Upgrading gear in LSOT AK – the basics

How can you upgrade your gear? By completing certain events, such as Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids, you can farm so-called Destruction Stone Shards, Guardian Stone Shards, Harmony Shards, and Harmony Jumpstones. These are the raw materials you need to upgrade your armor at the first T level. After reaching the 2nd or 3rd T level, you will receive the materials corresponding to your level in the respective Wrecking Ball event.

Once you have collected some of them, you can strengthen your equipment with the help of an NPC. On the map, this NPC is represented by the hammer symbol and is usually located in the corner of the city with all merchants.

The gear screen will open automatically. Now select the LSOT AK gold on the left and press "Upgrade". Then drag the slider to the right and go to the bottom of the "Gear Booster" field and your gear will be one level higher.

However, you should only increase your armor and weapons to +15, as higher levels will not help you in any way. The stats only increase the minimum, starting from +15, and you will also advance in the story.

Difficulties with upgrading:

Upgrading your equipment will also present a difficulty or two. Everything goes well at first, all the way up to +5. The upgrade is still too favorable to fail. However, with each level, the cost of upgrading increases and the likelihood of success decreases. At first, you should still manage several levels per day. However, after a while, it may take a long time to collect the necessary materials. Especially at the third T level, this quickly becomes a pain.

If the upgrade fails, your gear will remain at the same level, but your hard-earned materials will disappear. Here, you can easily transfer gains from one piece of equipment to another for a small silver fee. Your old equipment will be completely used up, and your new equipment will receive all the upgrades it contains.
