6 Best Islands To Get Honing Materials & Upgrade Your Gear - Full Island Guide For Starters

Island is a great source to obtain a lot of great materials needed to hone and level your gear in LSOT AK. Today we are going to put together a list 6 best islands you should visit to get honing materials, upgrade gear score, easy fast get item level 500 and more. 

Best Islands To Get Honing Materials & Upgrade Your Gear - Easy Fast Ilvl 500

These are a selection of islands that are largely speaking self-contained, a couple of them will have you running around a little bit, but these are the first few islands that are relatively easy to do. They result in a bunch of upgrade materials, harmony shards, harmony leap stones, destruction stone fragments, guardian stone fragments, everything you need to boost your item level. So if you haven't started your island adventure, then follow this LSOT AK beginner island guide!

1. Best Island To Get Item Level 500 - Peyto + Glacier Isle

In order to do this, it starts in Peyto island, it's like a pirate ship in the middle of the ocean, don't forget if you want to find any of these islands open up your map, type the location in the top and when you hit the search button, it will blink in the location, it's just an easy way to basically find where those islands are located. Head over to Peyto and then as soon as you get there on the pirate ship the first thing you want to do is go over and speak to Matthias, it is a purple quest, these are roster quests, so they are account-wide, so if you do happen to be doing these on an alt consider which character you want to have the materials also keep in mind sometimes rewards in this are given to you as shards, sometimes they're given to you in chests, if they're given in chests you can put them in your storage and share them between characters but once they're opened as shards they are bound. 

Anyway, speak to Matthias, get the quest and this begins the Glacial island one. While you're on Peyto, there's also a yellow quest to do, because it also gives you an emote which will be used later on for a different island. You then follow the questline, just click on the quest, follow where it tells you to go, it's going to send you to the glacial islands, it's then going to send you back and forth a little bit. This one does give you a ton of materials, it'll give you 40 harmony leap stones, 20,000 harmony shards, 590 destruction stone fragments and 2,200 guardian stone fragments. 

2. LSOT AK Island To Get Honing Materials - Panda 

You get to transform into a panda and you can even do a panda roll getting around this island but when you get here, there are two different quests, there is a yellow quest which you will get from someone as soon as you begin the island and in doing this you will get 220 weapon crystals, 600 armor crystals and 12,000 harmony shards, plus if you do the purple quest you'll get an additional 160 weapon crystals, 500 armor crystals, and 28 harmony leap stones. 

- The purple quest: Speak to the panda, do the panda stuff, roll around you get them back. 

- The yellow quest: You need to go to three different locations, they're not exactly marked in the map, one of them requires you to jump on what is effectively an invisible jump point. 

3. Best Honing Material Island - Shadow 

This island is where you will find the actual introduction to your first tower shadespire, this is a solo activity that gets progressively harder from floor 1 to 450 at the top, expecting an eye level over 500 at the high end. This activity will give you loads of rewards as you complete it,  the quest line itself will give you around 8,000 harmony shards, 640 weapon crystals, 1,310 armor crystals, and 28 harmony leap stones. The first time that you complete it the materials you receive are roster bound, not player bound, so you can trade it afterwards. It is player bound meaning maybe hold off on this activity for the first time until you have your alt decided as well, so you can use that to fuel your main character. That said the final quest in the chain on shadow island needs a shadow mark which you receive for finishing level 24 of the shadespire tower which is an eye level 440 gated activity. So once you get there, you can go and do that for a further 80 weapon crystals, 140 armor crystals, 10,000 harmony shards and an island heart. So while this island is quite good and has a lot of good rewards, it also requires that you reach that point in the tower to finish it off completely.

4. LSOT AK Island For Easy Fast Ilvl 500 - Golden Wave 

This one is a bit of an oddity and the fact that it just gives you things for very little investment at all. You'll find a bunch of treasure chests full of junk that you can sell, but then also this robot friend who is a bit broken down. Follow a couple of quests for about three minutes to fix them up, it doesn't involve any killing and even it's actually really simple and you'll be done with the majority of this island, walking away with a pile of engraving books and currency for the high price of walking around for three minutes. The island system really is quite the grueling task. 

Admittedly, the Glacial island will take you about 50 minutes meanwhile panda island is about 5 minutes, shadow is about 15.  

5. Best Beginner Island In LSOT AK - Starlight Isle 

This is a long quest line. The first part is only 5 minutes which will give you 10 harmony leap stones, so if you need them quickly you can do that. The rest of it will take you about 50 minutes, but if you do that you will then get 180 harmony leap stones in total and 19,500 harmony shards. The reason this one is a little bit longer is because it will send you back and forth traveling between different regions. So when you get to these ones, do make good use of your Bifrost as a means to quickly teleport back between different areas.

6. Best Island To Upgrade Your Gear - Serenity Isle

It gives you a buttload of guardian and destruction stone fragments, but this one also comes with a skill potion which just gives you more skill points for content that doesn’t use the book of coordination. The first few steps of this take no time at all, talk to the trash pile right by the duck, complete a couple of fetch and kill quests. The main thing worth noting with this one is that you will need to go to two different dungeons, you won't necessarily have to complete them, actually you have to complete one of them, the other one you can go in pretty quickly. 

- Basically, what you need to do is head over to Tortoyk island and head over to the Tortoyk’s heart dungeon. In doing this one, you go in and you kill a few mobs. Once you've done that and complete that part of quest, you can leave. So you don't need to be in that dungeon for very long at all. 

- The other one you need to go back to Saland Hill and go to Morai Ruins and for this one, you do have to complete the dungeon, simply defeat the boss at the end and that will give you the final item. Once you've done that, you have all the things you need to complete the quest. 

These LSOT AK honing material islands are a great place to start, because if you do these and you have all of those ones complete and then maybe look to start doing a few others, after that, you will have most of the materials you need to boost a level 302 item level character all the way up to nearly 460 item level.
