Path of Exile 2 Best Minion Build - PoE 2 Minion Tier List

Minions are allied monsters summoned by the player that fight alongside them. Minions have their own damage, stats, and actions separate from the player. Minion damage can be scaled through various passive skills, support gems, unique items, auras, etc. Minions can critically strike, gain charges, and their kills partially benefit the player.  Minion builds allow players to take on a summoner/commander role, controlling an army of monsters. This provides a unique and versatile playstyle option compared to more direct combat approaches. Without further ado, let's dive into Path of Exile 2 best minion builds! 

S Tier

• Sniper - The sniper skeletons are incredible at boss killing, being the best PoE 2 minion build to use for consistently farming bosses. While their clear speed is a bit slower than some other options, their insane single-target burst damage puts them at the top of the Path of Exile 2 minion build tier list.

A Tier

• Arsonist - The arsonist minions are one of the highest performing minions in the game, with excellent damage output and clear speed, especially in the early game. They are not placed in S tier because there are other minions that outperform them in certain situations.

• Hellhound - The hellhound is a free 6-link minion that provides a valuable defensive layer by redirecting 20% of damage taken to it. Its mechanical issues like getting stuck in doorways hold it back from S tier.

B Tier

• Cleric - Clerics are a necessary inclusion in many minion builds, as their ability to heal and resurrect other minions is quite useful, even if they don't contribute much damage themselves.

• Frost Mage - Frost mages have a similar shotgun-style damage mechanic to the arsonists, but are limited by not being able to use some of the strongest support gems. They provide the benefit of freezing enemies, but are slightly outperformed by the arsonists in damage.

C Tier

• Brute - Brutes are hard-hitting and stun well, but their slow speed and lack of Splash/cleave damage make them clunky to use, relegating them to the C tier.

• Reaver - Reavers have similar melee issues to the brutes, with body blocking and lack of Splash being problems. However, they perform better than the brutes in single-target situations, earning them a spot above the brutes.

D Tier:

• Raise Zombie - Raise Zombies are the worst tier on PoE 2 minion ranking and only have limited usefulness for a little extra efficiency during the campaign, but are not worth investing resources into.

• Unearth - Unearth is not worth using in the current state of the game, as the clear speed efficiency of other ranged minions makes unearth less valuable.

• Warrior - Investing spirits and support gems into summoning warriors is seen as an extreme waste, relegating them to the bottom of the Path of Exile 2 minion tier list.
