They have different damage types, scaling, and unique Ash of War skills like Blind Spot and Deadly Dance. Backhand Blades are very fast weapons suited for dexterity builds. S Tier- Smithscript Cirque

Going with a lightning affinity for Smithscript Cirque. Swift Slash is the most busted Ash of War in the game. In case you didn't know, these Smithscript armaments can be thrown if you use heavy attacks. It's very annoying however it gets even more annoying whenever you throw in Swift Slash because you get i-frames on it, insane damage, an initial attack, and an AOE that comes out behind you. Just absolutely insane mobility, this Ash of War legitimately has it all.

It is only usable on Backhand Blades but infinitely better than Blind Spot. Even if you are out of FP, you can still spam this to move around. Moreover, this weapon comes with strength scaling, dex scaling, int scaling, and faith scaling, so it works for any build. If you put bleed affinity on here, you get scaling in everything. This thing with status effects is obnoxious!

How To Get?

To get the best Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Backhand Blade, all you need to do is elude it off of a body at the Ruined Forge of Starfall Past.

A Tier - Backhand Blade

The normal Backhand Blade can go with Keen Affinity. You get D str and S scaling in dex which is amazing. The Ash of War Blind Spot is only usable on Backhand Blades. It does solid damage and good mobility, also it's really good against shield enemies. Backhand Blade has a one-handed move set that does look really nice. If you have a Backhand Blade equipped, you get two of them right off the bat so you can power stance. Overall, it has a very fast fluid moveset that feels nice to use.  The one of the best Elden Ring DLC backhand blade that has fantastic scaling across the board.

How To Get?

You can get the Backhand Blades very early on if you head northeast of the Scorched Ruins. Head to this spot on the map and you will find the Backhand Blade along with the Blind Spot Ash of War.

C Tier - Curseblade's Cirque

Curseblade's Cirque is the most lackluster and is the only somber Backhand Blade with its unique Ash of War Deadly Dance. You get B scaling in dex, D scaling in strength as well as blood loss buildup that you cannot increase. As for the moveset, it is the exact same as the normal Backhand Blade nothing really to it. The cool thing about its unique Ash of War is that you can go directly into a full light attack string out of the Ash of War, however, this is definitely not the easiest Ash of War to hit in the world. The truth is that these Curseblade's Cirque aren't really doing things for you, the Ash of War is janky. The bleed buildup you get is not that great but the move set's good, the worst on this Elden Ring DLC Backhand Blade tier list.

How To Get?

You are going to have to farm for the Curseblade's Cirquee specifically from Curseblade enemies. Once you make it to the Stagefront Site of Grace in Belurat. Make your way down the stairs west and you will find a Curseblade enemy that you can farm however many times you want. However, there is just no reason to use it over the normal Backhand Blade.

They are very strong on their own but Swift Slash is so broken, that Ash of War needs nerfs because it should not be that spammable and that easy to chase people down.
