Dragon Riding is a new feature of Dragonflight. It allows you to move around the Dragon Islands to enjoy all the verticality offered in the different areas. In the new WoW expansion, however, it's more than just a means of getting around. This time, we don't just have to unlock flying. We learn and master drake riding, which allows us to perform special maneuvers with customizable dragons as flying mounts.
Dragon riding is a new form of air travel that allows you to obtain unique mounts that you can customize, as well as perform special maneuvers in flight. You can ride a Dragon Islands drake while using the brand-new aerial travel method, which you can learn to use as you level up in each of the four new areas. As you progress through your quest, give your drakes different looks and learn new skills that will let them fly farther and faster. Unlike in Shadowlands or Battle for Azeroth, flying in the draconic islands does not call for a high fact of Guide type.
Dragon riding is unlocked during your leveling in Dragonflight, in the 1st or 2nd level up zone. As you quest, you'll learn how to collaborate with draconic flights. After obtaining your dragonriding skill, you will gain levels to improve it, which will increase your possibilities in flight.
Note that your other frames will still be usable, but exclusively on the ground at first. Impossible to fly with your usual flying mount at the exit of the extension. Dragon riding is not meant to reduce function or the number of regular mounts - the draconic islands will have plenty of new mounts accessible to players.
The drake ride will be available in the continent of the expansion. You can customize it and call your friend whenever you want. Although it's likely that this will be applied to all World of Warcraft material, Blizzard will initially concentrate on Dragonflight.
Since the flight became available in WoW, it hasn't changed that much. Blizzard's idea is to offer a modern vision of it that involves physics and momentum. When you ride your dragon flight, you'll be able to reach certain locations and do things you couldn't do with classic flying.
Basically, your drake/dragon will have limited Vigor and experience. The interface also displays a Vigor bar that drops as you gain Vigor or make movements. Gradually, your mount will be able to fly for a long time and perform special pirouettes. Your dragon will have a skill tree that you can unlock little by little and you will have to go in search of ancient glyphs to improve your mastery of flight.
The more your mount evolves, the more its possibilities will be extended. The upgrades obtained over time will help you reach higher places or return to the city quickly.
