Diablo 4 Season 9 Best Endgame & Pit Class & Builds

Diablo 4 Season 9, titled Sins of the Horadrim, introduces a dynamic shift in endgame strategies, particularly within the challenging Pit content. With the advent of new boss powers, gear synergies, and impactful bug fixes, several builds have ascended to prominence across all classes. Next, we'll dive into Diablo 4 Season 9 Endgame Class Tier List based on high-tier Pit pushing performance, factoring in power scaling, survivability, build variety, and synergy with Season 9 boss powers and gear. As well the D4 Season 9 best endgame builds for each class.

D4 Season 9 Endgame Class Tier List

S-Tier

  • Necromancer
Bone Spear and Minion hybrid builds dominate with massive scaling and strong control using the new Spiritborn powers.

  • Barbarian

Double Swing and Dust Devil setups hit hard with new passive stacking. Great clear, mobility, and tankiness.

  • Sorcerer

Hydra + Firewall and Ball Lightning variants burn down bosses and zones alike. Boss power scaling makes them explosive.

A-Tier

  • Spiritborn
Quill Volley, Lightning Spike, and Thorns Rock Splitter builds are all powerful, but lack some of the top-tier sustain or burst.

  • Druid
Pulverize and Shred remain competitive, but require more ramp or conditional setups. Great with Poison and Barrier synergy.

B-Tier

  • Rogue
Death Trap and Rapid Fire builds have high burst and mobility, but suffer from lower sustain and defense at the deepest levels.

D4 Season 9 Endgame Barbarian Build - Flay Barbarian

The Flay Barb is going absolutely crazy, hitting for insane amounts of damage on

the PTR. We actually did Pit 150 with this as well, and the bleed damage just keeps ramping up. This one is the best Diablo 4 Season 9 Endgame build thanks to a broken synergy between Flay's high base damage, the new Disintegrate power, and the Syphoning Gizmo, which converts massive DoTs into explosive direct hits. This build ramps up quickly with 100% Lucky Hit, powered by Fists of Fate, letting you proc everything—especially Berserk Ripping, which doubles your damage and brings back old-school burst potential. By combining Cataclysm’s +33x infusion with Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus, Shard of Verathiel, and Fractured Core, the damage multiplies to absurd levels. Even elites melt instantly, and bosses like Balial get one-shot.

D4 Season 9 Endgame Necromancer Build - Summon Necromancer

The Summon Necromancer is a powerful Pit 90+ build in Diablo 4 Season 9 due to its synergy between Shadow damage scaling, elite-targeting minion AI, and high survivability. This “Zoomancer” setup leverages both Skeletons and a Golem as its primary damage dealers, enhanced by key legendary aspects like Service and Sacrifice, Mendeln, and Occult Dominion for huge Shadow bursts and auto-casting utility. It thrives in Pit content thanks to a fully autonomous army that dishes out consistent DPS while keeping the player safe behind a wall of minions. The Hydra Sorcerer shines as a Diablo 4 Season 9 Pit build thanks to its passive-yet-deadly damage setup, centered around the newly enhanced Hydra skill, which can generate over 10 heads and scale burn damage massively—especially with the currently bugged Combustion interaction pushing damage into the thousands of percent. While Hydra turrets melt enemies over time, the build uses Firebolt to boost burning effects, and a rapid Flickerstep evade loop to spam Inferno for bonus burn procs and crowd control. Combined with Apogeic Furor and Eyes in the Dark, each trap cast unleashes massive AoE devastation. Its synergy with high Dexterity scaling, maximum energy stacking, and resource sustain through Lucky Hit mechanics lets the Rogue chain abilities fluidly, while Concealment, Caltrops, and Shadow Step make it one of the most mobile and evasive builds in the game.
