S Tier

Enhancement Shaman

Enhancement Shaman continues to sit at the top of the DPS charts in both single-target and AOE raid encounters. The buffs to core abilities like Lava Lash and the introduction of Primordial Storm have solidified their dominance. The new tier bonuses synergize well with both totemic and Tempest builds, offering flexibility and massive damage potential. Shadow Priest

Despite receiving no major changes to its core talents or abilities in 11.1, Shadow Priest’s new tier set is a game-changer. The tier set increases Power Infusion uptime and boosts key abilities like Mind Blast and Void Bolt, enabling consistent and high damage. Shadow Priests are seeing strong results in raid logs for their sustained output.

A Tier

Fire Mage

Fire Mage underwent significant changes in 11.1, with buffs to Sun King’s Fury and nerfs to Frostfire Bolt. This has shifted the spec toward Sun Fury builds, which offer stronger Combustion uptime and damage. The new tier set, which focuses heavily on Combustion, provides massive boosts to burst potential and cooldown reduction.

Unholy Death Knight

Unholy DK has shifted away from minion-focused builds to a Death Coil-centric playstyle. The buffs to Sudden Doom and Superstrain have made this build more viable, with Death Coil contributing a significant portion of their overall damage. This pivot allows Unholy to excel in single-target raid encounters while still offering decent AOE with Epidemic.

Destruction Warlock

Destruction Warlocks are performing well in multi-target and cleave fights thanks to Havoc and the inherent synergy of their tier set. While their performance in pure single-target encounters is less impressive, their ability to deal sustained damage in two-target fights makes them a strong pick on this the War Within Season 2 raid tier list.

B Tier

Balance Druid

Balance Druids are performing exceptionally well in Mythic+ due to their uncapped AOE (Starfall) and strong cleave damage. However, in raids, their single-target output remains underwhelming. A Tier

Discipline Priest

Discipline Priests are seeing good results due to improved flexibility in their ramping playstyle. While their effectiveness still revolves around Evangelism, the removal of Rapture as a secondary ramp tool has made them more reliant on efficient raid healing.

B Tier

Resto Shaman

Resto Shamans are largely unchanged in 11.1, and their reliance on Chain Heal remains a limitation due to mana constraints. While they perform decently in stacked healing scenarios, their lack of impactful changes has kept them from excelling in the new raid meta.
