What You Can Do With Each Weapon & Which Reaper Will Use on Your Build
We'll go through each weapon type and show you what you can do with each weapon and why you may or may not use these weapons on your build.
#1 Halo Scythe
Faith scaling is very minimal with this weapon, making the halo scythe a poor choice for a strength weapon build that uses incantations, though if you wanted to, consider dual wielding two halo sizes for optimal scaling or pairing a halo side with a gravesite if you'd like different ash of war Michelle's ring of light and possibly some frostbite to build up.
Dual scythe playstyle is recommended.
50 points into strength and dexterity is recommended, and add point faith accordingly.
Has similar overall attack rating with the winged scythe and some infusion of grave scythe.
Best paired with sacred scorpion charm, holy-shrouding cracked tear, ritual sword talisman and shard of alexander.
The weapon skill miquella's ring of light has a long range and its pretty cheap to cast.
The weapon does more physical damage than holy.
Between halo and winged scythe, halo is a better weapon for first playthrough.
#2 Winged Scythe
Two-hand weapon skill focus playstyle or dual scythe playstyle is recommended.
50 points into dexterity and faith is recommended, and add points into strength after both dex and faith reach 80.
The weapon also does more holy damage than physical which is not ideal against late game bosses.
The weapon skill angel’s wings while strong has a very long animation.
The shortest reaper in the game.
Has similar overall attack rating with the halo scythe.
Overall a solid all around reaper, arguably one of the best in the game.
#3 Scythe
Play a jump attack sort of build that deals high damage per jump attack.
Two-hand or with a shield (occult or cold infusion) playstyle are also recommended.
Dual wield with the winged scythe (Flame art of sacred infusion) playstyle is recommended.
You can use a wide variety of ashes of war for this weapon.
Has a unique charge r2 that hits twice.
The longest reaper in the game. (by a small margin)
The scythe has lower damage than the grave scythe on every infusion except keen.
#4 Grave Scythe
Dual wielding isn't really needed if you're leaning into a weapon skill ideally, you'd use this solo with the cold infusion or pair it with the halo side than a dual wield sort of build that allows you to use a different weapon skill than Miklos ring of light because it also scales well with strength no matter which you choose the cold infusion is still a great way to go here since it will come out with higher damage at 50 strength and 50 dexterity than quality and it still applies frostbite.
The cold infusion is recommended for two-handed platstyle.
A good choice for status effect build with a ash of war that this rapidly.
Two-handed playstyle is recommended due to its strength scaling.
Overall a better weapon than scythe and can rival halo and winged scythe on overall damage on certain infusion.
