NBA 2K23 Best Shooting Badges for Season 5 - 2K23 Current & Next Gen Shooting Badges Tier List & Ranking
There are plenty of new badges for players to utilize in the latest installment of the NBA franchise. Shooting badges in particular are some of the most popular to experiment with in the game, as they can provide various benefits and advantages for players when they are shooting the ball, such as increased accuracy, faster release times, and improved shot percentage. These badges greatly enhance a player’s experience on the court and make their builds much more efficient.
The following tiers will be used to classify which badges to priortise over others, it must be noted that your build will change depending on position and shooting priority! Check this NBA 2K23 shooting badges tier list 2023 for Season 5.
F Tier Shooting Badge
Guard Up
This badge will let shooters punisher defenders who do not use the right stick or jump to contest a shot. It will make "neighborhood" contests easier to hit. This badge initially sounded great, however work from NBA2KLab have found that it only triggers if defenders don’t put up their hands on defense, which happens quite rarely.
D Tier Badges for Shooting in NBA 2K23 Season 5
Slippery Off-Ball
This could be a good badge for park, however for ProAM and Rec, it requires a lot more teamwork to trigger. It's just hard to fit into an offense.
Comeback Kid
It's not that useful, even when it is useful, it's going to be in a very specific Niche way and we don't even know how well it actually boosts your stuff. We don't see anybody in the game really care for the badge that much. This may become useful in wreck if you play with randoms. When it comes to Pro-Am or Rec Center or anything like that and it's not often that this badge is really needed for anybody. So don’t waste points!
C Tier List for NBA 2K23 Shooting Badges 2023
Middy Magician
Middy Magician is a pretty solid badge as well, it enhances your post fades, the mid-range fades, etc. Space Creator is just flat out better than it. Space Creator works on three point shots as well as mid-ranges and they're much better at just creating space and no pun intended, but they're better at creating space than mid-range fades are anyway depending on your dribble pull-up animation, maybe if you have KD or something like that or if you're a small guard that for instance runs, the Trae Young dribble pull-up. Obviously then mini magician is a little bit more usable because you have better fades at your Arsenal or to your access essentially. But for the majority of players out there who are 6’6’’ and above & 6’7s, 6’8s, 6’9s, anything above that as well for bigs, space creator is just flat out better than mini magician, it also works for post hops as well. So if you're worried about your post fades, taking a hit off not running mini magician, like post hops still work for space creator as well. So anything that you would want mini measures in to do space creator just does better.
Corner Spec
This has been improved a bit to 5% increase of your shot making on a Hall of Fame level. That really varies level based on the level of three-point rating you have on your build, maybe it's more important for the lower three-point rating builds to run this, maybe it's less important for the higher rating builds. As far as that goes though, corner specialist is rightfully so in the C tier now with the new information that we have on it.
Amped
It is literally just a small point guard badge in the comp Pro-Am that runs pure defense, three through five and all you have on offense except for yourself as a two guard. After that, we don't think this badge is exactly worth it. But if you have low to medium stamina and want to keep up the high rate of shots throughout a game, it reduces the penalty of fatigue so you can make shots.
Clutch Shooter
The Clutch provides a boost to a player's shooting percentage in the fourth quarter or overtime of a close game. The effectiveness of the Clutch badge will depend on the specific situation and the player's ability to perform in clutch situations.
If a player frequently finds themselves in close games in the fourth quarter or overtime, and they are able to perform well in those situations, then the Clutch badge can be very useful. It can provide a significant boost to their shooting percentage and help them make key shots when it matters most. However, if a player doesn't find themselves in close games very often or struggles to perform well under pressure, then the Clutch badge may not be as useful for them. In those situations, it may be more beneficial to focus on other shooting badges that can provide a more consistent boost to their shooting abilities.
Volume
This is an awesome badge if you take a high amount of three pointers, however we wouldn’t invest more than silver in this badge as it caps out pretty quickly.
B Tier Badges for Shooting in NBA 2K23
Green Machine
In NBA 2K23, the Green Machine shooting badge rewards players for making consecutive excellent releases on their shots, which are shots that have a perfectly timed release and fill the shot meter to the green zone. The Green Machine badge provides a boost to a player's shooting percentage when they make multiple excellent releases in a row, making it easier for them to score points.
Run this badge or not depending on your play style. If you are tucking shots constantly, we don't recommend even running this badge. If you're a constant person that shoots maybe 38 to 40 from three, but you put up crazy amounts of shots per game whether it's just a team that has an outside PG that just hunts three all day and has a block sitting big man at 7’2’’, it's a good badge investment. But when running this badge, you have to move with a little bit of caution, you have to keep in mind that you cannot chuck up those late clock like shot clock, shots or anything like that. B tier is a good spot for it because for the efficient shooters and stuff like that who maybe shoot just wide opens simple as that, Green Machine's a great badge. It's one of the best things you could possibly run especially on the Hall of Fame level.
Deadeye
One for spot up shooters, this triggers when you have a player in front of you, usually closing out and gives you a boost to your shot meter to hit shots in front of defenders. It’s one of the best shooting badges NBA 2K23 Current Gen.
Space Creator
This is also the B tier. This is a really good badge for the specific Niche like community that does this stuff. We've seen anybody that utilizes these hop jumper shots that Space Creator goes crazy for. The Space Creator on Hall of Fame level goes insane and you don't really need a super high mid-range or three-pointer to even run this at the hall of fame level.
Claymore
A new badge for NBA 2K23, this triggers when you stand still for at least two seconds, before receiving an awesome boost to your shot! A great badge again for spot-ups. You 100% need to run it.
Catch & Shoot
This can be a very useful badge for players who rely on catch-and-shoot opportunities to score points. This badge provides a boost to a player's shooting percentage and shot speed when shooting after catching a pass, making it easier for them to hit shots and score points. There are so many people that shoot for 17 shooting badge points on their 6’9s just to be able to afford catch and shoot clearly. So it's a good badge, it's definitely the best B-tier badge that's in this list.
A Tier NBA 2K23 Shooting Badge 2023
Limitless
This is going to be a really intimidating badge as far as picking rogos, but the reason it’s in A tier instead of the S is because this isn't as good as Agent 3 and Blinders, it's not as broken, it's not as necessary. If you don't run blinders or agent 3 as a point guard or shooting guard in 2K23, you're tripping. Limitless though, you can get away with not even running this, it's more of a like elite accessory badge where you need this as a point guard, if you're a true pick and roll team you have to extend that range, you have to be able to shoot from super deep, that's just kind of a given. But if you ever truly try this and you test out how far back you have to shoot to even activate Limitless, you better believe it's going to be super far back, you can literally shoot from the hash and Limitless will not even activate. This badge is probably one of the more overrated badges as far as shooting goes, but it's because some people think it's like the best NBA 2K23 shooting badge Current Gen/Next Gen.
S Tier Best Shooting Badges in NBA 2K23 Season 5
Blinders
This is the best NBA 2K23 badge for shooting. Someone has Hall of Fame blinders, it's not only intimidating, it's overpowered, people can truly just crab you, get you on the side of them, get you behind them and there's nothing you can do about it after that point and blinders just carries a lot of people.
Agent 3
Agent 3 is a staple badge like you have to have this as a ball handling three-point shooter, and it's a significantly overpowered badge for that matter too.
That’s for the best NBA 2K23 shooting badges ranked by tier. And you must find which are the top shooting badges in NBA 2K23 Next Gen.
