Healers play a vital role in WoW Dragonflight, both in raids and dungeons/Mythic+ content. Today we're going to be talking about the Dragonflight best healers based on their performance in Mythic+ and based on their performance in raiding. We will have a sneak preview in patch 10.1.7 based on some of the juicy changes that happening to a couple of the healers.
Patch 10.1.7 is scheduled to go live on September 5. There's a massive disclaimer 10.1.7 there might be more changes happening and if your class is not mentioned here it does not mean it's bad because the healing balance is improving significantly every single week because Blizzard is trying to fix the Fiasco that happened after the patch 10.1.5. Now, we're starting off with the Dragonflight 10.1.7 healer tier list. Since healers are one of the most important and impactful roles in organized group play in WoW.
1. Holy Paladin (Best M+ Healer)
If you talk about M+, you have to talk about Holy Paladin, because Holy Paladin was probably the biggest outlier from patch 10.1.5 because it received a massive rework. The rework was not only insanely overpowered but it was also really fun to play. If you're just going to be playing Mythic+, Holy Paladin is almost made for Mythic+ content especially if you like Melee play style. Holy Paladin provides some of the best spot healing that is available in the game right now when you compare it to other healers who don't really have those capabilities. Meanwhile, he provides so much spot healing that you have so many cooldowns or short CD cooldowns. Holy Paladin is very user-friendly as well. All in all, Holy Paladin provides a very decent amount of HPS, has a damage reduction cooldown, and provides passive damage which still makes it a very solid pick in race situations and pretty much still an S-tier healer when it comes to Mythic+. The only negative downside of Holy Paladin is Blizzard going to keep nerfing Holy Paladin.
2. Discipline Priest (M+ Healer On The Rise)
Discipline Priest is rising or becoming the best DPS healer in the WoW Dragonflight 10.1.7 M+ because of the fact Holy Paladin DPS is getting nerfed while Discipline Priest receives some significant buffs to its toolkit and its healing since patch 10.1.5. Holy Paladin is still the king of Mythic+ but Discipline Priests will be the replacement since they are more and more used in high-end M+. It’s really fun to play, you have to put a lot of effort in terms of the play in order to provide a lot of AoE healing and in order to provide DPS again. A lot of people are trying out Discipline just because it is a fun ranged healer. It is a range healer but you still have to step into a melee order to use that pollen over depending on how many stacks you have. Overall this will still require more effort than Holy Paladin in order to really min max its potential.
3. Restoration Druid (Best Raid Healer)
Restoration Druid is for people who want to pop HPS meters. Restoration Druid can be considered as the best HPS healer and that has to do with some of the new talents that were introduced in 10.1.5 in terms of rising light, falling night. If you know how to use your cooldowns, it's going to be one of the best HPS healers. Restoration Druid is going to receive some significant changes in patch 10.1.7. They are getting some new talents and those talents are going to fix some of the glaring issues with Restoration Druid in terms of responding to single-target healing or responding to AOE healing.
