Diablo 4 Season 6 Mythic Tier List - Best Mythic Uniques Ranked In Vessel Of Hatred

11/1/2024 3:40:33 PM

The release of Season 6 for Diablo 4 has shaken up the mythic item meta in major ways. Certain previously top-tier mythics have fallen from grace, while others have ascended to new heights of power. Read our D4 Season 6 mythic tier list, we have ranked the best mythic items in Vessel of Hatred.

Diablo 4 Season 6 Best Mythic Unique - D4 Vessel of Hatred Mythics Ranking

Mythic Uniques are extremely powerful and rare items, even rarer than regular Diablo 4 unique items. They can only drop in Torment difficulties from all Tormented endgame bosses like Echo of Varshan, The Beast in the Ice, etc. Their drop chance from these bosses is 1.5% per boss. Bosses have 5 chances to drop a Mythic Unique, so they can potentially drop multiple per kill. Mythic Uniques always drop at the maximum item power of 800, so they always have at least one greater affix.

S Tier

  • Heir of Perdition

Heir of Perdition is S-tier best Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred best mythic. Its main power is providing a flat 60% bonus damage for the player, regardless of build. This is a massive damage increase on its own. It also increases the damage of certain "core skills" by boosting their rank or level. This provides an additional damage multiplier on top of the base 60% bonus. It has effectively replaced the Harlequin Crest helmet as the best option, as almost no builds are using Harlequin Crest anymore due to how powerful Heir of Perdition is. Even builds that don't use core skills can benefit from just the base 60% damage increase it provides.

  • Shroud of False Death

Shroud of False Death was initially in competition with Tyrael's Might for the top spot. Tyrael's Might used to be considered absolute S-tier, but has fallen since the introduction of Shroud of False Death. Shroud of False Death provides pure damage multipliers through abilities/skills, whereas Tyrael's Might provides more survivability bonuses like resistance and damage reduction. Essentially any build benefits from Shroud of False Death due to the damage multipliers it provides. Only builds that need a specific chest piece would not use it.

  • Ring of Starless Skies

Ring of Starless Skies is S+ tier. It provides a huge damage increase through its 50% core skill damage multiplier. This benefits virtually all builds. The reduction of core skill resource cost allows for more spamming of damaging skills. Getting the AS cap bonus further amplifies its powerful bonuses. It also grants resistance to all elements, making it even more universally effective than normal rings. Even builds not focused on core skills can take advantage through spamming other skills it enables.

A Tier

  • Harlequin Crest

Harlequin Crest used to be an absolute S-tier choice and one of the best helmets, but has fallen since Heir of Perdition was introduced. It still provides useful bonuses like maximum resource and cooldown reduction that can benefit some specific builds. Builds that rely heavily on ultimate skills and have room for optimization may still find value in Harlequin Crest's bonuses. The max resource also boosts damage indirectly for some classes through increased skill ranks.

  • Doombringer

Doombringer is considered S-tier for overpower builds if it has a greater affix for maximum life. The maximum life affix allows it to massively outperform even well-optimized one-handed weapons with double damage affixes. Without the maximum life affix, it would be lower rated. For builds not focused on overpower, it would struggle to compete with one-handed weapons and only be rated A-tier.

  • The Grandfather

Used to be an absolute S-tier for all Barbarian builds. Many top Barbarians have switched to other weapons like Doombringer, reducing its relevance. Still used situationally by some Asian players paired with Banishlord's Talisman. Requires a good maximum life or all stat roll to really shine. Overall considered A-tier now, as it's not universally best anymore and performance depends on affixes.

B Tier

  • Tyrael's Might

Tyrael's Might used to be considered absolute S-tier and one of the best Diablo 4 items in previous seasons. However, with the introduction of Shroud of False Death, it has fallen significantly in the tier rankings. Shroud provides purely damage focused stats and multipliers, while Tyrael's Might focused more on defensive stats like resistance, damage reduction, etc. Most builds will benefit more from the offensive power of Shroud rather than the defensive focus of Tyrael's Might. As a result, Tyrael's Might is no longer a default best choice and has been replaced by Shroud for the majority of builds.

  • Andariel’s Visage

Andariel's Visage was very popular in Season 5 for rogues and sorceresses due to synergy with starlight aspect. It had its synergy destroyed by an overheal nerf, killing build strategies. No builds are particularly excited or benefit significantly from it now. Rated B-tier on this D4 Season 6 mythics ranking as it can still be used but no longer meta defining like before.

F Tier

  • Melted Heart of Selig

Melted Heart of Selic is considered F-tier on the D4 Season 6 mythic tier list.It provides some maximum resource and damage reduction bonuses, but these stats are not particularly useful or impactful for most builds. The amulet slot is better filled by other options that provide more meaningful damage boosting stats like Bismark's Torment or a stat-focused amulet. Bismark's Torment and high stat amulets allow builds to enjoy huge damage multipliers and primary stat percentage increases. Compared to these alternatives, the bonuses from Melted Heart of Selic are underwhelming and ineffective.

  • Nesekem The Herald

Nesekem the Herald provides a random mark on enemies that makes them vulnerable and guaranteed critical hits. Sounds good in theory but is outclassed by other item options. No builds prioritize it over better choices like Capala.

  • Shattered Vow

Ability to occasionally become Berserker is nice but replaceable. Key current builds are crit/overpower focused, while it benefits damage over time. Damage over time is weak and cannot crit/overpower as top builds. Players are likely unhappy receiving it as a drop given lack of meta viability.
