With the third phase of WoW Classic's Season of Discovery now well underway, players have begun to look towards what new content and features will arrive with the launch of Phase 4. Today, we leaked the Season of Discovery Phase 4 release date, raids (bosses), rewards, and how to prepare.
Phase 4 of WoW Season of Discovery is going to be amazing. A major change coming in Phase 4 is the increase of the level cap from 50 to 60. This means players will be able to explore new high-level zones across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, completing quests and dungeons in areas like Eastern Plaguelands and Winterspring. It also opens up more options for leveling alts and experiencing the full breadth of classic WoW zones. Next, we're talking about WoW SoD Phase 4 leaks, sharing with you some early Phase 4 stockpiling like items and things that you can do to be ready for Phase 4 when it does ultimately come.
While no official release date has been announced yet, phase 4 is expected to bring some highly anticipated updates that will dramatically shape the WoW Classic endgame experience.
Molten Core is one of the most iconic bosses in Wow's history. Molten Core is a level 60 raid dungeon located within Blackrock Mountain, which is the home and seat of power of Ragnaros the Firelord. It was one of the first two 40-player raid dungeons available in the original World of Warcraft. Clearing it was a major achievement at the time. It exists inside the actual Molten Core of Blackrock Mountain, which acts as a gateway from the Firelands plane of fire to Azeroth. Molten Core is going to be a 20-main raid in Season of Discovery. This means the amount of trash in Molten Core will be excessive even with the level of power creep. Thanks to runes, we're going to be even stronger in Phase 4.
It contains bosses like Lucifron, Magmadar, Gehennas, Baron Geddon, Ragnaros and their elemental minions. The final boss is Ragnaros. Players had to defeat bosses in a certain order to progress due to mechanics like runes that needed to be deactivated.
It drops many epic and legendary items from the first two tiers of raid gear. This includes the first tier set pieces. Ragnaros specifically drops some legendary items like Sulfuras and bindings for Thunderfury. Clearing it was once considered the pinnacle of raiding before later raids like Blackwing Lair were released. It can now be easily soloed by max level players but is run for achievements and transmog gear/pets from bosses.
In terms of character progression, Blizzard will be adjusting racial traits and weapon skill bonuses. Races other than Orc and Human will gain the ability to unlock weapon skill passives for their characters. Likewise, all races will be able to access priest racial spells through a new unlock mechanic. These changes are focused on increasing build customization and reducing niche bonuses for specific races/classes.
Perhaps the biggest change coming is a complete revamp of gear itemization. All pre-existing tier sets from Molten Core, Onyxia and other raids will be expanded with new "off-set" bonuses and looks. Item levels and stats are being rebalanced across the board. Professions will also see tweaks to specializations to facilitate easier swapping of bonuses. These widespread item and systems changes aim to breathe new life into both classic and new content alike as players step into Phase 4.
