Madden 22 Best Wide Receivers - Top 10 Best WR in Madden 22 Ultimate Team
Take a look at the list of top 10 best wide receivers for Madden 22 MUT by Chuflocka, what they can do for you and who you should pick for your team?
Top 10 - Michael Irvin (98 OVR)
The number 10 wide receiver on the list we have Michael Irvin, but there is a big negative factor for him, it’s the physical archetype, there are actually a lot of physical archetypes in this list, it seems like they give that to all the big wide receivers in the game, Michael Irvin is six foot two, so he's not really as big as you'd want him to be, but still getting some amazing stats. With one power-up, he’ll have 98 catching, 95 deep and medium route running, and 98 short route running. There's really not much good here.
Top 9 - D.K.Metcalf (96 OVR)
The next spot for one of the best wide receivers in Madden 22 is D.K.Metcalf, is getting that big golden ticket card, and this card is basically almost a golden ticket, the stats aren't as good as that, they'll be put up a little bit more, but once you hit a 90 threshold, you're basically good, 92 short route running looks lower, but once it's above 90, it really doesn't matter too much in the game. D.K.Metcalf physical archetype, which the golden ticket should help, you should be able to get good ability buckets. Finally, he's six foot three, he's huge, speed, catching, and deep route running are really good, he should be amazing, 96 trucking and 90 carrying for a wide receiver are absolutely amazing, as well as the break tackle in 97, D.K. is a beast.
Top 8 - Keenan Allen (97 OVR)
The number eight spot would be Keenan Allen, which is an underrated card. He is six foot two, it’s a really good height in the game. He is a route runner as well, even though he is shorter than D.K.Metcalf, you can take the router on an archetype, route runners also get Deep Out Elite for one ability point, they get the route tech for cheap as well, and they are so much value to the team. He also got really good catching, and all of the route running is amazing, he also does have 94 break tackle, and 93 change of direction is very good after the catch.
Top 7 - Chase Claypool (98 OVR)
The number 7 WR we have is Chase Claypool, 95 speed, you only have 98 when fully powered up unless you're on a theme team, this might be one of the best cards in the game who have 99 spec catch, 99 catching, and a 98 catch in traffic. He's also one of the heaviest wide receivers in the game at 238 pounds, that's huge, 93 brake tackle is not the best, change direction at 88, but still very solid, 83 trucking's a lot lower, but at the end of the day, he's gonna get the ball for you even at 98 speed.
Top 6 - Davante Adams (98 OVR)
Moving to the number six, he gets every team chemistry, which can be a huge addition to your team, this card is very playable, there are a lot of teams that have juice wide receivers. Looking at these stats, he is gonna have 99 in every catching set, 99 spec catch and catch in traffic, 97 route running, and he is one of those cards that have played amazing all year. Not only does the team chemistry help Davante, but it helps everybody else in the team.
Top 5 - Mike Evans (98 OVR)
Then we are at the number five spot, Mike Evans is literally playful, he's literally playful but just one inch taller that's literally what this card is, Claypool does have a little bit better Catching stats, but it would take that plus one in height. Once you get that 90 thresholds, you're pretty much almost solid, everything else is basically just like a cherry on top, so getting that plus one in height is absolutely amazing. It's hard to run abilities on this card, you could use Red Zone Threat and throw high balls in the end zone, which will help you a lot, but these cards are good enough by themselves because of how big huge and all their good catching stats are, they're gonna make a lot of plays.
Top 4 - Tim Patrick (98 OVR)
For the number four, Tim Patrick is gonna have 99 speed with the upgrade, he is basically Mike Evans and Claypool put that plus one speed, but the Deep Threat is a much better archetype, he’ll get Deep Out Elite as well. Not the best short and medium route running on him, but he does hit that threshold, which will help a lot, 98 deep route running is really good, then we have Catching at 99, Catch in Traffic at 96, this is an absolutely all-around good card. But 66 trucking and 78 break tackle are not good.
Top 3 - Cooper Kupp (99 OVR)
Now, it’s number three. Cooper Kupp gets every ability bucket for cheap, he is six foot two, and he is a route runner, the archetype doesn’t matter to him, because he gets every ability. All of his stats are amazing, really good catching, all-around route running, and more. He can bring a lot of value to the team and is worth a top 3 spot among the Madden 22 wider receivers.
Top 2 - Randy Moss (98 OVR)
Looking at the number two, we have Randy Moss, 99 speed, any theme team, and you don’t even have to power him up, but just power him up if you want that 99 on the card. You’ll have 98 catching, 98 catch in traffic and 99 spec catch, his short and medium route running will be 95, plus with a 99 deep route running, he also gets 92 break tackle. Randy Moss is a very good guard.
Top 1 - Calvin Johnson (98 OVR)
Finally, the top wider receiver in Madden 22 Ultimate Team would be Calvin Johnson, who is considered by far the best WR in MUT. He has 97 speed, all of these catching stats are amazing, you’ll have 95 in short and medium and 99 in deep running. 85 trucking, 90 change of direction, 97 break tackle, 97 carrying, very decent stats, the biggest negative is probably the physical archetype as well.
