It is time for some path of exile discussion, grinding gear games today announced the November event details, the Mayhem event which is going to be the first of these events running from the 4th of November to the 14th of November.
A few tips and some suggestions as to builds, you might want to play, these are not going to be full build guides instead, they're just going to be some ideas of the key interactions builds are based around.
Path Of Exile November Events - 9 Builds & Atlas Plans Changes
1. Path Of Exile - Play This Event
You should play this event, only if
You want a bit of Mayhem in your life and your game.
And you're done with Kalandra league.
Don't play it 'just for the prizes'. only if it looks fun.
There are always people who say to play this event, except the prizes for hitting level 50 are not very good, you should play it, only if it's going to be fun and just completely ignore the fact that the prizes exist except for that is if you're someone that's super competitive and you're going to try to be first to hit level 100 or something like that in which case, then your fun is the competitive side.
2. Path Of Exile - How Mayhem Mods Work In The Event
There are eight types of Mayhem in this event:
● Each zone is going to have two difficulty mods, plus one mayhem mod.
● These change hourly, on the hour.
● So if you open a Port map at 1:41 am and it has 10 Breaches, another Port opened at 1:53 am will also have 10 Breaches- but a Strand opened at1:57 am or a Port opened at 2:01 am might not.

+ 20 Strongboxes
+20 Invasion Bosses
+ 10 Breaches
+20 Harbingers
+20 Tormented Spirits
Has a Delirium mirror
Monsters killed summon Scourge/Beyond monsters
3. Path Of Exile - Which Are The Best Mayhem Mods & The Most Dangerous
Now it's worth saying that these mods are not equal to each other and pointing out the key difference here, so two of these are a bit slower than the rest this is breaches and harbingers.
These are going to take a fair bit of time, to kill everything and most players are not going to kill everything, they're just going to kill what has already spawned, of course, if you would rather kill everything, then go ahead and do, so the next one that needs to be pointed out is the super dangerous one plus 20 tormented Spirits. This is going to obliterate people in hardcore and the softcore version of the events, this is going to result in much death and destruction tormented Spirits are easy to underestimate because it's so easy to kill them when they're not in a rare monster.
4. Path Of Exile - Atlas Strategies & Favorite Map Suggestions
Favorite Map + Atlas Strategy
● The 3.17 to 3.19 era Atlas rewards specialization.
● Pick a couple of mechanics and spec hard into them.
● If in doubt, Expedition, Strongboxes, Essences.
● You won't get to use Favorite Maps for a while.
● if/when you do, favorite 3 or 4 different maps. That way even if one or two of them have awful hourly mods, you can jump into another map tileset.
●Optional: Take all Strongbox nodes, take Shadow Shaping, then run maps that are known to have strongboxes in them.
● Optional: Take Seance, Unrelenting Torment, Exiled Will and chase the zones with Rogue Exiles.
5. Path Of Exile - Super Deadly Atlas Optional Setup For Maximum Silliness - Torment & Rogue Exiles
The other optional setup and this is really really dangerous this is softcore only and even in softcore, this is going to get you uh splattered a lot of times take Seance unrelenting torment exiled will be exiled well being the thing that makes all Rogue Exiles be ghosted unrelenting torment causes a more multiplier to the amount of Path Of Exile items that are dropped by ghosts of monsters and Seance causes a bunch of rare monsters on your map to also gain a ghost in them, and then you want to trace the zones that have Rogue Exiles in them when you're doing this you will be a massive source of unique items because all the Rogue excels you kill will have a huge boost to their amount of quantity and Rarity by being affected by a tormented spirit, and then unrelenting torment is going to scale that Seance is going to scale up for a bunch of the rare monsters as well, all these will have a lot of synergy with each other, but just be aware that this is super Rippy, this is not something to do, if you're intending to gain even one more level in the event, because once you set up your Atlas that way you're probably going to be dying every second map.
6. Path Of Exile - How It Changes Builds - Prioritize Burst Damage, Defense, and Shock Immunity.
Build Consequences
Tier 10 maps will be swimming with additional mini-bosses (Invasion, Exiles, etc) with about 1.5 million HP.
Tier 16s will have about 6 million HP on these mini-bosses.
This makes some skills quite marginal. Herald of Ice in particular struggles to do all that much - it's incredible at cleaning up 250k HP monsters, very 'meh' against mini-bosses.
You want burst damage.
Cooldown traps and Vaal skills that are good against bosses strike me as excellent choices.
You will also take unpredictable damage. This is not going to be a glass cannon-friendly event.
More Vaal Lightning Strike, just in case you VLS Champ is going to be top-tier.
7. Path Of Exile - Item Availability - Drop Anywhere Uniques More Common Than League starts. Heist/Delve Drops Less So.
Item Availability
● It's a fresh economy, so boss drops won't be available early. Just like a league start.
● But with so many extra rare/ unique monsters, T2-5 drop anywhere uniques will quickly become common.
● In The early league you might want to farm zones, like The Ledge or Tidal Island to hunt a Tabula Rasa and/or Goldrim.
● Items from side content requiring setup
(Heist/Delve etc) will be scarce. Don't plan around them unless they are common.
At the very start of the event, it's a fresh economy, so boss drops won't be available also a number of the boss access keys will take a little while to become available too, just like a League start, so don't count on having access to something like a dying Sun eight hours into the event, if you're good at making currency, then maybe you will be able to get a dying Sun by the second day with so many extra rare and unique monsters in each Zone. Tier two to five drop anyway uniques will quickly become pretty common, so this is things like chevron's wrappings and more common uniques than that all of these will become pretty accessible in a reasonable time frame tier two might take a little bit longer, but tier three four and five these should be pretty accessible pretty quickly.
8. Path Of Exile - Early (Act 1) Farming
Now, in early League, you might want to farm zones, like the ledge or tidal Island, to hunt a tabula rasa and or a gold room early on, it's hard to say for certain exactly how viable that's going to be because GGG tends to fiddle around with Act One a little bit.
To prevent any of these mechanics from feeling, so powerful that they feel mandatory, check tidal Island first, check the ledge second, if either of them has Rogue Exiles in them or Invasion bosses in them, then this is probably the place to get a tabular and a gold room, now several POE items come exclusively from side content talking things, like the rare fossils, like leadership's price from Heist or even the more common Heist unique, like Nadia mode, these are going to be scarce, if the side content requires setup, then it's not going to be very many people doing that setup and as a result, you shouldn't plan on having these paths of Exile items at all, unless the Path of Exile items are very common or you're willing to do, all that set up yourself, definitely don't build around leadership's price.
9. Path Of Exile - Five Build Ideas To Consider. SST Trickster, Explosive Trap Sabo, VLS Champ, RF Inquisitor, Boneshatter Jugg
Trickster Cold Conversion Crit Spectral Shield Throw. Great ES recovery while you have things to hit or kill. Prioritize trading for Emperor's Vigilance. Warning, Vigilance is Tier 1 or 2 rarity so might be expensive.
Explosive Trap Saboteur. Prioritize suppression to survive the event's unpredictable damage.
Vaal Lightning Strike Champion
Righteous Fire Inquisitor. Prioritize shock immunity.
Boneshatter Juggernaut. THICC.
