dangerous running through some acts when you have no Evasion and low Armour.

-Stun Immunity is a complete lifesaver.

-Make sure to cap resists ASAP.

Final Tips to Get More POE Currency

-This gauntlet will take a longer to clear due to how you have to almost gear up 2 builds.

-Seen some people practicing Spark to gear up SRS because of how painful Sanctum is early on.

-Sunder has been a welcome surprise and may be the new Spectral Helix.
