New World Winter Event Release Date
The Winter Convergence Festival is held annually throughout the month of December, with the last New World Winter event starts from December 16th, 2021, to January 11th, 2022.
New World Winter Village Locations
The questline is provided by the Winter Wanderer Yeti in either of the new Winter Villages that's been set up for the New World Winter Convergence Festival update. There are 4 in total, one in Monarch’s Bluff, one in Everfall, another one in Brightwood, and one in Weaver's Fan.
New World Winter Convergence Questlines Walkthrough
In order to start the New World Winter event, talk to the NPC Winter Wanderer. You will find him in Winter Village to the east of Everfall.
Quest 1 - Visit the Convergence Holiday Hut
The first quest of the New World Winter Festival is very short, all you have to do is to interact with one of the holiday hots in the same village in those huts you can also exchange lost presents and gleamite for winter tokens. After that return to Wanderer complete the first quest and start the second one.
Quest 2 - Tree of Light
Now you have to go to any settlement and check the town board. In the left upper corner, you will see a project to upgrade the tree of light. Completing these missions will increase your event reputation and territory standing. After interacting with the town board return to Winter Village talk to NPC finish the quest and take the next one.
Quest 3 - Joy Recaptured
Now you have to either find a lost present or go to the quest mark on the map. It's easier to fast travel to Everfall and go to the mark as soon as you find a present, the quest is completed. It's time to return back to Winter Village talk to Yeti again and complete the quest.
Quest 4 - Gleamite Crystals
The next one is similar you have to find a gleamite or go to the quest mark. On arrival, you will see a gleamite chart that you have to collect after doing that. Run back to the Winter Wanderer, talk to him again and take the next quest.
Quest 5 - Yetis Abound
This time we will have to defeat three Yetis in different caves.
-Start with Yeti called Rames at Rame’s Refuge. Because his cave is relatively close to Winter Village. Keep in mind that he is only level 25 and can be killed very fast, so if there are any other players in the cave, make sure to hit Yeti immediately. Otherwise, you will have to wait for his respawn.
-After that, we move to the next Yeti called Harri, and do the same thing. After you have dealt damage to Yeti, you can let other players hit him too.
-The last step of this quest is to defeat Yeti called Sunit. Nothing new or complicated just do the same thing and return back to Winter Village afterward. Talk to the NPC to finish the quest and start the next one.
Quest 6 - Wanderer Reborn
This part might be a bit more difficult and time-consuming. You have to reach rank 3 of event reputation and this requires 3 000 reputation points. There are 4 possible ways to increase it.
-Completing each town board quest will give you 5 reputation points. So as long as there are 3 quests, you can get 15 points in total.
-Looting event trees in any settlement gives 100 reputation which is a lot. But they have a 22-hour cooldown. Each lost present found will increase your reputation by 5 points. If you want to farm presents for winter tokens, just follow any road and you will find a lot of them. Their respawn time is from 15 to 30 minutes. Apart from the presents on roads, you can sometimes see them in the air, so make sure you have a ranged weapon to be able to hit them. Doing this will allow you to get around 20 presents and 25 event reputation points. Their respawn time is the same.
-Finding gleamite is the last possible way to increase reputation. But even though all the locations can be seen on the map, it is still kind of hard to find them. Mining a green light note will give you 25 reputation points and its respawn time is the same from 15 to 30 minutes. Once you finally reach the required third rank talk to the winter Wanderer complete the quest and start the last one.
Quest 7 - Winter Warrior
It's time to move to Ebonscale Reach to fight a level 61 Yeti called Sesa. On arrival make a camp before entering the cave.
-Start with killing small mobs and then attack the boss. He's not that hard to kill just make sure to dodge his aoe and ranged attacks. Once you finally managed to do that, pick up the quest item that he will drop. Apart from that, don't forget to loot a supply stockpile and mine several star metal veins inside the cave.
-After that start moving to the second boss his cave is located in the north of Edengrove. So it's better to use a spirit try near the quest mark to save time. Once you get to the second cave, do the very same thing, make a camp kill the mobs, and then defeat the Yeti. After that pick up the quest item mindstar medal and leave.
