There are two types of Glyphs in Diablo IV, including Magic and Rare rarities. Magic glyphs are like runes, they start with a radius of 2 and give you small bonuses, not the best ones that you want to put in but early on they are really good, the rare nodes start with a radius of 3 and are the most powerful nodes that you can put into those sockets, which really can boost your character's power level to a whole another level.

How to Get and Use Glyphs in Diablo 4?
Glyphs are D4 items that can be found in Sanctuary and embedded into a Paragon Board. To be able to use the Glyphs, you have to be able to unlock the Paragon Board, which can be unlocked after reaching level 50 on your character, from then on you can earn four Paragon points every level and use them to upgrade your Paragon Board by putting points into each of these nodes. You’ll have a total of 220 points, including 200 for a level 100 character and 20 additional from Renown in each of the regions inside of Sanctuary. You'll have a total of 220 points total for a level 100 character and that's after reaching 1500 Renown in each of the quote-unquote acts or regions, zones inside of sanctuary, this is going to give you 20 additional Paragon points.
How to Upgrade & Level Up Your Glyphs in Diablo 4?
Leveling up the glyph will increase its radius. You're going to have a big red bar after you socket a glyph is the max level of 15. When you are first finding nodes inside of Diablo 4, it's going to be the magic nodes with a small radius, as you continue to level them up, then you'll be able to go to the yellow lines. Each glyph inside of Diablo 4 can be leveled up by going to Nightmare Dungeons, you need to get the Nightmare Sigils that dropped from completing Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, Helltides, and more. After clearing a Nightmare Dungeon, you will receive XP to upgrade a Glyph.
Diablo 4 Glyph Sockets
The glyph sockets are special nodes on a Paragon Board, glyph sockets nodes allow you to affect nearby nodes with additional bonuses. When you unlock a glyph socket, you can use a node or a paragon glyph to put it into the socket and this is going to power boost your character. Placing it in a glyph socket can maximize its power.
