Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 Terror Zones For Level 99 Faster

A trial version of Diablo II: Resurrected Update 2.5 has just become available to PC owners. In addition to minor changes, such as fixing bugs or grammatical errors, the patch will introduce optional Terror Zones. This novelty is designed to help players who are striving to reach the maximum level.

Terror Zones in Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5 PTR

According to blizzard entertainment in the published patch description, they are introducing Terror Zones to D2R in order to make it easier for more people to reach the maximum, level 99. In The Horror Zones, which appear randomly in selected areas in each act, players will receive additional experience points for defeating the monsters lurking there, which will be slightly stronger than the player's character. Enemy levels in these zones will depend on the selected difficulty level.

D2R 2.5 Terror Zone Levels

Below is a breakdown of this level for each monster type per difficulty:

Normal

Base: +2 levels up to level 45

Champion: +4 levels up to level 47

Unique: +5 levels up to level 48

Nightmare

Base: +2 levels up to level 71

Champion: +4 levels up to level 73

Unique: +5 levels up to level 74

Hell

Base: +2 levels up to level 96

Champion: +4 levels up to level 98

Unique: +5 levels up to level 99

Every time we enter such a zone, we will be notified about it. When the time of the next zone begins, the game will also inform us about it. Importantly, there will be an option to disable Terror Zones.

D2R 2.5 Terror Zone Loots (Rewards)

The experience received and the loot dropped by killing a terrorized monster will be based on this new level. So it means the high level you run the Terror Zones, the more XP and better items you will obtain.

How to Play the Terror Zones In D2R 2.5 PTR?

For now, patch 2.5 is in the public testing phase. Anyone who owns Diablo II: Resurrected on PC can try it out, thus checking what the Horror Zones actually look like. However, the condition is to have a previously unbanned account on Battle.net. If you want to take part in the tests, it is enough to:

Step 1 - Launch the Battle.net application (you can download it here);

Step 2 - Choose from your Diablo II: Resurrected game collection;

Step 3 -  Enter a small pop-up menu above the "Install" (or "Play") button and select the "Public Test Server" option there, after which you will click "Install".

The creators encourage you to take part in public tests so that as many people as possible report noticed errors and share their insights. So if you have the PC version of Diablo II: Resurrected, don't hesitate. Terror Zones are waiting.

Is Terror Zones Available for Single Player or Offline in Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5?

Terror Zones in PTR 2.5 is MP (Multiplayer) only now, so now these areas are not working offline in Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.5. But it may be added to SP (Single Player) in the future after they have more ability to tweak MP on the fly as well while SP is a bit more baked in, than the Community Manager replied players on Reddit.

When Will The Terror Zones Be Release Official in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

We can confirm that Terror Zones will be released soon in the official 2.5 Patch, which will be after the end of the 2-week PTR. But the exact date is yet to be known.