-The final boss is called Winter Warrior. He is a pretty strong level 65 angry earth boss. So using coatings trophies and honing stones might be useful. Also, make sure to place a camp near the cave. In general, be careful and try pulling not more than 2-3 mobs at the same time. It's better to kill all of them so that they will not distract you from the boss. After placing a rune, the Winter Warrior will appear along with several mobs. It might be hard to kill him so low, so it's better to come here with a couple of other players. Keep in mind that this boss can also drop obsidian gypsum.
-Once you manage to defeat the boss, don't forget to loot an elite chest in the mine or a calculum ore inside the cave. Do that quickly because mobs respond pretty fast. After that, return back to Winter Village talk to the Winter Wanderer, and complete the final quest.
New World Winter Convergence Rewards
New World Winter event will run through the full holiday season which should give us all plenty of time to unlock all the rewards that can be bought for winter tokens which is the currency for this New World Convergence event. To unlock like with the current faction system and shop, you need to gain a reputation to unlock all the items in what is called the Winter Convergence shop.
New World Winter Furniture
In total there are 12 new placeable items. There are five tiers, while most items at least in the first four tiers cost regular winter tokens, all placeables cost premium winter tokens. As each premium token requires 25 regular ones, to get reputation and tokens there is a quest line to complete that will give you both reputation and tokens of both types.
New World Food Items
Essentially what food items will do is give you plus 33 to each of the stats that you have. For example, 33 strength on this convergence cake, once you are at level 60 which actually makes this food very good and for a minimal two tokens not even having to do the Winter Convergence event New World. This could be something really good for some cheap alternatives to food particularly for things like outpost rush maybe some expeditions that you're not particularly going for push times on or if you're just wanting to run around do some elite zones with some buff stats. These can be some really good ways to get it because you're going to be picking up the presents, the gleamite shards, all of that good stuff as you are going around Aeternam anyway. So you might as well get yourself some decent food.
New World Winter Weapons
One of the really important things to look at is the weapons. Some weapons are harder to find and look at than others, some you'll have an abundance of lucky weapons. It depends on how many elite zones and dungeons, etc you have done. These ones do come with a default 2.4 look on and that's across the board on each weapon. More importantly, particularly why the Iceburst sword is good because if you've got this one with a 2.4% look on and then you have any shield that has a 2.4% look on. There are quite a lot of drops that do give look shields in the open world, so buy these up prior to this update drop-in.
New World Winter Patterns
These New World Winter Convergence patterns are going to roll at 600 gear score which at first does sound very good and it's kind of a little bit broken. But what you will notice is it is an uncommon one, it's green which will mean that that's probably only going to have your attribute and then obviously the actual look of the weapon. Meaning that you're not really going to be able to get anything too good, and you're not going to have those skill perks that you need for those end-game PVP and PVE builds. Particularly you're not going to have the gem slots, etc that you really need to maximize a build. One thing you will get from a 600 piece of gear is the stat being at that plus 30 level which is really important and for a lot of players can be a huge huge boost.

New World Winter Convergence Festival Changes 2022
2022 is going to be year two of the New World Winter event and we have one significant addition. So similar to the Halloween event, definitely plan on bringing lots of your friends, shooting for somewhere in the order of 15 to 20. It takes a good amount of people, Winter Warrior will be spawning out in the world in multiple locations. He's a big giant fight because he's got minion friends out to help him out in the fight. He has lots of challenging abilities, it'll be raining down these big giant hail stones, creating shock waves to make them explode and generally making life everyone's lives a little bit of trouble.
What's great about this year is this is Brimstone Sands' first event. So settlements will be fully decorated when New World December Winter event releases. They introduced some new skins and a lot of new features. They scaled up what Winter Convergence was last year and made it better for this year and make it new for returning players but making it fresh and big for players who maybe haven't experienced it yet.
There's one other special treat and it's the starstone/amrine mashup. Starstone and amrein are connected in the lore and as a matter of fact in certain areas like the connections and the paths in the background that actually link the two locations together. and so what we did is within starstone you have to go through that entrance if you have access to this mutation which now expands it and now it includes the fight with Foreman Nakashima and Simon Gray. so that's added to this experience. There are some new routes that you have to go through through the starstone expedition itself. Now, this all-encompassing end-game activity is still intact with the cool lasers and unique puzzles and also with the fight with Greundgul but now it's been leveled up for end-game play.
