In this guide, we talk about the best Glyphs in Diablo 4 for all of the classes, then you will figure out which ones you generally want to rank up first and why glyphs in general are going to be one of the major power boosts that you can acquire in the late game.
So after you have done the campaign and slowly grinding towards level 100, you will start leveling up those glyphs in Nightmare dungeons. They are usually designed to be relatively weak early on when they are not ranked up, but when they are maxed out of the highest level, they give you a lot of extra stats. Most of these Glyphs provide bonuses that are in the additive damage category, so what this means is that they have a lot of different damage stats that just add together and don't multiply this item.
For example, damage to close enemies from the Turf Glyph, while we have the control that gives you a damage to crowd control targets, all of these bonuses go into the same category which makes them not as effective as something that actually multiplies your damage, which is why there are some gloves that are very powerful. So most of them do belong to the same category but some don't.
No.1 - Exploit Glyph
Most importantly the Exploit Glyph, every class has access to this glyph, it does look a little bit different on the Sorcerer and Necromancer, but the Exploit Glyph provides extra vulnerable damage and vulnerable as a debuff, and all of the damage buffs too vulnerable are actually a multiplier as a whole. So this means that when you have like this huge additive damage category, let's say a thousand percent extra damage bonuses from all the stuff that you stack up and then you add for example 100% more, it will just become 110% which is a relative damage increase of 10%. But in the case of vulnerable, let's say you have 100 bonus vulnerable damage, the difference between applying it and not is actually double damage because it multiplies this 1000% value to become 2000%, this is exactly why vulnerable damage and vulnerable debuff are so important and why the Exploit Glyph is the overall most powerful Glyph in the entire game right now.
No.2 - Core Skill Glyph (Combat Glyph)
The second most powerful glyph is also almost every single boat wants to stack, there are exceptions because it doesn't apply to every build, and on a Rogue it's called Combat. It does have a different name on all of the classes but every single class has something like this which buffs core skill Critical Strike damage. So again with the damage multipliers in the game, Critical Strike damage is another multiplier so to say, so we have the additive damage category you have the vulnerable damage and then you have crits that also just get their own multiplier. And Critical Strike damage is not that easy to stack so you can get a bit of the Rings or Weapon Sockets. Once you level this glyph up and pull this stack it, you can get something like 200% Critical Strike damage, so we can basically have double your Critical Strike damage with this. This glyph will definitely be featured in almost every build, but if you have like a full dot base build then this glyph is not as powerful.
No.3 - Rare Buffing Glyphs
Typically on the Paragon boards, you have a lot of additive damage yet again just like most of those glyphs with damage Buffs. There's damage to burning enemies, and damage to Elites, this is all the same damage category. So once you stack up you know hundreds and hundreds of percent of additive damage, these values are simply not impactful anymore. But there are some examples when these Rare Buffing Glyphs can be extremely impactful and this is when you buff defensive nodes. For example, there's the daily Ambush board that gives you a round node with damage reduction from enemies affected by trap skills, and then you can put a Glyph like this and boost. Typically it's not really worth that much to buff these rare nodes, but if you have especially one of those defensive round nodes or even magic nodes you can buff, because of this doubling effect on rare nodes, and then you get another multiplier on that. So when you're making your own Paragon boards you should look out for those opportunities to buff those damage reduction rare nodes if you have the manual built.
