Diablo 2 Resurrected High Runes Farming Guide - How To Find High-Level Runes?

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, finding uniques, sets and those sorts of this items is generally going to be a little bit easier for a lot of the cases, as the D2R runes have more just randomness to them overall, especially the high level runewords, but there are still some tips you can do to improve your chances of finding them, so let's go ahead and dive in.

How To Find Low Level Runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

Finding your early runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected, the countess is going to be your main slot. This means:

Normal Countess - If you go to normal countess you can find up to a Ral Rune, if you're looking for like Tir,Tal, Eth all that tunes even like Ort Rune you can get three Ral Runes keep them up make an Ort Rune, these are very quick runs that you can do - just very quickly go through the countess kill and get up to that. 

Nightmare Countess - If you go to nightmare countess, you can find up to an Io Rune, so once again you need to get your Amn Runes, Shael Runes, Dol Runes and Io Runes and Hel Runes. All of these runes can drop from nightmare countess, these are going to be your fastest as well - just quick spots to go and kill and get these runes.

Hell Countess - In Hell, you can find up to East Roon and she can drop up to a Lo Rune just from her normal monster drop, so this is going to be something that you can do in the Hell countess as well. You're not going to find these Diablo 2 resurrected runes every single time, but if you're looking for one in a few hundred chance whatever it is, then doing hell countess is going to be the place for you. 

The Rogue Encampment is a very easy place to pick up a lot of those middle tier runes but also get that chance for the Mal, Ohm, Ist runes and then additionally she also has the chance to drop terror keys which is really nice. 

Additionally you have to note that she does have a cold and fire immunity, so you're going to need either some sort of lightning damage character or you're going to need to have a mercenary that's strong enough to kill or you can kill all of the other mobs. 

How To Find High Runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

The biggest difficulty here is that there's not some perfect easy answer, now what you can do now is follow the below tips to improve the chance to find the high level runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected:

Tip 1. Kill Mobs As Many Mobs As You Can To Get Better Chance For Runes

It does not depend on magic find whatsoever, runes are purely a product of the number of monsters killed. So you just need to kill as many mobs as you possibly can, the higher you stack your damage and the more monsters you kill faster, the better chance you have of getting runes from mobs. Magic find has zero effect on farming D2R runes, this is all about the speed and the number of players in the game, so you just need to go and pop those things as fast as you possibly can. 

Tip 2. Great Places For Farming High Level Runes

Cows - With that being said, places like the Cows are a fantastic place to try and ruin hunt, because in the cows, there is just a lot of bodies, so can kill a lot of the mobs very quickly and this gives you a decent chance at getting high D2R runes. 

Travancol - Additionally another place that's great for high level rune is going to be just killing the travancol, they just have some decent drop rates even Zod Runes. 

Chaos - The third place that is generally farmed a lot is the Chaos and again this is because you're going to have that same sort of monsters to kill.

Arcane Sanctuary - Additionally another place that is very nice is also the Lord or the Arcane Sanctuary, because ghosts have a limited drop pool, so by killing them, you actually get a higher chance of dropping runes. The most important thing is you don't kill them while they are off of the path, because if you do that and they will die without dropping items. So you have to kill them while they're standing on the path, but additionally at the end of all of these paths, you have these chest and you can pop all those chests and there's a lot of loot in them even including runes there.

Lower Cross - This is probably the best place in single player for any character that's looking to get a high runes - Ber and below runes. There's just a billion poppables anyways, so if you're on players 8 and you want to find stuff (chests, logs, armor racks etc.) you can literally pop, it is great place to get all sorts of jewels, gems, runes. But the more advanced piece or the place when you're really looking for like that that high room that burund specifically is you need to come to wherever there is this campfire.  There is a tavern - a little house with two super chests. They have set drops in them and will drop lots of really nice goodies. Of course players 1, 3, 5 and 7 are where the increase in drops come, so if you farm them on these players, you get higher chances. So this is where you can go and try to get your Ber, Sur, Lo, Vex runes. You can have up to two of these campfires per Lower Cross map, sometimes one and sometimes two, so you'll have anywhere from 3 to 6 super chests, if you are playing in single player.

And remember that any places that you're getting good rune drops is just a good place for high tier runes, because if you're getting a lot of rune drops that means it just hasn't rolled yet.

3. Doing Your Forge To Find High Tier Runes

The last way would technically be doing your forge, that's a one time thing in the River of Flame, you can go to do that quest and get a chance to get up to a Gul Rune.
