WOW TBC Classic Best Professions Guide

6/29/2021 11:20:20 AM

Professions have always played a vital role in the World of Warcraft. But in TBC, the increasing importance of making powerful gear amplifies their importance. This guide mainly introduces the four main WOW TBC classic professions and the best profession in WOW TBC classic.

WOW TBC Classic Professions Introduction

There are four main types of professions: production, service, gathering, and others. Production specialties include alchemy, forging, cooking, engineering, jewel crafting, leather making, and tailoring, all of which require players to craft powerful items that can be equipped or traded.

Service professions include Enchantment and First Aid, which allow players to create items that benefit the player. Gathering professions include Herbology, Mining, Skinning, and Fishing specialties, which allow players to acquire the materials needed to create powerful tradable goods. In addition to these professions, there are horse-riding, poison, and pick-pocketing. Buying WOW Classic TBC gold also can through the best professions!

Best Profession in the World of Warcraft TBC Classic

In WOW TBC Classic, most of the craft professions are dedicated to making consumables, while the top guilds require engineering, as engineers can use explosives during raids to DPS.

However, this has changed in TBC. Other professions gain great value by providing elaborate equipment that is unique to that class. Due to the drums, all raids in TBC require skinning, but Blizzard has implemented some changes that will require only a few players instead of everyone.

All major craft classes provide value for at least one profession or specialization. Here are some of the biggest reasons to use each profession.

Alchemy

Alchemy in TBC is a powerful profession for producing gold. Transformations like Primal Might are of great value throughout the game, and in the early days, many players were willing to pay large amounts of gold for them.

The profession gains additional utility from the newly launched Cauldrons, which provide full raids with important protective potions. The new alchemy stone can be used as a trinket, useful to healers in certain situations.

Most players with alchemists will only do this to make potions and transformations. This is not necessarily the profession of many of the main characters that players want them to raid.

Blacksmithing

One-handed mace throat is one of the most powerful crafting items in TBC. For this reason, most melee classes have to craft as one of their classes.

Mace can also be upgraded throughout the TBC, so the Warrior and Shaman can keep the class throughout the expansion.

In addition, blacksmiths can create gold by crafting various items, such as weapon stones, weapon chains, and temporary armor buffs for items.

Enchanting

This profession is highlighted in TBC by a ring enchantment that only enchanters can benefit from. It's only slightly better than what everyone can get, so it may not be the deciding factor in whether or not you enchant.

The biggest reason to enchant is to earn gold by enchanting someone else's equipment or helping your guild. Most guilds expect at least one guild enchanter to absorb all the valuable enchantment recipes dropped during raids. This is no different in WOW TBC Classic.

Enchantment will also become the first profession for those who run large five-player dungeons and get the loot they don't need. Dropped items can be broken down and turned into more valuable materials that can be used to enchant items.

Engineering

Engineering loses some value in TBC. But just because it's not mandatory doesn't mean it doesn't have all the explosive toys of the past.

Explosives, sappers, and grenade items are still useful throughout the TBC, and PvP players will want to craft engineering goggles that improve stealth detection.

While these goggles won't work at the start of TBC, expect to see a lot of players switch back to engineering when they're available in a future patch so they can catch up on the pesky Invisibility Course in Arena matches.

Jewelry processing

Jewelry craft is primarily a money-making course. There are certain gems in TBC that only jewel crafters can use, but they are only slightly better than others.

This profession is also attractive to PVPERS, as Shadow Chop Leopard trinkets can both increase stealth detection and be used to significantly increase attack power.

This trinket is considered one of the best trinkets for Rogues, the top class in the arena.

leather

Once considered a must-have for every Raider in TBC, Blizzard's changes to Combat Drum have greatly weakened the class.

Some classes still use this profession early on for crafting artifacts and armor upgrades, but leather is mostly used for battle drums.

Despite being nervous, Raiders still want to have at least one leatherworker in each raid. Overall, this means that you need to have at least five leather-processing raiders in a raid of 25 people.

Tailoring

The tailor will be the preferred class for dressing classes like Warlock, which is the strongest DPS class in TBC.

The class offers much powerful pre-raid gear and offers the best two-piece Spellstrike suit for the Warlock.

At the same time, tailors can make three special fabrics, similar to the classic moon cloth, which can be used to make a variety of items and equipment. Just like Mooncloth, all three types of cloth have a multi-day cooldown, so they will be highly sought after early in the first phase.
